Very rude and unhelpful staff apart from Leon. Got told they were negotiable with price so drove an hour home and back the next day to find out they wouldn't budge on price and have no reasoning for it and it was very overpriced especially as the back seats were not even attached. Do not bother with this garage.

I bought a BMW this weekend from Affordable Cars at Crockey Hill York having spent several months tracking prices on Autotrader and viewing their car stock on at least three occasions. I ended up speaking to three of their sales staff and found all of them to be helpful and not pushy. They even allowed my wife a test drive in an Audi A1 even though she said she wouldn't be buying one any time soon. The buying / trade in / finance side was handled quickly and without fuss, with no suprises. It is early days with the car but I am delighted with it to date. Based on my experience I will be back and would recommend Affordable Cars

Bought my car from Affordble cars in October 16. After 2 months, it wouldn't start. Contacted the garage and they fitted a new battery. 3 months later it's doing it again. I rang them and spoke to a salesman (the one who sold me the car) and his exact words were 'what do you expect when you buy a second hand car, things go wrong with them'. Firstly, after spending 8k on a car and buying it from a reptuable garage, I wouldn't have said it was an appropriate comment. Secondly, he told me to ring my breakdown (which was included in the deal) this had to be set up by email on the day of purchasing. He was adamant this had been done, only to then ask for email as they hadn't taken it to start with. I managed to get the car to their garage and the mechanic told me basically I shouldn't use cheap fuel as that had caused the problem. 2 weeks later it did it again. Contacted the garage and they told me to take it to halford because they were too busy. Halfords sound the fault in a few seconds and said the air filter was blocked solid. Nothing to do with the fuel according to halfords. I wouldn't rate their after sales and find certain members of staff extremely rude. The car I have bought was well priced and is a good car, but the few problems that it has had, have been difficult for the garage to sort, even though I paid the extra money for the extended warranty.

Tried to buy a VW UP from this dealer about an hour ago and the sensitive young secondhand car salesman asked us to leave and refused to sell us the car we were looking at. I was asking lots of questions about the finance price versus the cash price and he didn't understand the interest rates and couldn't give us a straight answer. Refused to negotiate on price simply saying 'we don't do discounts', offered us £50 trade in on the car we pulled up in. He got so flustered when he couldn't answer my simple questions that he walked off and refused to deal with us anymore saying I was rude obnoxious and talked down to him. Whatever happened to the good old days when a car salesman gave as good as he got.

I recently bought a 2012 MINI ONE from Affordable Cars York and have been pleased so far. The service at the York branch was great and very helpful. A lovely geordie man looked after us from start to finish! Thank you!

I recently bought a VW UP from Leon at affordable cars - amazing service and a fantastic deal on the car. I would recommend the dealership to people, and in particular Leon for going that extra mile to make sure everything was what we were looking for in our new purchase. I am writing on behalf of a female work colleague, who is afraid to write a review. Her experience has been absolutely appalling, she felt hounded to do a deal on a BMW, she paid a deposit and on reflection decided she didnt want the car because things didnt seem right. The car when looked at very closely had bodywork patch ups on all four doors, tyres where just in the legal limit and i mean just, some poor paintwork finishing and a whole lot more of small defects. there had been a professional viewing over this car and it was deemed unfit for sale. Give this company a big miss, if you're lucky you might fall on your feet and come up trumps, but i doubt it.
