Really wish I could contact the owner ,Still owe me £2750 tried getting a refund via the bank, I couldn't supply enough documentation, so the bank closed the case so he still owes me £2750
Sarah in response to Refund
Feel your pain Gary although not as much. He still owes me £500 for a dodgy car July 2023. Luckily I got £500 back before he went “bust”. Don’t know how he is still getting away with it.
Anon in response to Aim scammers
Did you get your money back?
I've been waiting Iver a year for a refund on a car I was sold which broke down in the first month. Was lent a loan car which broke down. Turns out wasn't taxed so unable to use breakdown. The car I was lent was soon taken to the scrap yard as wasn't fit to be driven but was being lent out to people. Police were made aware as car broke down on a busy roundabout and I had to dump it. James wants happy they were informed but if someone had answered my many calls it could have been dealt with. Always busy. No answer to calls or texts. No one I'm the showroom. He has the car and my money. Wouldn't buy a pen off him Never mind a car

Dave Steele in response to Dodgy company
Had similar….guess I was lucky to get the car fixed. That said I know where he lives so he had one choice
Ann strike in response to Dodgy company
I'm in the same boat with the car my son brought from him. Dave Steele or anyone know his address? I need it for a CCJ I have out on him.
When you buy a car that alledgely has a new MOT, fully serviced and has a 3 month warranty you feel pretty safe in your purchase. Then the car starts with major mechanical failures within weeks. Breaks down. Cannot get hold of dealer. Wont call back. Service light on. Ring warranty company and finally told to proceed with repairs Spend £800 only to be told the warranty does not exist (CHECK INTERNET for more of these). James Blant still wont engage (always away!) Car breaks down again with more serious issues making MOT and service questionable. Car towed back to AIM 2 months ago...no repairs, no refund, no costs covered and NO CAR. Emails ignored, calls not returned, answer machine full (for.months) ...now in the process of legal action. AVOID AVOID AVOID....hoping RIP Off Britain also take on this story alongside multiple more like it on the internet!

Just recently brought a car from this garage, they seemed very nice and friendly. The car had just recently passed an MOT but on the day of picking up the car, driving down to Duxford the brakes failed, they have been ignoring my messages. I have reported the garage where the MOT was done to VOSA

Ms Karen Greville in response to Avid this garage
We are having major problems with this garage having bought a car 4 months ago. We are currently £1100 out of pocket on repairs due to multiple break downs and James is avoiding us. The warranty does not exist and the company said he never pays the bill so no warranty on any car!! I'm going to the press....want to join us?

Hiya. Did you have any joy in contacting anyone and claiming back?
I bought a Renault Megane from Aim cars on the 3rd April. The staff, especially James we’re fantastic and had kept me updated every step of the way as the car went for its MOT and had it ready for me to collect the next day and even helped me through the taxing and insurance process on collection. Thank you to everyone at AIM cars for helping to make the purchase so straight forward and stress free!
Long story short, I paid a deposit for a car, which they stated in their wesite "secures the car". Told them exactly what my plans were and they agreed. Agreed and confirmed with multiple people exactly when I was going to collect the car and how I was going to pay, but because I didn't repond to 1 text sent at an inconvenient time, when I went to collect the car they had sold it to someone else and were reluctant to give me my deposit back. The full story... I went here with my sister to buy her her first car, after seeing them on the AA website so I thought that they would be good. How wrong I was. The guy we spoke to seemed really nice, and we paid a £100 deposit (as per their website, £100 APPARENTLY secures the car) and when he asked how I was paying and when we could pick it up, I told him it would hopefully be the following weekend if I could make it, but it would most likely be the weekend after on the Sunday and paying in cash in full. He told me that was completely fine and that I could "leave it there as long as I liked". So we left thinking everything was good, but that's where the problems started. The car needed a couple of things fixing on it and they promised they'd let me know when they were done. They didn't. Then I spoke to the same guy on the phone the following Saturday and told him that I couldn't make it so it would be the weekend after like I forwarned him. He seemed a bit put off by this and offered to deliver it, but I was not in at the time so couldn't do that. He then agreed to hold it for another week and I confimed again that I would be paying in cash when we collect it. The next day, I got a call from someone else from Aim asking if I was still collecting the car that day. I told him exactly the same as the guy previously, that we had agreed I could pick it up the following weekend and that I would pay in cash upon collection. So that was now 2 people I had confirmed and agrewd plans with. Then on the monday I got a text whilst at work from yet another guy saying that he was happy to hold the car until the weekend, but also asking me if I coukd "settle the balance". Nothing else was mentioned. As I said, I was at work so I couldn't respond at the time and forgot about it after work. They made no other attempt to contact me so I just assumed the other 2 people had informed him of my plan. Saturday came and I arrived to find a surprised man at the desk. Turns out, that despite me agreeing to collect it that day with 2 people, they had decided to relist the car and sell it to someone else on the Tuesday. They did not warn me that that would happen if I didn't respond to a text and didn't even have the decency to let me know it had been sold. I guess they hoped that I'd just not turn up. Then to make it worse, when I asked for my deposit back, they apparently couldn't do it there and then but if I left my bank details, they would transfer it in the next couple of days. Several ignored messages and phone calls to them over 3 days and I was told that someone would have to come on Friday to collect it in cash. I have never been so disgusted with how I'd been treated before. Normally I understand mistakes but this was either carelessness and miscommunication, or someone else was interested in the car and a deal was made under the table, either way I would not reccommned these guys to anyone.
