My experience at Affordable Cars Prestige Car Supermarket could have been better because car was not prepared to agreed standard(deposit left whilst car in prep) and upon collection agreed points were not complete, attitude of some team was horrific (was told im too picky!!!) refused to put in writing that deposit would be returned(ended up purchasing in fear we wouldn’t get our 1k deposit back), car prep sheet states MOT complete but it wasn’t, car serviced but engine oil level just above minimum, front windscreen wiper broken, battery cover left off on top of engine cover, battery clearly had a fault upon sale (warranty paid for new battery), fail to return calls for after sales (referred to A1approved) always need to speak to someone that isn’t available but never call you back, car failed to go into gear on way home with a gearbox fault reported by car (seriously concerned if this happens again) no after sales from them apart from Richard who is a genuine guy, no V5 with car so had to fill in another form and still waiting 4 weeks later for V5! Hopefully we have nothing to do with them again.

Guys where fantastic from start to finish, Car fully stripped and excellent Condition quality and workmanship!
Be very careful if you buy a car from here. The first point to note, is that they will tell you that the car comes with a warranty. In reality, it doesn't, because the warranty is not worth the paper it's printed on. No matter what the problem, guaranteed they will claim its wear and tear. They have clever wording that even rules out all of the mechanical parts like clutch and gear box items. Not only that, but you will have to PROVE that there is a fault. Showing them the symptoms of the problem is not enough. You have to go to a local garage and pay all of the investigation costs, which will not be reimbursed, even if by some miracle, you did find something covered by this make-believe warranty. The item has to be physically broken, i.e. like a snapped clutch shaft or something that never actually happens, but if its already worn, like literally every piece of a car does, they will not pay out. It's a fake product with bulletproof small print. I was quoted investigatory costs of £300-400+. Secondly, you would, in theory, have to pay the mandatory excess fees (not really, because it would never get this far), and thirdly, you will have to pay anything over and above the 'claim limit'. I spent 5 months trying to get a problem fixed with the AUDI A3 I purchased from Affordable Cars, and in the end, after their incompetent service department (and I don't mean that offensively - they are admittedly mechanics, not competent in interiors and electronics). Eventually, when the problem became to difficult for them, they raised it to the director ‘Paul’. I wont post his surname just in-case it breaches the terms of this review, but it’s public information. Paul called me up, was abrupt, rude and offensive, and to be frank, full of it. Paul told me that if I wanted a car that didn't rattle (a sound like a stone rolling around an empty washing machine) every time I lifted my clutch up, I should have drove on past Affordable Cars and gone directly to the AUDI main dealership. He then told me that the sole, and only purpose of a car, is to get from A to B, and that because the car they sold me could achieve that, I should jog-on. So, there you have it... no point buying an 'A-tier' German car from Affordable Cars, just get a Fiat Punto from Joe Bloggs on Facebook marketplace, because its sole purpose is 'just' to get you from "A to B". Paul was arrogant. When I called him on it he started boasting about the fact he owns the dealership and has “money in the bank”. If you buy from here. DO NOT expect help when something goes wrong. YOU CAN LISTEN TO MY CALL WITH PAUL ON YT. The video is titled: -- "Should you buy a car from AFFORDABLE CARS PRESTIGE CAR SUPERMARKET in YORK? are they good?"— https://youtu.be/J9ZBL7HBJm8?si=v_Z4FEr90k2iZwGW I want to be as honest as possible about my experience so I will say that it seems like they have a couple of fairly genuine people working there. There was a bloke called Max who seemed fairly helpful. He jumped in and cut-off # before Andy could tell me to do-one when I first returned in person to Affordable Cars. I got this vibe from Andy a couple of times. He’ll butter you up to get the sale, but wont have time for you if you return. When I first called Affordable Cars to report the problem, the call with him lasted 7 seconds. He just blurted the aftersales email address down the phone to me at break-neck speed and basically told be to go bother them instead. Bob in the workshop seemed to do what he could for me, within the limits of his own competence and authority. As soon as a problem goes up the chain, however, you are eventually just going to get a call from Paul# telling you to ‘do-one’. Bloke is a # plain and simple. When I told him as much, he started 'pushing his chest out' so to speak, telling me I might say something I regret if I carry on. I'll no doubt end up getting a generic response from Affordable Cars on this review. Just remember this; what reason do I have to lie. I spent £15,500 on a car from them, a car I was extremely excited about getting. I was so excited, I didn't try to haggle, and I didn't test drive it first. I trusted that they were a showroom dealership, and would have my best interests in mind as a customer. Now I just have a £15,500 car that rattles when I drive it. Apparently not a fault worthy of repair because the car gets me from A to B. Paul also said if I didn't want to live with it, I should just "trade it in" lol. I'd only lose about 6 grand in value if I did that, so yeah, great solution mate. For context; I reported this problem to Affordable Cars 6 days after I purchased it. So it's not like I had it for four months and then went back to them. Save yourself the hassle, and the patronising phone call from Paul you will eventually get.
