Purchased a BMW X5 in February remotely. The first question I asked was whether it came with a national warranty as I live over 100 miles away, and was told it came with an AA warranty which could be used in any garage in the country. Within the last week I've received 2 penalty charges for when it was driven prior to delivery. It has recently developed a fault with the SOS call system (which is ok, these things happen). However, when I emailed them they told me to bring it to them (a 200 mile round trip). I then told them I hadn't received the AA warranty paperwork. When they didn't respond to this I phoned the AA who said that the car wasn't covered. I've just spoken to the company over the phone who have told me to write them an email saying that I have no claims against them in respect of the failure and they'll provide the warranty. So basically being held to ransom over the fault. I'm sure they'll respond saying I dropped the f bomb on them, which I did! Who wouldn't after being conned! I'm now left with a car with a fault and no warranty. Well done guys, you've proved why people should be sceptical about used car dealers.

I bought a volkswagen golf end of January, part exchange. (Fair value for my other car). The car is in great condition, just a small vibration when I started the engine . I contacted them and they answered straight away and fixed for me , even gave me courtesy car for 3 days . Engine, breaks ..etc everything in perfect order .I will recommend Agb Cars for a nice and safe car. thank you !

We bought a car back in January 2020, and it has only been til now until I have been able to comment due to our case being referred to the financial ombudsman - we have just had it confirmed that they have found in our favour and this company AGB cars and Moneybarn will finally be brought to justice. We bought our car in good faith, and after it broke down, on day one - the garage/dealership were very accomodating, they collected our car and returned it to us three days later. The car then broke down again and AGB failed to provide any paperwork of any work they carried out. They then wanted us to drive the car up and after we asked to 'return the car' as this was in our rights in the consumer protection acts, we were told that we couldn't. Things progessed until March 2020 when a towing company were dispatched from Moneybarn to collect our car - which wouldn't actually move or start - verified by the towing company. The car arrived at AGB and apparently, it worked fine! Since then our car has remained at their garage ( I am assuming) until the present time. Since then, I have gone through lockdown as a key worker - with no car - walking/jogging 6 miles there and back to work a day. We also had our third child, born in June, and had to use a taxi (through the height of COVID) to return my wife and child to our house. We have two additional children under 8. We still are without a vehicle and the situation - although now resolved - has been one of the most upsetting experiences of our lives. We wanted to share our experiences to hopefully allow others not to suffer the same fate. The garage has been a disgrace, and alongside Moneybarn, are finally being forced to do the right thing.

What car was it ?
bought a car from them 'remotely' as I couldn't go see it due to lockdowns. Sent a mechanic to check it out who informed them of an issue with the door lock. Before delivering the car to me 220 miles away, they told me they fixed it. Once the guy had driven off I realised it hadn't actually been fixed, and they'd left me with an expensive car that wouldn't lock! I have called and messaged many times to try and get this fixed, first they sent me the wrong part, and then they stopped answering. I'm now out of pocket £500 by having to get it fixed myself!

I'd advise people to steer well clear of this company. I bought a car from them at the end of October, under distance selling rules (the car was delivered to my home). It took me just over a week to realise that there were several faults and misrepresentations - including a fault which rendered the car illegal to drive, and which never should have passed their (in-house) MOT test. Under distance selling regs I had the total right to a refund (and for them to collect the car) within 14 days of delivery. Plus I had the right to a refund (+ collection of the car) under the Consumer Rights Act within 30 days, on account of the car not being fit for purpose. I've been pushed around by AGB, and even accused of trying to scam them!! So currently I'm about to have to issue court proceedings, together with initiating a recovery of my money via the credit card company. AGB have acted evasively and unprofessionally throughout. So please let this be a warning to anyone thinking of buying a used car from them.
