Hi, I had exactly the same issue, we bought a car for my son. A less than two weeks later the back suspension broke, the car had an MOT but the car was very badly corroded. I reported them DVSA, they done an independed inspection and said the car should never had a MOT, It was not road worthy. It's now been almost 3 months, and they do not want to give our money back, they say its the MOT company's fault, I also sent two letters as advised by the Citizens Advice. Looks like I have to take them to the small claims court. What did you do to resolve this? We could not get the money back via the Bank either. They put people's lives at risk, My son just got his licence and if that car broke on the motor way He might have been seriously injured. These guys do not care at all. What else can I do to get my money back? Any Advice

DONT BUY FROM THESE For any of you that have been caught out buying a car from these it seems they are part of a group of people that are selling cars that are not up to standard, Many complaints about the cars not being road legal when they have just been given an MOT. ( it would be interesting to see if they were all MOT'd at the same garage. They seem to trade from different names as well. So Basher ( Ben) Hammoudi seemed to be the front person at A40 motors. When you look into it there are Many others involved. the company names involved are. Kargate, A40 motors, Pitlane carsales. Studley Green Motors. and a few more. People involved or linked to this scam are Basher Hammoudi, A 40 motors Raja Habib Khan. Studley Green Motors Boucsein Yves Raphael & Gniadek Grzegorz stefan registered to Pitlane Motors ( same correspondence address as A40 motors 71-75, Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ before they changed it) We have purchased a car from them in March that then broke down with complete engine failure after 3 weeks. Since then we cant get hold of anyone at the company, with no reply to emails either, the car was given a new MOT apparently the day before we collected it. They told us that they would be sending off the log book but like many others they didn't send it off and still have not nearly 6 weeks later. reading the reviews this is a common thing from them not sending the Log books off. there are a few people on here that have had issues with these as well. I would be interested to see what garage carried out the MOT if you have purchased a car from these and then had problems with the car not being road worthy.

We have had the same issue. Purchased a car which broke down within 3 weeks. Engineer failure. Now no reply at all from them. No Log and they have not sent it off. Patently they got a mot on a Sunday as well ? I think everyone with issue need to get together and then go after them. I bet it’s the same mot bay they use everytime for these mots.

Literally up there today - Dealership is gone and they are nowhere to be seen. Found their virtual office and a chop shop that is on the same block. Pretty sure my car has been stolen, and I'll never get it or the money back. Police are involved, but Bashar seems to have disappeared.

Hi They sold us a car for my Son in February, The car broke two weeks later, The back suspension broke as a result of severe corrosion. Luckily, he was driving to college in 30mph zone. I contact the dealer and he said its not his fault, A mechanic inspected the car and said it should not have a MOT. MOT was issued Dec 24, I then reported them to Driver Vehicle Standards Agency, They inspected the car and failed it. The MOT company has now been reported and given disciplinary action. A40 Motors said its not their issue. My son could have been killed if he was on a motorway, These guys has no care about peoples lives and they could get someone seriously hurt. its now been 3 months and They still do not care. I reported them to Citizens Advise and sent the 2 letters and looks like now I have to go to small claims court. DO you have any advise? Thank You Braam Truter

Hi We bought a car for my son 3 weeks ago , thus week the back shock and spring broke of. It was very badly corroded and we took it to a garage , They said it should never have passed an MOT. MOT is 2 months old says nothing about corrosion. The dealer said its not his fault but the MOT people. He wont take the car back. The car is dangerous and not roadworthy. Cant believe they still doing this What was the outcome with your car?
