Thank you for posting your review on Car dealer reviews. As your husband Harry, has already posted this to our google review back in September, where we have responded in full to all your points for those who would like more information. However, whilst i welcome the points you make in this review 5 months after purchasing a part exchange clearance 2006 Nissan Xtrail 115K, from us. For the record the car was serviced, safety checked and inspected for fit for purpose, and sold with a 30 day major parts warranty only, 3 months Mot at purchase, independently Mot'd again, 3 months after purchase free of charge, hence sold with 15 months Mot. *The battery issue. We have acknowledged this was an oversight, and had we been informed at the time, not 5 weeks after the event, we would have certainly arranged the correct original battery to be fitted. *Knocking noise from the car. This was the opposite side to the wheel the wheel bearing was fitted by our service department. We were also made aware that third parties had been involved in the car, we fail to see how we can be singled out for a wheel that had become so loose that the wheel studs had fallen out. We also made what we thought was a valid safety comment, that at the time on hearing a knocking noise the driver had not taken the sensible steps to stop and make the necessary safety checks. *Black Paint at the back of the car. Like most 4x4 vehicles, especially those which have been used for their purpose, it is not unusual for them to have had as apart of routine maintenance repairs/welding to parts of the underside of the car, as good maintenance practice any repairs to metalwork should be suitably protected by the use of a protective underseal. We are confident this is what your concern is about. We understand that nobody likes motoring expenses, especially when you least expect them, however, sometimes when choosing the type of car to buy, consideration has to be given to the vehicle's age and mileage, term of warranty. On older cars, especially 4X4s it is inevitable that there will always be some degree of wear and tear. We are disappointed that you feel that our service and support has not met your expectations, but I can assure you that we take all our customers' reviews seriously, and where we feel we have failed in areas any necessary changes will be implemented Geoff Rider Affordablecars4u
