I bought my car from Affordable Cars York last year and have had no end of problems, it's cost me half of what I paid for the car and to add to that the sump has now got a hole in it from severe corrosion which is now going to cost me a further £600 on top of the £3000 already spent since early last year, the garage don't care less and quite frankly in my opinion based on what happened to me they are not fit to sell used cars. Avoid Affordable Cars York at all costs.

THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE CAR YOU JUST BOUGHT. I BOUGHT A PORSCHE AND I PAID TOP MONEY FOR IT, AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS MY CAR NEEDED A SMALL REPAIR, THE GARAGE WHICH IS A PORSCHE APPROVED BODY SHOP INFORMED ME THAT THE CAR I HAD BOUGHT FROM AFFORDABLE CARS OF TADCASTER YORK WAS IN A MAJOR AND SEVERE ACCIDENT AND HAD BEEN REPAIRED TO A POOR STANDARD. I CONTACTED AFFORDABLE CARS AS THEY CLEARLY STATED TO ME AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE THAT THE CAR HAD NO ACCIDENT DAMAGE WHATSOEVER, THEY CLEARLY LIED TO ME I CONTACTED THEM TO SEE WHAT THEY WOULD DO TO RECTIFY THIS ISSUE FOR ME THEY TOLD ME TO GO AWAY AND NOT TO BOTHER THEM AGAIN AFTER SPENDING 12K ON A CAR THAT WAS NOW WORTHLESS, I WASN'T IMPRESSED I WROTE THEM SEVERAL EMAILS AND SENT TWO INDEPENDENT REPORTS THAT CLEARLY STATED THAT THE CAR WASN'T FIT FOR PURPOSE. THEY DIDN'T EVEN RESPOND TO THE COMPLAINT. ESSENTIALLY COULDN'T GIVE A TOSS ABOUT THE FACT THEY HAD SOLD ME A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CAR, NOW THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND IM LEFT MASSIVELY OUT OF POCKET. NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS USED CAR DEALER, THEY ARE CLEARLY JUST AFTER YOUR MONEY, THAT IS THE END OF THE RELATIONSHIP, EVERY TIME I CALL THEM NOW THEY JUST PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME AND CLEARLY DONT CARE ABOUT THE FACT THAT IM LEFT WITH AN AWFUL CAR THAT IS DANGEROUS. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, IT MAY COST YOU MORE THAN MONEY TO DRIVE AN AFFORDABLE CAR FROM TADCASTER. BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY THEY COULDN'T GIVE A CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE CAR THEY SOLD YOU AS LONG AS THEY HAVE ALL YOUR MONEY. WELL I HOPE SOME PEOPLE READ THIS AS THEIR BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ME AND THE PURCHASE I MADE IN JANUARY 15, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE BAD NEWS AND CLEARLY THEY KNEW (OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN) THE CAR WAS DAMAGED BEFORE SALE AND DID NOT DISCLOSE THAT TO ME, THIS IS EVIDENT AGAIN IN THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS ME WHEN I CALLED THEM UP TO TELL THEM IN THE FIRST INSTANCE THEY WEREN'T EVEN CONCERNED ABOUT THE FACT THAT I WAS NOW DRIVING A POTENTIAL DEATH TRAP. I HAVE ONE THING TO SAY NOW, YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY SOLICITORS AND YOU WILL BE SUED FOR MISREPRESENTATION AND UNDER THE SALE OF GOODS ACT 1984, I WILL PURSUE YOU FOR EVERY PENNY OF THE 12K I SPENT AND I WILL NOT GIVE UP UNTIL YOU PUT THIS RIGHT BUT OF COURSE I DON'T EXPECT YOU WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AS YOU CLEARLY COULDN'T GIVE A TOSS NOW YOU HAVE MY MONEY. BUYER BEWARE IN FACT BUY YOUR CAR FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE AND AVOID AFFORDABLE CARS YORK.

I have had my BMW for 2 weeks and at the moment am very pleased with it! Leon and his team were very professional and made the process of buying very smooth and easy. Whilst the experience has been excellent it is still early days! The key to any kind of service is how good the after sales is therefore I will reserve judgement and conduct another review in 6 months time!

Bought a vehicle from affordable cars on Colton Lane, I saved up for 2 years to be able to afford the car I wanted. The sales team tell you exacly what you want to hear and are very convincing. I paid cash for my BMW as I were told I'd get a deal if I did! The car had no lights on the dash and no knocks when I test drove it. I picked the car up 2 days later. I had only got home when the oil light and engine management light came on. I rang them as soon as they told me the deal had been done and they couldn't do nothing about this. I took the car back and was very rudely spoken to buy the manager called Tony I think it was?? I was told it was not there problem no more.. I then took the car to BMW and they checked it over and told me it needed over £2000 pounds of work. Turbo, brake pipes, clutch, exhaust had been put up together with some scrap metal??? The list went on. I seriously felt I had been ripped of. I looked into it further and was told all cars come from auction and get put straight on sale without being checked, I was told this shouldn't have past the MOT even though it had only just gone through. I would seriously never ever ever recommend this garage to anyone. And I do hope everyone sees this and thinks against it! If you want a car that is not roadworthy then go ahead but I do hope I have saved people from the bad experience I have had with these rude arrogant all for themselves people.

I Bought a BMW touring which is great, I had a little issue which was resolved immediately and without hesitation. the customer service I received was excellent both in the showroom and from the service department. Paul the head mechanic deserves a mention as he was outstanding and very efficient and kept me informed all the way, A big thank you, I would and will go back when I want to change my car.

very helpful and friendly staff, cars were priced very well so was worth the travel to find the car i wanted even though it was a touch choice due to the amount of cars on site , i was like a kid in a sweet shop lol Many Thanks again for all your help and patience
