Was really quick and easy to set up and purchase Bought car in May 2024 noticed performance issue 2 days after purchase car refused to engage when pressing accelerator phoned and booked it in was told the software needed updating and they didn’t have the relevant software but would call me when they had 4 weeks later I called to find out they had the software and booked me in thought really great service that where it ends took car in on a Thursday was told would only be 1hr 6 hours later still sat in waiting room waiting . Mechanic came out and said I’m really sorry I need to do some investigation and I’ll get a car and get you on your way and will call Friday I guess they never said which Friday after week passed I called to be told they had no idea and was still trying to resolve the issue fast forward 8 weeks get a call from my finance company telling me the car is ready and will be with me that week I called the mechanic who said there must be some cross wires and Micheal had got it wrong as my car is still in bits in his garage . He promised he would get Micheal or Trevor to call me which never happened waited a week before calling back to be told they are still looking into the issues and they have ruled a few things out and making head way. Week 10 get call to say car is coming back on Monday thought great can’t wait delivery driver drops car off at 8.30am said car was a pleasure to drive and a really lovely drive excited to get it back I headed off to work to hear the most horrendous whining sound coming from the rest of the car how they never heard it is beyond me. So I phoned and spoke to Trevor who question what I was saying as he quoted he drove the car himself and it was perfect .when I explained the noise he suggested it sounded like the bearing may have gone and they would need to book it in as you can imagine I’m now thinking how long would it be before I get it back and as I’ve had the car only 3 months I’ve now lost complete confidence in the car and the company which is a real shame as I love the car but the stress this purchase has caused on my family life and work life has been horrendous so it looks like the best option is to refuse a 2nd repair and have the finance company reject the car.

We had excellent service with Trevor and all the staff at Alpha Cars outstanding service in every way

Bought a Hyundai Tucson in March and purchased extended 12 month warranty. Reported steering issues to Alpha Cars and requested copy of warranty, as booked into Hyundai Main Dealer for diagnostics. No warranty had been processed at the time of purchase so any work to resolve steering issues not covered. New steering rack required at a cost of £3k with main dealer. Alpha cars undertake the work with reconditioned part. (Been told that this job should only be done by main dealer). Fault still remains and evident when driven by independent vehicle technicians and now radio silence from Alpha Cars. Taken legal advice and looks like court action is on the cards to either have main dealer repair costs covered by Alpha Cars or the option to return car as per Consumer Rights legislation. Reporting to Trading Standards and AA Standards.
