Bought car from these crooks which went into fault mode on way home, contacted them right away and many times after but they never returned calls. I booked it into local garage and there are a whole list of issues that urgently needed fixed and when I spoke to them about it they asked me to get quotes etc just delaying things The address provided was false and therefore letters I sent and small claims court letter cannot be delivered. Still looking at ways to get some money back from them - any ideas welcome, except the guy who keeps peddling the 'my mate is a solicitor and will only charge £xxx'.

Steve in response to DO NOT TRUST

I have recently had dealings with the new Platinum Motors and they have kept up their business model of selling junk and then being non-contactable in a formal way. Did you have any luck pursuing them for compensation or repairs ?

It’s lie never someone had a good experience with them and it can be proved through their sales and clients anyway. IVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY THEM. YOU ALL NEEDS GUYS TO SEND ME YOUR EMAIL by PRIVATE MESSAGE THEN WILL MEET UP ANYWHERE AND DISCUSS THE SERIOUS OPPORTUNITY TO SEIZE THE COURT OF HUMAN RIGHT (I WILL ALL HELP YOU GUYS SO BOT WORRIES YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK ENGLAND IS THE COUNTRY OF LAW ) IN IN ORDER TO GET OUR MONEY BACK AND TO MAKE A END TO THIS DANGEROUS AND CRIMINAL ORGANISATION. WE (SOME LAWYERS AND EXPERTS) HAVE GOT SEVERAL CLUES AGAINST THEM. PLEASE SEND ALL YOUR MESSAGE TO MY PRIVATE EMAIL AS SOON AS YOU CAN. (There is no prescription period to claim your money anyway and the police are aware about this criminal family in Birmingham and the trading standards council too .

Please do not trust this dealer. If you look closely at their website all cars are photoshopped to look like they are at the dealer's garage.. I purchased a 3series BMW 09reg for 3600 on 31st May. It was delivered by a guy claiming to be called 2 different names, Red flags. Warning lights were coming up alternatively, I asked and he said there was no issue at all. I am not at all knowledgeable about cars you see....The car does not start straight away and they showed me some manoeuvres to start it, said it was a verified security measure that was installed so the car does not get easily stolen since apparently BMWs get stolen very often. Up to that point I had not driven the vehicle as he claimed to be in a hurry and had to go to an address in IG8 to collect another car. In the evening I spoke to him about the faults and he still reassured me that the car was fully and thoroughly serviced and there were no faults at all. In the morning of 1st June 2018 I decided to call my garage for inspection. It turned out there were 15 faults, of which 3 are major faults which needed to be repaired immediately for a minimum £400. their supposed verified security for the car not to be stolen is in fact a gearbox issue confirmed by the garage. I sent them a diagnostic of that specific issue and they offered to only pay half of the work. As my garage was extremely busy they offered me to collect the car for a deeper inspection of the warning lights as the repair offered only related to the gearbox and all the lights Ambassador said were fine would also need to be inspected and the car should not be driven as is according to the drver's manual and my mechanic. My garage however said that the engine is bust and would need replacing. These guys have then become rude and were talking to me as if I was stupid (which I feel to be honest). I now sent them a letter and email requesting full refund under The Consumer Rights Act 2015 which requires dealers to supply goods of satisfactory quality. However, the vehicle is clearly unroadworthy therefore in breach of contract. I contacted trading Standards, and will go to small claims court if they do not reimburse me promptly. I am contacting all organisations I can find online that can help so that these guys do not get away with it

Honestly I would give them 0 star if I could. Like some of the other reviewers have said- I bought a 2014 Audi A1 from these guys for about 9000 pounds, and honestly should have trusted my gut instinct to stay away. I was told by various independent garages after close inspections of the car that I was ripped off badly. I am not going to go into detail about all the endless lies Ambassador Automobiles have told, but some of the bigger issues were: 1. Car had completely messed up wheel bearings (according to Kwik Fit, it was the worst one they've ever seen). It made a very audible growling noise while driving, but the dealer and their mechanic friends denied hearing anything. After countless journey back and forth between Leamington and Birmingham plus written proof from Kwik Fit, they finally reluctantly agreed to change the wheel bearings. 2. Brakes are very rusty and making a grinding noise, so I took it to an independent garage to get it checked. They found, by chance, a loose hub nut (probably because the dealer's mechanics did a half job with everything). Basically I've been driving a car with a wheel that could have come off at any point for the past three months. 3. They use USED parts for everything, as cheap as they can get. These cars may look good on the outside, but don't be fooled, because they will break apart soon after you buy it. These were just 3 out of probably 10 issues I've had with them. Please, please don't make the same mistake I did. Do yourself a favour and find a trustworthy dealer.

