Being in need of a van very quickly, I foolishly ignored warnings and advice from friends and bought a Peugiot Partner from the AFD. The realisation of my error came about six minutes after purchase when I stopped for diesel and the fuel cover was held in place with Blu Tac!. Had this been the only issue I would have lived with it but the MOT certificate that appeared so quickly after I showed interest had no advisories when it was given to me even though many issues that should have failed were passed. I am having their certification approval investigated by the Vehical Standards Agency. Only months later, a slave cylinder failed and they quoted me £160 inclusive to fix it. Without my permission, they fitted a full clutch and other sundry parts bringing the bill to £545. I cannot understand how an organisation like this stay in business, but I strongly suggest you look elsewhere if buying second hand or looking for vehicle repair. The staff are arrogant, aggressive and argumentative. I am currently looking into various other aspects of their business but there are many other companies with far higher standards available in Nottingham. You have been warned!

Avoid ! Don’t purchase from here or you’ll regret it. Only a few months of ownership and I’m already over a grand deep replacing / fixing things that should of done before putting up for sale or Atleast having the decency to let you know what needs doing so you don’t find out yourself an have to pay out the back teeth. Only get a month warranty and that doesn’t cover much. Crooks this place should be closed down.

Don't buy a car from there as you don't get very good after care service we brought a car from there and after less than 2000 miles it needs the brakes sorting out but we took the car back for them to check them as they were making noises etc and was told that they had sorted them out but obviously they haven't!!

We purchased a car from AFD of Mapperley, which turned out to have a huge catalytic converter fault. They lied to us when they said they carried out diagnostics so we ended up taking legal action against them, which we won, but AFD of Mapperley have to date not paid the sum awarded to us by the Judge, it has now been over a year since purchasing the car at it cost nearly £800 to get the fault fixed. AFD of Mapperley still hasn't paid the Judge's order. They also threatened us and lied to us. In their part-ex option they gave us only £150 for our car and then sold the same car for over £1,500! Avoid this dealer at all costs.

I have used AFD to service all our families cars, i.e. My car as well as my wife and daughter, over the years and highly recommend them. They go the extra mile to deliver a good service with a competitive price.

I have to defend AFD of Mapperley especially Dom the owner .listen i always been a friend of these guys they always made me feel like im an equal to them . I brought a car of these guys and i found it to be perfect never let me down . Not once. I would not say they are a bad company or are bad people . The thing is .if a car leaves them in working order then it works they cannot see inside the engine . If it is in good order when the vehicle leaves them. Then they have nothing to answer to surely.. and im sure 100% if you do right by them they look after you. ..

If I could give AFD of Mapperley 0 stars I would. Don’t believe what they say in the description, the vehicle will be in poor condition mechanically. If it wasn’t for the 30 days consumer rights I would have been stuck with a pile of trash with them making accusations such as I purchased the car to “thrash”. They believe “thrashing” a car is when you hit 4000RPM, more like 7000RPM, which I couldn’t reach even if I wanted to, due to the “rev limiter” at 4000RPM, which is normal in there eyes? When I called to get 5 problems fixed, they responded with we can’t guarantee we can fix it? I don’t think they know what they are doing as an “experienced” motor trader. All friendly when you are looking to buy the car but as soon as there’s a problem they don’t want anything to do with it! Very disappointing.

Ive had about four cars from this garage If iive had a problem Rang the dealer up .Bring it in well sort it out for you .Theve done that plus curtious car ...10/ 10 Dennis .(Curly)

The Jesse James of car dealers. They promised to fix a small problem, made excuse after excuse. I am off to trading standards. Do not touch them, if you do it will cost you. I have submitted the details to BBC Watchdog (Rouge Traders).

Do not go anywhere near AFD of Mapperley. I am about to take them to court for various problems relating to a purchase. I have even got a parking fine months after my car was given in part exchange.
