I originally went to the showroom at Bilbrough top and saw I car I liked. However I wanted the same vehicle but slightly more advanced. The person I was dealing with instantly got onto his computer and looked around. He found what I was looking for at the Crockey Hill showroom. I went and had a look, no pressure at all. Great staff who were happy to help. Found the car I wanted and purchased. Good team.

Affordable Cars York have a really good selection of quality used vehicles. No pressure tactics on the selling side. And prepared to do a deal on price. I purchased a Mercedes Benz B Class and dealt with both Joel and Tom who were very helpful and quick to get back to me with any answers to my questions. Fingers crossed the car is as reliable as the service I received from Affordable Cars. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Hopefully I can do business with them in the future.

I don't think you could call this place a showroom, it's more like a west end show, you are made welcome in a very friendly atmosphere with no one pushing you in any direction, looked after in meany ways with people fetching you this and that on request, all the staff are very knowledgeable on all there vehicles and willing to show you. After I had made my decision I was offered a very fair price for my old car in part ex and the business was completed within one hour,It takes my wife longer to pick a pair of shoes. I can with my hand on my heart recommend Affordable Cars York to all my friends and people that know me. J.T.Dixon.

Affordable cars have disgusted me I bought a BMW 3 series 3 months back firstly I got the car I asked for the car check report he said system was down I will print it when you collect car came to collect the car he had forgot to print it out he said will email it I never got it ! After week of owning the car washer jet cap fell of 1 month after owning the car tyre pressure light came of I reset it checked them all they was all okay did it again I went in to the dealer they just made excuses week later car developed a bad idea I asked them they said it's fine I took the car to BMW they said dual mass fly wheel is going the cost was £2000 warranty only covers up to £750 I asked the dealer for my money back they was just making excuses I've only had the car 3 months and covered 2500 miles this company is a disgrace you think your buying from a premium brand how wrong was I the place is unorganised and rude do not buy from here !!!

Paul Dhesi from Affordable Cars Prestige Car Supermarket in response to Disgrace

With regards to this review, we can confirm the HPI report for the vehicle was in the blue pack which also contained the warranty information and service history. When visiting the showroom, it was visible to see the washer jet had been removed and had surrounding accident damage, so had not fallen off which the customer claims! With regards to the tyre pressure light, it was also visible, that every alloy wheel had extensive damage and also to the side walls of the tyres had chunks taken out of them. Customer claimed the wheels were like that on purchase, however we showed him that we had spent £160 on refurbishment prior to the vehicle coming onto sale. BMW HAVE CONFIRMED that the flywheel is in a used, but operable condition considering age and miles on the vehicle. At this point, Affordable Cars Group are not willing to give the customer his money back, as the vehicle is now in a poor condition due to customer negligence. The flywheel is covered under the customer warranty and can be replaced at a fraction of the cost BMW are quoting. To date, no claim against the vehicle has been made. We strongly disagree with this review.

I have had a similar experience with a BMW I bought from them - the car developed a misfire within the first week then the management light came on the dashboard - when I called I was met with rude indifference and told to use the (hopeless) free warranty provided - the warranty covers a maximum of £750 per incident - the managed to reduce their exposure by describing some of the engine parts as "wear and tear". Put the car into auction to save anymore aggravation. #avoidaffordablecars, #avoidaftermarketwarranties

If you have a problem with this garage check the new consumer law they cannot just fob you off, YOU HAVE STATUTORY RIGHTS that they cannot wriggle out of BY LAW !!!

Paul Dhesi from Affordable Cars Prestige Car Supermarket in response to Disgrace

Stuart With regards to your recommendation to auction a vehicle we are somewhat confused!! The vehicle that you speak about is still in your possession and has not been sent to auction and if it has been sold by yourself the warranty company will need to be notified as you have recently received a payment from the described (hopeless) warranty as you have recently made a claim for the fault that actually happened 3 months after purchasing the vehicle not a week? Now I have looked at the claim and there was a £36 reduction on the authorised claim but this was not due to parts not being covered this was due to the garage where the car was being repaired overcharging an extra £36 for the part more than a main dealers recommended selling price.

Paul Dhesi I feel sorry for you, you clearly have mommy issues which is why you're so emotional and unhinged. Look it's no one else fault your manhood is so microscopic, so stop taking it out on innocent members of the public. Get psychiatric help, you are a danger to yourself and the public.

Max went out of his way to make me feel comfortable about purchasing my Audi A6. He clearly communicated everything that I needed to know and was very accommodating when it came to any and all queries and concerns that I had. He is definitely the opposite of the usual shady used car salesman stereotype. I would have no hesitation in recommending Max and Affordable Cars to family and friends. I felt as though I could buy with confidence and that is vital when making such big purchases.

Thank you for the great recommendation and one thing you will never find at affordable cars is a shady dodgy car salesman as we are very selective of who makes it into our team. Many Thanks and we hope you are enjoying your new car Affordable Cars Team

Wen't in on a Saturday to Affordable Cars York to look for a car for my wife and came out with a 3 year old diesel 3 series. Joel and Derek were excellent and very friendly, gave me a tough but fair price on our part ex and we could have left the same day had we had all of the documentation with us for the part exchange. Good service, excellent price and good to buy from an independent rather than just a main dealer.

