The 5 star reviews from 2021 must be false unless they've changed hands as I've never come across such a dishonest, unethical organisation. Their MOTs are obviously false as their vehicles are not road worthy and I doubt their warranties are legit. Someone on their workforce is also a thief and they have been reported to the police. WOULDN'T GIVE THEM A 1 STAR RATING IF THERE WAS AN OPTION TO GO LOWER.

Save yourself the hassle. These cars are NOT fit for purpose.
Bought a car which didn't even last a week. They'll give you 3 great options:
1. Get your car fixed for free
2. Exchange it for another vehicle
3. Receive a refund
Now let me tell you the reality of these:
1. Your car will be patched up just enough to last another day before breaking down again.
2. Your "exchange" will be for another piece of scrap that’s just as bad, if not worse.
3. The refund process is a nightmare, dragging on for months (if you're patient and lucky enough to even get one). And even then they'll conveniently deduct:
- £500 admin fees
- £75 warranty changes
But it's okay because they’ll assure you it’s all covered in their (worthless) contract.
Not to mention the endless stress, and the threatening behaviour which comes with this great customer service.

*Avoid Safe Cars T/A Reliable Cars Bedford*
My friend purchased a car from Safe Cars, and it broke down within *8 miles* of leaving the dealership due to a major gearbox fault. Despite the dealer admitting they knew about the issue, they have refused to refund the money and have been rude, unprofessional, and dismissive throughout. My friend has been left without a car, out of pocket, and incredibly stressed.
This dealership has shown a total lack of honesty and customer care. *Do not trust Safe Cars*– avoid them completely!

I purchased a VW Golf from Safe Cars T/A Reliable Cars Bedford on 13th October 2024 for £3,900. Within just 8 miles of driving, the car developed a major gearbox fault, rendering it completely undriveable. I immediately contacted the dealer, who admitted knowing the fault existed before the sale and promised to resolve the matter.
What followed was nothing short of appalling. Despite numerous promises to refund my money, the dealer has been uncooperative, rude, and dismissive. I have faced verbal abuse over the phone, constant delays, and false assurances of payments being processed. They have refused to honour their legal obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which entitles me to a full refund for a faulty vehicle within 30 days of purchase.
This ordeal has left me without a car, out of pocket, and incredibly stressed. Safe Cars has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, honesty, and customer care. If you value your hard-earned money and peace of mind, I strongly advise you to avoid this dealership at all costs.
I will be pursuing this matter through legal channels, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so others don’t fall into the same situation.

Dodgy from the start. Paid an independent garage for a diagnostic test as the MOT appeared dodgy. It was. The car is not safe to drive. Multiple issues. Dangerous. Dealer ignored my consumer rights to return the car for a full refund - well within 30 days. Ignored my emails and calls. £considerably out of pocket and without transport. Trading Standards on the case - AA Accredited my a**** I am still pursuing this and can't believe people like this get away with totally shafting others. Shame on you.

Please do NOT buy from Safe Cars, aka A&A Reliable Cars.
Immediately on buying our car we knew there was an issue so we contacted them, especially as we had purchased a warranty from them. They have refused to reply to messages, despite us doing everything by the book & we notified them there was a problem within 48 hours of buying the car. We were left with a repair bill we couldn't afford. Shocking service. Screenshots saved & available.
PS I want to leave 0 stars but I have to leave 1 to submit.
