Came with my father who was looking to purchase a car in the next few weeks. We wandered around the dealership and loitering by the staff waiting for someone to help us and we're ignored for quite some time. My father suggested to leave as no one clearly wanted to help but I insisted as we were here we should stay for what we came for. I had to approach someone and complain that we had been waiting and ignored. Apologies were made and not long after an older gentleman came to speak to us. The agent seemed disinterested, was disrespectful and made no attempts to sell or show my father anything and it made him so uncomfortable. Some advice, joking to an older black gentleman "you won't steal a car if I let you do a test drive will you - ha ha ha" is unacceptable. The staff here need to work on their customer service and own biases and perhaps they would not lose business and waste customer's time

I had my car booked in to have my engine light diagnosed at 2pm and had to return home without carrying through with the check due to the behaviour of customer facing staff based at the Penge Garage. Not only was he rude, abrupt and offhandish, but fed me information which was contrary to what I was told over the phone. The least a customer is entitled to expect is a polite response. I would never recommend your garage to any of my friends and am considering what other steps I might take as I have had to take an entire afternoon off work.
Staff are always there to help you! I bought my car a couple of years ago, but I came back for service and Mot. I am very satisfied with their service!

I have been with Ancaster penge for over 16 years,they have always been excellent and brought a second hand car from them nearly a year a half ago,then the cluch went and took the car in to their garage, sadly steve Richie and a lot of the old staff have left and replaced with new staff, Inapprox Oct 21 it went in for MOT and was told that a part was wearing and would need to come in at some point to change it, I returned in February 22 as i had time off work to put car in,but they couldn't find what part it was and said the car was fine. March 22 the clutch goes and like the car it was down hill all the way,i put the car in on a monday,tuesday they give me a quote for over a thousand pounds but because i have a payment plan it came to nine hundred and nineteen pounds, after complaining about the price it then went to eight hundred and fifty pounds,i phoned them on Wednesday and the work was still not done and was told it won't be ready till monday as the part has not arrived, i told them not to bother I'll get the car taken to another garage for the fraction of the price and will be fixed quicker,then they call me at 3pm on Thursday to say the car is now being fixed then another call at 5pm to say its ready. I turn up on Friday and told them i have come to pick up the junk they have sold me and explain if i pay this i will not be able to pay my rent this month,no offer to pay in installments, so paid in full the bloke couldn't of cared less,he then said the mechanic was working on the car in to the evening to fix it,i said what time did he finish he replied 5.45pm,i said that's funny as i was told the car is ready to pick up at 5pm,he new he'd been caught out and didn't say a word. So if you want to be lied to ripped off and possibly homeless this is the place for you if your a nurse this is the place to come.
I like the supportive service they provide for me at the Nissan dealer in Penge.
Having been a customer at Ancaster Penge since 1995 I have never been disappointed with the service I have received from all staff. I recently took delivery of the new Nissan Juke. Alan Whent was looking after me an he really delivered a first class service from time of order keeping me informed every step of the way until delivery day. Then he went through everything I needed to know before I left the showroom. I was confident driving away. I have never been disappointed with the service I have received over the years. That’s why I go back. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ancaster Penge to friends or family.

The staff at Ancaster Penge were great but one Alan Whent was exceptionally professional, patient and made me feel relaxed when trying to get the best deal of a car within budget. Even after the purchase, he remained consistently helpful when I contacted him with very minor issue on the car. Very happy with the purchase and the Service rendered. Highly recommended.

the approach to customer service is reprehensible, I felt that I was discriminated against, maybe because my English is not perfect or because I look like a young man who has enough of a car. I had an appointment for the first MOT and replacement of the DPF pressure sensor at 11am which a few days earlier had been confirmed to me by phone. on site I was told that I had an appointment at 9 am and I am late, a second appointment has been arranged, it turns out that Nissan does not do MOT for class 7 and the van is taken to another garage and the issue of replacing the sensor was ignored
We travelled over an hour and a half to the Ancaster Penge branch as they had the car we were interested in. Unfortunately, but understandably, due to Covid restrictions we could not test drive but we’re able to look inside the car. We put a desposit on the car and they agreed a new MOT was to be issued and some other minor issues were to be sorted before it was delivered to us. We also opted for a 6 month warranted (I have asked for a copy of the warranty in an email and in a phone conversation but this request seems to be overlooked). There were some issue with emails not reaching me regarding my full payment for the vehicle despite me contacting them asking for the outstanding balance to pay. It was solved at the very last minute but it was very stressful as for 24 hours no one seemed to know where the large amount of money I had transferred to them was. In addition I became slightly concerned about competency as emails were poorly written and they referred to me as Sharon (not my name). When the driver did arrive with the car he was alone and had no way of getting back to the Penge branch (he also said he was scared of driving on motorways which I thought was an odd thing for a driver to say as surely this is part of the job). My partner had to drive him to the local train station (not particularly desirable in the current pandemic). On first driving the car we discovered that it would shake and judder when it hit 40miles an hour. On contacting the Penge branch I was told my only option was to drive the car back to them (considering I am in the late stages of pregnancy this wasn’t something I am able to do). I also felt that my concern wasn’t believed as I was repeatedly told that the MOT hadn’t picked it up and the driver hadn’t mentioned it. I have been told by Ancaster that I now have to pay to have the car fixed (I will not be reimbursed). I’m really disappointed that I put my trust in them and feel very let down. Unfortunately my experience with them means I would not recommend.
A gent man called Alan was so helpful. He was very easy to talk to professionally friendly. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions perfectly. I definitely recommend anybody looking to buy a car to Ancaster Penge. Thank you so much for your great service.