I recently did a 120 mile journey to view a 318d m sport which the seller described as in immaculate condition throughout.I got there to view a pile of s**t with leaking injectors, all the warning lights lightning up the dashboard like a Christmas tree.Avoid this trader as he sells unroadworthy and cars with major faults that’ll cost more than the cars original value to sort out.

I had been looking for a Range Rover for a while now and was just not finding the perfect one for me, however I came across Ambassdor Automobiles website and they had about 15-20 range rovers available. I decided to pop over one weekend and I was not disappointed! I wanted to drive them all away if I could. However after a lengthy discussion with one of the sales guy there and a test drive I knew exactly which one I wanted. They helped me with the MOT, pre service and even my insurance! Top salesman in there, made my purchase smooth as possible. My son has his driving test next month (fingers crossed all goes well), we will definitely be visiting ambassador again for his first car, (did see a couple of nice corsas there). Definitely worth a visit.

Sold a car by Ambassador Automobiles that was not fit for purpose. Within a month of driving it was undrivable. Contacted previous owner who confirmed a few issues were present when he sold it. Obviously not rectified. Bought car back but for 4k less. So lost out on a considerable amount of money. Trying to rectify the issue was anything but smooth. Trading standards, consumer rights and AA were all involved. Was told if I take it to court Ambassador's legal team would 150% win! I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole ! Or trust any of their salesmen. What an absolute fiasco. Even at the very end they tried to rip me off and not pay me the agreed amount. Coming up with ludadris excuses. I'd stay well clear of this garage !!

Hi, Who advised you that ambassador would 150% win. I to am in the same possition as you and trying to recover my old car from them that i used as a trade in.

Julie in response to Broken car

Hi, sorry just seen this ! Ambassador said that to me on the phone. It was honestly the worst few weeks/month of my life ! I couldn’t sleep, it was just complete worry. We ended up losing around 4/5k and even to the very end they tried to only pay me 5k for a car we had paid 11k cash for ! They eventually gave me 7.5k but still they’re absolute c*nts. The MOT’s are fake and they’re jeut complete crooks. They’ve owned previous companies at the same address that they just liquidise and set up a new one. I rang AA as they endorse them and they weren’t much use either. Trading standards contacted them so they should be aware of them

Arranged to view a car and left a deposit to hold, which we were told £500 and would only get back £200 if we didn't buy. Get there at arranged time, no car. Was told be there in 15 mins as was in secure lock up. Hour later another guy appears, gives me the same bullshit and says it would be another hour and half. I gave him 2 hours. We got there exactly 2 hours later as he's just arriving with it, where he put it straight through the car wash. Car was described as unmarked, not even a scratch. There was a dent in ns door, various chips and scratches, front spoiler had large cracks, holes where parking sensors were missing, all 4 wheels heavily kerbed. Car meant to be fully valeted, but seats and carpets were dirty, used sugar packets in console and obvious signs the car had been used by them like the rear seat belt undone while other ones still attached from the mot. Very short test drive offered. Warning lights on for tyre pressures, parking sensors and service overdue. Strong asbestos type smell which I put down to being thrashed before we saw it, but I'll come back to that. Oil dirty and half full, lots if signs of neglected servicing. Daughter really wanted it so full price paid. Wanted cash payment, no receipt given. No mot handed over either. After a brief shopping trip when we found out the n/s door doesnt lock or unlock from the remote, we set off back to Somerset to find the o/s front and rear lights not working. I had a spare rear bulb so sorted that but headlight is hid, over £100 for a bulb. Stopped at services roughly an hour later and n/s front brake stinking and red hot, so siezed caliper. Doesn't look like MOT is worth the paper it's wrote on. Was told he three weeks before warranty paperwork delivered but doubt that will happen. This is my experience of them, your choice if you buy from them. If my daughter hadn't set her heart on this car and I wasn't in a position to put it right, I would have ran a mile.