I bought an Audi A4 and had to return car same day due to blue smoke beaming from exhaust on return the sales man arrange for it to be fixed they had my car a week and said it was dpf fault we wasn't convinced but collected the car a week later after 12 miles on are drive home the engine management light came on again so I rang affordable cars who said they would pick up the car which I thought they was been helpful after reading a lot of negative reviews after I had bought the car. the mechanic said that the dpf sensor had failed and they had changed it max the manager brought back the Audi as I was unable to collect on delivery my partner took the car off Max's hands and asked where the receipt of work they had done max said that I didn't need one as it was only the sensor the next day I took the car for a drive 19 miles and the engine management light on again! Plus smoke had returned I took the car back up to affordable car where I was promised the car would be sorted by Audi and if problem re occurs I will get my money back the car went into Audi Leeds and I called in on them who told me the list of faults they had found and they was waiting for affordable cars to give them the go ahead to do the work I then got a phone call from max who told me his mechanic was doing the work and they would take back to Audi to be checked after they have done the work all this sounded very reasonable. We stressed to max on the return of the car he deals with myself so I can check over the car and make sure I have receipts of proof of work for some reason he had contacted my partner even though I left my number after him fobbing her off last time, she felt bullied into saying she would take the receipt of the car back as he had a answer for everything to why I didn't need to be there. I managed to get home just after he arrived with my car on inspection of my car it is covered in scratches the tyre walls on 2 tyres are split that max said was fine as wouldn't fail an mot! My alloys that I 100% checked before I bought the car are chipped and scratched the full side of the car looks like it's been scratched along something and once again I had no fuel max just began fobbing me off an answer to everything.on the previous return of my car the fuel light was on he promised me that when he brought it back I would have half a tank of fuel and yet again no where near. We have recorded conversations with max and got reciept this time of work that we wasn't going to get until my partner told him we must have it this time. We do have receipt of refund but been threatened about going through his legal team I really get the impression that he doesn't think we will go down the legal route trading standards are already investigating as I found out after some research and to say he's so quick to mention a legal case says guilt that he knows what they are doing!

Staff from Affordable Cars Prestige Car Supermarket in response to Shocking avoid!!

Here are the FACTS. This used vehicle was purchased from our A64 site. The vehicle was in good condition with age related marks and scratches. The customer viewed, test drove an bought the vehicle. A day or two later the customer came back to the dealership with the engine management light on and smoke emitting from the exhaust. We apologised for the inconvenience and assured the customer we would get the car in to our service centre ASAP and provided the customer a courtesy car. After diagnosing a DPF fault our service centre carried out a DPF regeneration seemingly fixing the fault. A test drive of the vehicle was carried out and no faults reoccurred. The vehicle was handed back to the customer. The next day the engine management light reappeared. The vehicle was again taken in to our service centre and the DPF sensor was replaced. After another extended test drive the vehicle was fault free whilst in our possession and delivered to the customer's home. The reason for contacting the customer's partner was because the customer was at work and we were told he had a driving job. When the customer's partner asked for a receipt Max informed the customer he did not have a receipt on him however it was the DPF sensor and if they would like a receipt to contact our service centre and they would be happy to provide one. We could only deliver the vehicle between our working hours. The only other alternative was for the customer to collect the vehicle which we felt was not an option because the customer had already been greatly inconvenienced. The engine management appeared for a third time after the customer had taken collection. We were shocked and apologetic that the customer had yet again been inconvenienced by this issue. We assured the customer we would resolve this issue and should the same fault reoccur we would offer a full refund of the vehicle. As a group we sell approximately 200+ vehicles a month and customer satisfaction is paramount. We took the vehicle to an Audi specialist for diagnostics. They diagnosed an EGR Valve fault which was replaced by our service team and given the all clear. The vehicle was then taken back to the Audi specialist to confirm the vehicle was now fault free to which they passed with an all clear. Upon delivery of the vehicle to the customer's home the customer accused us of scratching his vehicle and causing damage to the alloy wheels and tyres. The customer refused to take receipt of the car. Our Sales Manager Max who had dealt with the customer courteously and professionally all the way through informed the customer he would take the car back to the dealership and the issues could be addressed the following day as this was outside of business hours and there was no one to report this to being so late in the evening. The customer refused to let Max take the vehicle. Max then informed the customer he would take the courtesy car away (which was the arrangement and already had the keys for). The customer became irate and aggressive. Max felt threatened and had to call the police. The police could hear how the customer was behaving and they assured Max they would treat this as urgent due to the customers language and behaviour as this was a breach of the peace. The customer then proceeded to lay down in front of the courtesy car to prevent Max from leaving. Finally after almost 30 minutes of intimidating behaviour the customer let Max leave. A day or two later the engine management light came back on to which The Affordable Cars Group honoured their promise giving the customer a full refund and their original part exchange vehicle back in exactly the same condition. The customer was happy and apologised for his behaviour and thanked Max for all he had done. He even said he would remove this review to which we have messages stating this. A few days later the customer messaged to say his part exchange was scratched on the exterior and interior again suggesting we caused the damage. We did not respond as we have done everything by the book. We acted professionally and courteously at all times. We did not cause damage to the customer's vehicle and we issued a full refund.

The team at Affordable Cars in Yorkshire couldn't have been more helpful when I bought my Mercedes from them in January. The whole process was smooth and nice and easy. The car was lovely and clean and in really good condition and I would happily recommend this dealership to anyone. Their customer service was excellent.
