Just managed to finally get a refund for being missold a vehicle bought from AK Pro drive. It took several emails, letters, phonecalls, a court hearing, law enforcement agents and a lot of patience to get my money back. My advice is to stay far away from this garage. The vehicle I bought was dangerous and clear attempts were made to conceal the true damage. If you have fallen into the same trap I did, there is always the legal route - perservere! Should you have missold a vehicle too, don't forget to report it with trading standards. What bothers me most is that not only could this vehicle endangered my life but potentially other road users too.

Mercy Medu in response to Dangerous! DON'T buy!
please can you provide me with their current business name, address and postcode? I am making an application for court hearing but there seems to be multiple addresses. My feedback is right below yours and i agree, they do not care for people's safety.
CS in response to Dangerous! DON'T buy!
Hi Mercy AK Pro have changed their registered address a few times and now I understand they are in liquidation and you will probably have to deal with their appointed practitioners. Have a look at the government website for up to date info: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/11614791/filing-history. I had 3 different address through the course of the legal claim:- Adelaide St, Halifax, HX1 4LY, 29 Bowman Place Halifax HX1 5PD and finally the law enforcement agent visited, Frontland Adelaide St, Halifax, HX1 4LY. During the last stages of the claim, I corresponded with their legal representative from Legal Solutions 4 u. Good Luck!
I bought a Nissan qashqai 2020 from this company. 6 days later everything started going terribly wrong. I took it to a garage and they picked numerous faults. I send the diagnostic video from the garage to AK Pro Drive. They told me they will pick the car up to fix it. It’s been 36 days now, they blocked my phone, when I call with a different phone number they will pick, as soon as they realise it’s me, they will hang up. I have now hired a lawyer to take up the case with them as my £13,000 is at stake. Please don’t make the same costly mistake like I do. I have contacted my bank which advised me to contact the police. I will do that too. They have now been served with a formal complaint letter. Now waiting for 14days before moving forward to next legal action. Formal Letter of Complaint: 2020 Nissan Qashqai 1.3 DIG-T Acenta Premium DCT Auto 5dr SUV Petrol AUTO. On 20Th of August 2021, I bought the above car from your company. On 26th of August 2021, [SIX] days after purchase, it developed a serious fault. These diagnostic faults, I have made you aware of throughs emails, text messages, telephone calls and videos. I have also forwarded the garage diagnostic check video showing all the listed faults to you. On the 6th of September, you said the car will be picked up to be fixed, since then no one has been in touch with me. My calls and emails and text messages are completely ignored. These are listed below: • Loud cracking noise related to other undiagnosed issues, • Non-original radio fitted and incorrectly configured • The condenser is bent and leaking, • Wiring harness not secured and wires exposed, • Bolt missing intercooler pipe unto fan housing, • Oil pump connector broken, • Front grill incorrect, • No camera, • Back left door handle pulled out along with the wiring • Right back door does not open • No gas in system, • Intercooler missing rubber mount and broken mount, • OSF wheel arch trim broken, • AC pump connector broken. • No spare key provided contrary to the advert listing specification • No user manual provided contrary to the advert listing specification • No tyre kit provided contrary to the advert listing specification. Section 9, 10 and 11 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 require you to supply goods of satisfactory quality, that are fit for purpose and which are as described. The problem described above shows there was an inherent defect in the car at the time of purchase. You are therefore in breach of contract. In these circumstances I am entitled to a repair or replacement. Please note that liability for substandard goods cannot be restricted or otherwise excluded, pursuant to s.31 of the Act, despite any terms and conditions to the contrary. To be clear, these rights act independently of any guarantee that may or may not have been provided in respect of the works. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remedies for breach of contract MUST be performed within a reasonable amount of time, without significant inconvenience to me, with you bearing all necessary costs. I have already sought legal advice from Which? Legal on this issue. I look forward to a satisfactory response within 14 days in response to this claim for a repair/replacement.

Hi just to give you heads up they have change the name to The Halifax Car Centre check them on autotrader same site same cars and same people so write a letter to Halifax car centre same address same premises
Don’t waste your time or money. Having spent a lot of time researching vehicles, my husband and I saw a LO69 ZBC BMW 5-Series estate for sale with this “business”. We visited the “car show room” - basically a yard full of cars parked up. No posh show room as seen in the adverts. We were allowed to look around the car. Was allowed to have a test drive too. All seemed nice and fair. However the car was clearly being used by the staff for their own benefit. The car was listed with just over 20k mileage, but when we viewed it this had increased to just over 25k mileage. Agreed a price for part exchange for our car. Then into the scruffy office to sort some paperwork that had a strong smell of Cannabis in the air. We were asked for a deposit of £250.00. I said that was too high and “Ash” dropped it to £100.00. He agreed to have the car valeted and reset the engine management light. We requested an AA inspection to be completed. “Ash” said that was fine but also said we should go to an independent inspector as AA always say bad things. A week passed, paid for the inspection £182 including HPI checks, £80 on retention for number plate on our car, arranging our finance. AA inspection for attended and we received a 26 page report. We were recommended to stay clear of this vehicle. These are the bad parts of the report: A diagnostic check was carried out on this vehicle and multiple diagnostic fault-codes were present; please see imagery for fault-codes and descriptions. No road-test drive undertaken due to ‘Red’ items. Sub-frame at front – impact damaged (dangerous). No run-flat tyres on front. Nearside-rear wheel stud missing (dangerous). Nearside-front wheel stud loose (dangerous). Coolant below minimum. Turbo – intercooler damaged. Inverter coolant level below minimum. Tool/puncture/emergency kit – no pump. TOTAL LOSS CARS ---- Please note vehicle has been a total loss and repairs completed may be hiding issue which cannot be identified in the scope of this inspection, caution is advised, we cannot guarantee previous work completed. This vehicle is a Category ‘N’ – body and paint repairs; some repairs not completed as some damage to trims still noted. The AA inspector could not test drive the vehicle because of the dangerous faults on the tyres. This is just part of the report. So we decided not to pursue with buying the car. I spoke with ‘Ash’ who said the inspector was ‘bulls**ting’ about the car. He said there was nothing wrong with the car and could sell it with no problem. I asked for my deposit back, ‘Ash’ said not it was non refundable. I explained that due to his information about the car it reassured us to place a deposit down in good faith. He then blamed us for wasting his time getting it valeted! His attitude on the phone was rude and unprofessional. Please do not buy a vehicle from these people. In my opinion they are not a professional business and selling dangerous vehicles to unsuspecting buyers. At least we had an inspection carried out to save us a lot of trouble and loss of money. In my opinion they are aware of the poor quality of vehicles hence they take a non refundable deposit just to make a bit of case. If the deal looks too good to be true…. It probably is.

Great communication with these! Kept me updated about everything and answered all questions needed. Wanted extra pictures of the Honda Civic I bought and wasn't too much trouble! Car body work was exactly how explained and very clean with no visible digs or scratches as described! A very quick delivery down to Cornwall for me 😊

From my initial contact with AK PRO DRIVE to the arrival of the vehicle at my home there was excellent communication between us. Any question I had were handled promptly and thoroughly. The Part exchange price offered to me was very good and this enabled me to complete the purchase without a lot of silly haggling. They offered free delivery ,saving me a 500mile round trip! I was very surprised when they told me the car would be with me the next day! Their customer service has been excellent thoughout and based on my experience as a buyer I would highly recommend them to anyone who asked me. This has been best car purchase experience I have ever had
