I bought a Porsche from A1 Ortos last year and found out after a few months they had welded the drive train up rather than replace the parts. This is not only dangerous but ended up costing me £2400.00 to put right with a reputable garage. In hindsight i should have walked away when they took three weeks to get the car ready fobbing me off with the typical dealer jargon like we are so busy and a mechanic is off sick and they needed more time to fit new timing belt and water pump to keep the car right. Also the garage that fitted the new torque tube and converter checked the timing belt and pump and they were not changed at all. I woudn't buy a pedal car off A1 Autos knowing what I know now.
I had a good experience with A1 Autos, they gave me the full down low on the car, they pointed out any minor bodywork issues and were very honest about the car, I took it for a test drive and was sold. Good dealership.

I cannot fault the customer service at A1 Ortos, the car wasn't quite as described, it was listed as showroom condition but there was some cosmetic stuff such as parts of the car being a different colour. Mechanically the car has been running fine so I've no complaints as far as that is concerned.

I have my Golf R32 now for a week and I love it, i found Tony very helpful and basically he told me how it was!! I can't understand how some people have left some unthought full reviews?? My experience with Tony was great he just told me how it was!! I will definitely be using again in the future, all the staff was great and they made me feel very welcome and filled me up with good coffee lol. Thanks again
I would recommend A1 Ortos on Middleton Road, Oldham. In all honestly I did have some problems with my car soon after I purchased it so I gave them a call to let them know what happened. To their credit they took the car back in and fixed them for me so really you cant ask anymore than that!

Read these reviews I've had a lucky escape. They had a nice looking navara for sale. After a bit of bartering we agreed a price. I paid a £500 deposit. To be honest I was getting a good deal and was more than happy. However, a week after I paid my deposit I got a call saying the garage had discovered an ecu fault and they don't want to sell the vehicle anymore. Apparently they have traded it on and the diagnostic check seems to have gone with the vehicle. Very handy as I had told them I was very good friends with a Nissan technition and want him to see if it was anything to worry about. So from one evening to the following morning they find a fault and the vehicle is removed from site with the so called report in such a short time. Very convenient as they obviously got more for it trading it on or selling it elsewhere AFTER I had paid a security deposit.. Most annoyed by this garage. Smells like BS to me. They should not have agreed the price if they didn't want to sell if for such a discount. To top it off my deposit could take up to 4 days to be returned!
DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE 3months ago I brought a car from this garage. I live in dorset so rang the garage up, the guy dealing with me was very helpful said I could put a deposit down to secure the car so I did. I wanted to trade in my car as well so he done a couple of checks online and said they would offer me £500. When arrived at the garage the car I was buying was parked outside it has a few scratches on it and a small hole in the rear light cover but these didn't put me off as the car was 3 years old. We took it for a test drive and the car ran lovely. Whilst out on a test drive the garage had my car up on the ramps giving it a full inspection before I traded it in. We got back off the test drive and they tried to offer me scrap value of £100 for my focus as apparently my exhaust was blowing, my drive shaft wasn't screwed in properly so it could snap, a bold tyre and a few other things, the list was endless. We knew full well none of this was true apart from the tyre, it wasn't bold but could of done with changing. Anyway my car now is in audi with a list of things wrong with it and the bill is going to be near enough £3000. My partner rang a1 ortos and told them what's happened and all they could say was that my 3 month gaurantee was up Wednesday so they couldn't help as my car was going in the garage the following Wednesday. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE!!!
I purchased a subaru impreza wrx from a1. I decided to take the car to my local and trusted dealer for a once over. Bearing in mind a1 mot'd and serviced the car prior to collection. The local garage found numerous faults and MOT failures galore. Illegal tyres, brakes were faulty, wishbone was damaged too. Car had also had some accident damage that I missed when viewing. I'd avoid this dealer and stick to a main dealer, or supermarket. Also worth mentioning that their free 3 year service and MOT is simply an oil and filter change only, not a full service
There was 2 things we need sorting, only small things, i have spoken to A1 Ortos about this and they have told me to come in. Something else missing from the ad, disappointed about this, it should not be advertised if not being provided. Disappointing, however I would recommend them as I do hope all my little issues get sorted, i wouldn't expect them not which is why it would be very bad of me to not say i recommend

I've just read a load of negative reviews, you will get that with anything, everybody had different expectations. I bought a suzuki swift sport from them in feb 13, the car was as described and very tidy. Only one thing is that they put a full MOT on the car and it was found to have an excessively worn ball joint on the front wish bone. I just presumed it rattled because it wasn't built solid like my previous car a VW golf. So I decided to buy a set if POWERFLEX bushes for the front end to stiffen it up. While having these professionally fitted that's when it came to my local garages attention that it was the ball joint making all the noise. Now rather than take it on a 50min journey back and fuel costs I ordered my mechanic to purchase 2 brand new wishbones withe new ball joints and insert my new uprated Powerflex bushes into these. The car then felt like it should to drive, nice and tight without any banging and rattling. My battery was also found to be on it's last legs.
Many years ago, a young man named Paul had a dream of owning his own car dealership and in 2008 A1 Ortos was born. After his experience in several main dealerships he learned a lot of key skills which have been refined to do things differently, the right way, the A1 Ortos way! We believe everybody should get the opportunity to buy the right vehicle, at the right price, without the old pushy sales tactics, as buying a car from us is a very special moment in your life and should be treated accordingly.
All of our staff come from a customer service background which is displayed in the real family atmosphere created. Regardless of the amount of money being spent we strive for the same professional yet friendly and comfortable buying experience for every single customer. Making sure our cars leave at the highest possible level is important to everybody at the A1 Ortos family and we make sure no corners are cut in any way, as Paul has always said 'if a job is worth doing, its worth doing properly!' After all, buying a used car with a new car feeling is a very good feeling!
