I picked up a new KIA this am only to discover that my insurers could not continue cover as the car did not exist. Charlie Richmond spent time assisting me with finding a company to cover me and register the new vehicle on the DVLA system.. His kindness and patience in helping me was invaluable. He also explained the car features, loaded the mobile details and differences from my old KIA. .He is very knowledgeable of the vehicle, all questions were answered easily. . Charlie should be commended for his perseverance and kindness in what was a frustrating situation, He ensured all was completed to allow me to leave the saleroom insured.

I took my vehicle here for a diagnostic and repair. Dropped it off on the Monday and by Thursday they still hadn't looked at it, on Friday they said they needed to strip the engine down and that the diagnostic fee was going to increase from £120 to £480. They said it was looking like it might need a new engine so it could take a few weeks. After a bit of back and forth with them because they couldn't get their story to line up as to whether or not the vehicle had even been looked at, I phoned my warranty company for advice and they told me to take it to another Peugeot dealer and to avoid Allingtons. I took my vehicle to another main dealer and they had it diagnosed and repaired within 3 hours of me dropping off the vehicle (it was a leaking AdBlue injector). The staff at Allingtons also have a seriously rude and poor attitude.

If you have a service plan with KIA Allington make sure before you take your car for a service that your plan will cover the bill. The last service I had cost me roughly £400 that I was not expecting. I had paid into my service plan for the last 10 months and expected the service to be already paid. I was not told that there would be a charge so was really unhappy to be told i had to pay for the service. When I challenged why I hadn’t been told there would be a charge I was told that I had been informed when I brought the car in! As I knew this was not the case I asked for the CCTV footage of the conversation but guess what, it had already been deleted….SHOCK! I believe I am not the only person to have been tricked into believing a service has already been paid for it would be interesting to hear from others that have been had by Allington Kia. I really liked my KIA but I would not probably not buy KIA again because of this experience. Allington damaging the brand should be taken seriously by KIA but they were not interested in getting involved in this dispute. So, remember when you deal with Allington KIA you are not being protected by KIA in disputes with the dealer, its between you and Allington.

john dunn from Allingtons Kia in response to Bad experience and beware!
After sales Manager Allington’s. I have always found there are two sides to every complaint and would like to take the opportunity to correct and fill in the information that has been omitted from this review and the two month long slanderous attach on Allington’s and allow the readers of this review to make their own decision on the accuracy of the comments. Service Plan ;- When you took the service plan was taken out back in April 2018 this was for a 5 service’s based on 10,000 miles per year with three Mot’s. This plan was based on 59 monthly payments due to the additional mileage which was covered, the 5th service of the plan was completed on the 30/5/22 at month 49 or 10 payments before the full plan funds had been paid. As you were a good customer it was agreed at the time to allow your plan to run to it entirety on the monthly payment plan [given you credit] last payment date being 1/3/23. All the dates and mileages of the services can be corradiated in the vehicle service book Service booking / work completed ;- Your vehicle was booked in for a 6th service with a courtesy car booked on the 15/5/23 costs given £397.15 and entered on the Job card work instructions. You arrived the work which had been requested was explained the cost was discussed, you read / agreed this and by signing and dating the repair order, below the clearly printed and costed work instructions you authorised the requested 6th year service , the courtesy car however was not utilised by yourself. After the service was completed and the bill assembled you were notified my staff noticed that your expired service plan also included 3 Mot’s had not been used [which had been carried out elsewhere], so the account balance was +£90 which was deducted from your 6th year service bill 15/5/23 resulting in the final bill of £307.15. A full explanation and all the above information copy service plan contracts / signed job card etc was sent to the yourself 19th of May. I would have posted this information for your reference again, but due company policy and GDPR regulations this is not possible. In closing I hope that this will give all readers both sides and allow them to generate a more informed opinion of Allington’s. Yours sincerely John Dunn
In September of 2022 , I took the opportunity to finance a car on the gov UK notability scheme. I wish now I had never done this using this dealership, I have been terribly updated on the arrival date of my new car and have been trying to find out the date of its delivery to the dealership which was initially March of 2023. My car did arrive on this said Month, but because I missed the telephone call of which I have no call record of , allingtons proceeded to give my car to another customer, I have been left feeling so low and feel worthless and very saddened by this treatment. I worked for 33years in heavy industry which has took its toll on my body and mind. I urge anyone using this dealership to please be careful as I'd hate the thought of another customer going through this , just because of someone not being able to be bothered to make a second phone call to their customers, also I was not the primary number to call , my family who are also my carers, were the primary number of contact as my memory is failing . Please be careful anyone using this dealership.

Horrendous service. Lied to and would never go back. Even when complained to Owner who said would look into complaint he still has not replied 2 weeks later.
Allingtons Kia were first class, absolutely nothing could have gone better. The Kia warranty is brilliant and the car is like new. I've tried to get a few mates looking for a car to give them a go and I recommend them to anybody reading this review.
