Bought a car from this dealer early this year. Had a couple issues with the key and the way the car was sold. Make sure you don't take the staffs word for things in the car and double check everything before buying. Staff were very arrogant when I called them to discuss. Would never buy from here again, terrible service. They were agressive and rude, could have been a lot more gentle/understanding in their approach to my concerns.

Pretty average experience with this dealership. I bought a Honda Civic from them not too long ago. I've had no major issues with it. It was reasonably priced and the dealers were helpful. I would recommend.

very rude manager.......i had an audi tt to part exchange and the manager told me he had problems with this model tt and gave me a part ex price of £6000 as all he could do with it was to send it to auction when in fact he advertised it on his website for £7750 .......very rude.

In regards to your review I am sorry to hear that you dissatisfied with the customer service you received. As you are aware car dealerships make money on cars they buy and sell. The Audi TT in question had to receive a full mechanical inspection, a new cam-belt and water pump, an intermittent engine management light fault rectification, a full valet and vehicle detail, alloy wheel refurbishment and a machine polish. We advertised the vehicle taking in to account the money we had to spend on the vehicle in order to sell it. Making a profit on vehicles that we sell is part of being a car dealership and I hope you can understand this.
I bought a Hyundai i20 in York in September 2015 for £4,700 + recommended £200 for two year warranty. I was told that the car was in good condition apart from the air conditioning which was not working but just need to be recharged come the spring. I was told this would cost around £40. It turned out that the reason it did not work was because of a leak in the condenser, leaving me with a bill for over £200. Needless to say, this was ot covered by the recommended warranty. Not only that, but the garage that replaced the condenser told me that it was actually bad for the engine to drive without this functioning properly. Anyway, my point is that Affordable Cars must have known the reason why the air conditioning was not working properly. They could probably have got it repaired themselves chaper that I could. The whole thing just seems like a really cheapskate way to go about their business. Apart from the airconditioning, the only problem I had was with the brakes, which needed a complete overhall when I brought the car for its MOT, a year, and 6,000 miles after purchase.

In regards to your review we pointed out before the sale that the air conditioning was not working as we like to be up front with any issues before the customer parts with any money. Driving the car from 2015 would allow for potential wear and tear and potential deterioration of seals leading to a leak in your air conditioning. We are sorry to learn of the issue you experienced however we feel leaving a damaging review without proof of an existing leak is incredibly unfair considering we were upfront about the air conditioning being inoperative.

Would highly recommend this dealership, The salesman knew a lot about the car i was interested in and talked me through finance. Gave me a reasonable part exchange price and wasn't pushy. 5/5 stars

After purchasing my car I was advised that my car would have sat nav and it was highly recommended that I needed the six months warranty pack and had to pay additional £99 on top of the vehicle purchase price to have this!!! and after having my car a day the sat nav didn't work so I contacted the dealership in York where I purchased the vehicle from they advise me that I needed to go on eBay or ring Mercedes up to buy a satnav module. I was not advised on purchasing my vehicle that I would need this additional module for my satnav to work!!! Not happy about that has it's a added cost of around £400 for the module!!!!!! That's the first problem now onto the next. The salesperson recommended to me that I needed the six months vehicle warranty before I leave dealership after. The salesperson gave me my warranty book and told me to contact them to confirm the warranty, I read in the booklet and was advised by the warranty company that I could cancel within seven days and the warranty company on the phone advise me that I would receive my £99 fee back because it was an additional add-on fee and told me to contact the dealership where I bought the vehicle from and let them know that I was cancelling to receive my money back. The sales people and managers so rude to me over the phone wouldn't let me talk and kept putting me on hold every time it was my turn to talk I am so shamed by this company and the after-care that's they offer at affordable cars in York and Tadcaster is disgraceful of how they talk to their customers they advise me that I wouldn't get my £99 back because it was an admin fee but I advised by your sales person upon purchasing my vehicle that the £99 was a warranty package not an admin fee they will not give me my money back so I'm having to speak to citizens advice about returning my vehicle and getting my money back. Customers of available cars in York and Tadcaster to be careful of these guys hopefully from my bad experience with this company it may help your decision not to go with them.

In regards to Justin's review, our legal team is currently pursuing this customer for defamation. The vehicle was NOT advertised with satellite navigation which the court will see the original advert proving this. Also proof the £99 Administration fee was CLEARLY STATED on all adverts.
Having worked as a car salesman previously, there is a level of service you begin to expect and these fall well short. A rude, almost teenage salesman that barely looked up from his iPad. Extortionate Finance rates just complement the whole experience! Would not recommend to anyone, if this is how they are before the sale, who knows what to expect after! There are plenty more garages where I can spend my 15k on a car!

I purchased a Mini over the weekend and could not have asked for a better experience. I had all the help I needed and everything was explained properly. Having contacted this company twice to enquire about a car they are advertising, nobody has bothered to get back in contact with me. I count myself lucky, because if this is how the treat potential customers, I hate to think how their after sales service is. Having read the negative reviews of this company since. I have decided to spend my money elsewhere
