I bought a BMW 118d from Affordable Cars York last year, paid £99.00 for warranty and had to have a whole new steering column through warranty after a month, I have now taken it to BMW for a MOT and service, they have found a oil leak and the whole exhaust is loose. I am looking at £1000+ to get it fixed, don't buy from them is my advice.

We bought a car from Affordable Cars York.When we picked it up the car mats were missing and they said they don't know were they had gone? Strange we were given £20 for new ones and then 2 weeks later the car was knocking and shaking in reverse and the back brake discs were cracked and rusty were took it back and all we got was its not under warranty it's part of wear and tear. Two weeks later after the V5 came we sold it to we buy any car because our garage said it would cost a lot of money to repair as he said he thought it was the clutch slipping and the brake discs we gone how can you get a car with a new MOT and SERVICE DONE when it's in this condition? It's beyond me disgraceful taking people's hard earned money. Don't buy. AND I DEFINITELY DONT THINK THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE GIVEN THE COMPANY 5* are genuine reviews.

I bought my BMW from Affordable cars and couldn't be happier! The team were great helping me make my decision and offered all of their support and knowledge. I would recommend to anyone reading this, if you want good service and peace of mind this is the place to go. I will be coming back in the future and will advise all friends and family to go to Affordable cars!

I bought my car from Affordable Cars York last year and have had no end of problems, it's cost me half of what I paid for the car and to add to that the sump has now got a hole in it from severe corrosion which is now going to cost me a further £600 on top of the £3000 already spent since early last year, the garage don't care less and quite frankly in my opinion based on what happened to me they are not fit to sell used cars. Avoid Affordable Cars York at all costs.

THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE CAR YOU JUST BOUGHT. I BOUGHT A PORSCHE AND I PAID TOP MONEY FOR IT, AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS MY CAR NEEDED A SMALL REPAIR, THE GARAGE WHICH IS A PORSCHE APPROVED BODY SHOP INFORMED ME THAT THE CAR I HAD BOUGHT FROM AFFORDABLE CARS OF TADCASTER YORK WAS IN A MAJOR AND SEVERE ACCIDENT AND HAD BEEN REPAIRED TO A POOR STANDARD. I CONTACTED AFFORDABLE CARS AS THEY CLEARLY STATED TO ME AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE THAT THE CAR HAD NO ACCIDENT DAMAGE WHATSOEVER, THEY CLEARLY LIED TO ME I CONTACTED THEM TO SEE WHAT THEY WOULD DO TO RECTIFY THIS ISSUE FOR ME THEY TOLD ME TO GO AWAY AND NOT TO BOTHER THEM AGAIN AFTER SPENDING 12K ON A CAR THAT WAS NOW WORTHLESS, I WASN'T IMPRESSED I WROTE THEM SEVERAL EMAILS AND SENT TWO INDEPENDENT REPORTS THAT CLEARLY STATED THAT THE CAR WASN'T FIT FOR PURPOSE. THEY DIDN'T EVEN RESPOND TO THE COMPLAINT. ESSENTIALLY COULDN'T GIVE A TOSS ABOUT THE FACT THEY HAD SOLD ME A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CAR, NOW THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND IM LEFT MASSIVELY OUT OF POCKET. NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS USED CAR DEALER, THEY ARE CLEARLY JUST AFTER YOUR MONEY, THAT IS THE END OF THE RELATIONSHIP, EVERY TIME I CALL THEM NOW THEY JUST PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME AND CLEARLY DONT CARE ABOUT THE FACT THAT IM LEFT WITH AN AWFUL CAR THAT IS DANGEROUS. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, IT MAY COST YOU MORE THAN MONEY TO DRIVE AN AFFORDABLE CAR FROM TADCASTER. BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY THEY COULDN'T GIVE A CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE CAR THEY SOLD YOU AS LONG AS THEY HAVE ALL YOUR MONEY. I HAVE ONE THING TO SAY NOW, YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY SOLICITORS AND YOU WILL BE SUED FOR MISREPRESENTATION AND UNDER THE SALE OF GOODS ACT 1984, I WILL PURSUE YOU FOR EVERY PENNY OF THE 12K I SPENT AND I WILL NOT GIVE UP UNTIL YOU PUT THIS RIGHT BUT OF COURSE I DON'T EXPECT YOU WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AS YOU CLEARLY COULDN'T GIVE A TOSS NOW YOU HAVE MY MONEY. I have had my BMW for 2 weeks and at the moment am very pleased with it! Leon and his team were very professional and made the process of buying very smooth and easy. Whilst the experience has been excellent it is still early days! The key to any kind of service is how good the after sales is therefore I will reserve judgement and conduct another review in 6 months time!
