stars are solely based on the car itself , it’s a decent car and the wife loves it. The customer service however is probably the worst I’ve experienced in a long time . I part exchanged a car and , during the deal at the office , when asking me to ‘bring the log book as quickly as possible ‘ the owner told me I could get a fine if I didn’t get it back to him ? Moving on , I mentioned the damaged gear stick ( a common fault ) and they said we’ll get you another one .... well they definitely got me another one , just as bad as the one on the car !! Ha ha ha .... they asked me to call each day to see if it had arrived ( they wanted their log book badly) and put the phone down on me twice while I was asking them if it had arrived. When it finally came I was that disappointed With the condition of it I couldn’t even stay at the place to ask them about it. I just went and bought another gear stick. Here I am nearly 4 weeks later waiting for the log book for a car that was advertised with a service history ...... 2 services in 2018 and a scribbled compliment slip saying ‘ interim service’ .... like I say it’s a decent motor and she loves it but if it’s customer service you’re after then I’d avoid this place if I’m honest. I’m sure they aren’t like this with everyone or they wouldn’t have been there that long but I wouldn’t go again . ***UPDATE*** Now I have a Congestion Charge Notice for the car we part exchanged !! I think we can all see what happens to the paperwork there then 🙄 Such a shame really because Tom is a really nice polite , helpful bloke. He called Me today , told me they never had a logbook for the vehicle in the first place , blamed eBay for the gearstick and the DVLA for everything else ha ha ha Oh well , lessons learnt for sure , keep smiling

sold me a car, promised to do repairs....6months now and all the work they had said was done wasnt....sent emails and texts and basically hes said good luck and no responses hes so cocky and plays the system...and been told hes trading again elsewhere.

Viewed a car, left a deposit, as the car needed some bits doing...never saw the car or our money again...shouldn’t be allowed to operate!
Put down a deposit. Pulled me along for weeks and at the end found they have closed up. When confronting them for my deposit, they promised to refund. Never happened. Ending in court claim. Now opening in the same location under a different name . Same guy, says his father now owns the company. Dont throw away your money.

I purchased my car in January (16th) and upon collection my husband noticed damage to the rear bumper. He queried this and was informed that it must have been sustained during the final valet and that if I contact them on the coming weekend they will book it in for a repair. On Monday 23rd January I contacted them querying the repair and also advised that my dash was displaying a message to service my stabilitrak. I contacted them via the methods I had done previously, but no response received. The car was serviced by a local garage and I managed to claim about 80% of costs back through the 6 month warranty. Less than 2 months since purchase date, my dash then displayed a message to check engine coolant. Husband added coolant but messaged displayed again the next day. Tried to contact AMC again but no response. Car taken back to local garage who have confirmed my head gasket has gone! I immediately contacted AMC via email and posted a letter - still no response received! AMC do not seem prepared to help out customers after they have made the sale! Stay clear of this company at all costs and be sure to use a business with great after sales care! I have since seen a review from a customer who experienced similar issues to mine. Will now be going through the courts but it appears their website and contact number are now no longer available! Note - The guys there could not have been any nicer when we were viewing the car and sorting out the exchange for mine! They appeared to be genuinely nice guys, little did I know that once the transaction was final, they would completely wash their hands of me and leave me carless! This company doesn’t even deserve 1 star!

I recently purchased a vehicle from Advantage motor company in Southampton and the member of staff couldn't have been more helpful. He explained everything and told me about the car . I can honestly say buying from Advantage is truely relaxing buying experience.

Very impressed with the service and range of stock at Advantage Motor Company. A car to meet any pocket with a wide selection. No heavy pressure sales tactics were used, something I have experienced at other dealerships. Would recommend this company to anyone serious about looking for an unique car buying experience.
Advantage Motor Company are an awful company to deal with if there are problems. Communication was very one way - virtually non existent. They sold me a vehicle which was not fit for purpose would not refund. It took 11 months going through the county court system and a visit from the high court enforcement team before the money was returned. If you do decide to purchase from this company I would recommend that you check that all of the paperwork is with the vehicle before parting with your money.

Went to a few car garages today in southampton and luckily for us Advantage motor company. Were open on a Sunday as we could then sit in a few cars and drive three. Found a very nice car that was less money than we had seen in another garages today that was closed which is not good as we both work all week so only the weekends free. As I said though all was well and we bought a new car. Thank you so much Advantage motor company Southampton.
