I wish I'd trusted my gut and stayed away. Expensive lesson learnt I'm afraid. Sold a dodgy car ( they knew exactly what they were doing) they lied and tricked me. My bad. It's now back to public transport whilst I search for another car. The car I bought from them lasted 6 months. Just under 2k extra in mechanical repairs. What a waste of money. I could kick myself for not trusting my gut

Been holding off leaving a review for a while to see what the owners would do. Bought my merc from ainsdale prestige before Xmas, travelled from Milton Keynes to the showroom in Southport for the car, upon arriving the car had been left parked, dirty, on the road outside the forecourt, which I wasn’t expecting. Anyway, went inside to get the keys to have a look, upon collection dealt with Robert/Bob/Rob/Richard (his name seemed to keep changing) and to my surprise, only 1 key.. after being told before I came to collect that there was 2, which then led to discover the car didn’t have FSH as said, and that the car was not in the ‘immaculate condition’ promised. Looked around the car, numerous bumps and marks all around (nothing overly major, but not immaculate as they’d said) the wheels had been subject to an APPALLING refurb, sanding down al wonky (they were originally diamond cut) and then had just been painted over, there was also bumps on the car which had been touched up with tippex. The guy kept leaning into the car, while smoking to look for the nuts which were not there. After a while Mark (alleged owner) was on the phone, denied all the above claims about the keys, FSH, condition etc. In fairness, after about 30 mins going through everything on the phone, reduced a couple of hundred pounds off the price (not enough to cover cost of key, rear bumper respray which was needed etc etc) but I accepted as was the car I wanted and had traveled far for. The guy who I dealt with when collecting then agreed to post a new set of genuine merc locking wheel nuts out, and cover costs for floor matts and an inductor lens that was cracked. Wasn’t given any warranty docs when collected, they then took around 3 weeks to arrive. The lockers took over 6 weeks to arrive, and when they did were budget ones from eBay (and clearly used) but after this agreed to pay £50 to get a set I wanted (which was fair) but still never ever received any money for the matts or the indicator lens, I had tried to call the office numerous times since and my call won’t be answered and nor are my emails now. So it would point towards my details have been blocked. Wouldn’t bother buying from here.

Bought an Audi A3 for my son from Ainsdale Prestige, within 1 week turbo seized, rear wiper motor failed, cam belt and water pump needed changing, brake fluid needed replacing. They sold us a warranty for £100 who then refused to pay for Audi to do the work, they insisted the car was moved to another garage of their choosing, 3 weeks later when the car was reapaired they refused to pay half of that bill as well leaving me with a bill of almost £1000 for a car that had been used for 5 days then out of action for almost a month. No help in getting things sorted despite Rob telling us he had clout with the warranty company and we should contact him if any problems. As soon as he found out we had problems he stopped taking our calls, didn’t retune voicemails, text messages or emails, it’s as though he’d been abducted by aliens, so much for all his clout! I’m not sure the warranty they sell, you is legit either, the garage where the work was finally done was instructed by the “warranty company” to address the invoice to Ainsdale prestige rather than the warranty company, the bill was then paid over the phone with a credit card! Most warranty companies would pay by bank transfer. I suspect the extr they make you pay for a warranty is just another one of their scams. Also check out their Facebook page and google reviews, they sell write offs as legit !!!

I bought a van from ainsdale prestige automotive, they have lied to me from the start. It turned out it was a Cat D that they never told me about. They have lied to me saying they had. I have since heard from several people how they have conned them. Rob is due to appear in court at end of July for his lies. I hope they get what they deserve, absolutely disgusting service.
