Aim Cars promised pre-delivery work not done, and not told about advisories on MOT. In first 3 months -- problems from day one with ABS and brakes / clutch packed up / discovered ball joint failure item not replaced but MOT passed on re-test anyway - something fishy there / 3 month warranty doesn't seem to exist as no details provided when requested....and so on. Total amount - actual and quoted - over £1700 to date on a car that cost £2650. AIM refunded just over £200 in October and have completely ignored every communication I have sent since then.

Aim cars from Permanently closed - Aim Cars in response to Very poor after sales service
Sorry to hear this feedback. All of our vehicles are independently Mot and serviced. We sell between 50+60 cars per month, 95% of our customers drive away happy. All of our vehicles are supplied with a 3 month extendable warranty. In this case you carried out work at your own garage without our knowledge or consent. After discussion we paid for that work to be carried out. You was advised to bring the vehicle to us for repair in which you refused because we weren't prepared to cover hotel costs whilst the vehicle was with us. Regards
Brilliant experience with Aim Cars from start to finish. the sales man on day one could not have been more helpful, the deal without asking was new MOT service and we had noticed the tracking out on the front tyres. I was aloud to take the car on the day and booked in for the rest 4 days later, been back today to have service MOT and new tyres and they were brilliant. said to me any problems just let us know and we will sort it straight out. thank you aim cars just goes to show not all car dealers only care about money service is key to good business. highly recommended.
I just happened to come across Aim Cars online, and then after asking my family members about it a couple of them said they had bought cars from Aim Cars before and that they were good. The service was excellent and they even delivered the car to me. I had no issues what so ever and would definitely recommend them.

Aim Cars is a local garage to me so every time I drove past i would have a check to see if there was anything there for me. This dealership looks after its customers. There was a few issues 1 of which was in the first week but they got them all fixed for me. I would recommend them.

Brought this car for my daughter from Aim Cars, called in to see the car and take it for a test drive. The person showed me around the car and then left me to have a look on my own. Found a few little issues with the car anyway took it for a test drive and was pleasantly surprised how this little car drove. Brought my daughter over the next day so she could have a drive in the car. Got to say the guys at this garage was so obliging couldn't do enough for us. Anyway the mot was done in Jan/Feb last year and we brought the car in July of last year i asked them to put on another years mot and they did without any quibble any thing i ask them to do to the car they did it not question asked. I certainly would use this garage again. Very satisfied customer.

Purchased a vehicle and within a day already started to spot faults. Sent the vehicle back, and was given a courtesy car in the mean time. A week later he informed me that the vehicle could not be fixed but then tried selling me another which I had for a few days but said I could not afford it. I had asked for all of my belongings out of the car & stuff was missing once they had given me it back. I asked them for the remainder of my stuff and they said it was not in the car. So had obviously kept it. It then took over 2 weeks to receive my money back after countless times asking and numerous excuses from the man. When I finally did receive it, I wasn't sure if it was the full amount when asked the person for the invoice to be sure that it was the correct amount I am still waiting for this email to confirm! And probably won't see the remainder of the money if owed! Feeling very mugged off, hand over your money straight away and they take ages to give you your money back. Had to pay for the rental and petrol of their vehicle, so close to Christmas. I would strongly advise anyone else to not purchase from this garage especially if you want reliable service & a reliable car!!

I fully appreciate where you are coming from. I purchased a car which showed faults on my drive home. Car was taken back for repair three times, none sorted the problem. Was fobbed off for just over a month so car was out of full refund period (how convenient) got a discounted refund. Very, very unhappy customer who would never return or recommend this garage to anyone! Please be wary!!

I am currently waiting to know whether they can fix my car or not. Had a professional diagnosis done at Citroen which has cost £60 and one week later they are carrying out their own investigation. I’m coming up to 10 days with no car and an extremely considered this is going to drag out. How long did this sort, start to finish? Sorry you had to go through this. It’s so bad, they haven’t even got a courtesy car to give me. Can’t go to work and it’s two buses to get to mum who relied on me ! I’m holding out on a review depending on what happens next.
No complaints at all about Aim Cars. I purchased a BMW from them a few months back and I am very happy with it. It was in lovely condition and it drives really well, I have had no issues with it at all. The value for money is great and the dealer is a very nice man. I would very highly recommend.

Good service, not major issues and I would recommend them. Only issue is that the car needed a new battery which they said they would pay for at first but never saw the money. but overall they were okay.

Terrible experience purchased a Renault Grand Scenic Diesel looked perfect when we picked it up. Drove fine at first until got onto motorway. First a warning light came in saying check injectors, then the temperature shot right up and warning came on saying engine over heating so pulled over into service station. Green Flag came out and they inspected it and found sealant in radiator filler tank and they was a huge oil leak. They suspected that head gasket had gone and we had to wait for recovery wagon to take us home. We contacted dealer and told him what had happened and he told us to get it recovered back to our house in St Helens to get it fixed where he would foot the bill. After hours of waiting round recovery truck turned up and took us home. Following day got another recovery truck to take it to closest garage for them to have a look and straight away they could see major problems. Told them it had so called passed a MOT the day before we purchased it, they told me there's no way it could have passed a MOT. Had to leave car with them 2 days later went back they had found radiator filler was full off sealent to hid the problem and suspected head gasket had gone, they also found turbo had gone, water pump had gone, there was a major oil leak that had been leaking for some time and they did a emissions test and it failed straight away, and various other problems. They said there was no way the car could have passed a MOT the day before I had purchased it even though I had a MOT form saying there was no problems and it had passed a MOT. It total it would have cost it total £1800 to fix, and then there could be other problems so he advised me to get my money back as even if it was repaired there could be even worse issues in the future. In the mean time I had no car and had to hire one as need one for work, also my husband is disabled and can't get around and also have a autistic step son who doesn't like going on buses so had no choice but to pay to hire a car. Phoned the used car dealer who we got the car off and told him the problems and said we wanted our money back. The reply was he would only refund us when he got the car back and was upto us to get the car back to him. Breakdown cover doesn't cover getting a car back to where you purchase it from so had to find a recovery wagon to get it back and would cost me £250 which I didn't have , so had to lend it off family. The dealer said he would pay half towards the costs, which really he should have paid to recover the vechicle as he'd sold us a car that wasn't fit to drive. He also said he would pay £100 towards cost off hire car and £100 for inconvenience we have had. Have everything on text message as proof. I paid for wagon to take it back it got back on a Friday dinner time. I phoned up garage to ask for my refund and was told owner wasn't in and the person on the phone couldn't authorise refunds. Finally got hold of owner and he said he was away and couldn't get access to a computer to give me a refund and that I would have to wait till the Monday, so had to lend more money off family as needed to pay more for the extra days hire car by now I had paid over £140 on hire car, plus the £250 to get the car back dealer, the £600 and my old car. For a car that I'd only driven for 30 minutes. So Monday 8.30am checked my bank no money had gone in. So texted the garage owner (wanted to text so I had proof off everything the garage dealer had said to me). He told me he would do it straight away. Waited a while diner time still no money in the bank. So texted again he said he would do it now. So waited a while and checked my bank, what a surprise still nothing. Yet another text to car dealer he said he'd done it and money would be in my account on midnight (yet everyone else if you do a instant online money transfer it goes in bank straight away) so yet another day that I would have to pay for a hire car. Finally midnight came and the money was there so added everything up £990 (cash I paid & PX on my car) £250 recovery back to Sheffield £153 hire car costs £100 good will gesture he promised £25 diesel I'd put in car yet only driving it had done was on back of a wagon So in total £1518 But what a surprise I only got back £1200. £318 short for no fault off my own because I was sold a car that was unfit to drive in the first place. The scary part was the fact the car had so called passed a MOT the day before I bought it. Well am definitely going to stay well clear off used car dealers again
Have purchased 3 vehicles from James at Aim cars.I was very impressed with the attention trustworthy and sincere approach and service received. No fuss.no pressure.honest old school trust. Brilliant. Highly recommend Aim cars.
