Several reasons not to buy from this company. Having picked up my van 14 months ago I did not even make it back to Portsmouth before something on the van failed the electric window failed to work so they told me over the phone to claim off the warranty which I found bad as I had only just picked it up. 6 months later the flywheel and clutch went so they told me to drive there so they could check it on the way there 5th and 6th failed so more problems, they fitted a recon gearbox and before even leaving the front gate it would not go into 1st and 2nd they told me it needed new cables and they had only just found out even though I had to drive for a hour and a half to get it and they new that but could not be bothered to tell me there was more problem, having not had the van for a week I opted to get it done near me as I would have had to had to go back and come back to Anchor. Now 6 Months later driving around a bend I hear a massive bang and thought Id had a blow out, on looking under the van it looked like a drive shaft had gone because there was grease everywhere, after more expense of having it towed back and checking it the next day the gearbox mount nut has fallen off and the gearbox had fallen out, if the nut was done up correctly it would not have fallen out as I was doing 10 mph at the time damage was minimal. Do not buy a van from these people unless you live less than 5 miles away they have cost us about £2500 in repairs to a van that was bought so I would have a reliable van. Shocking customer service, fobbed off the customer, excuse after excuse, poor repairs, on this occasion a van that was dangerous to drive.

hello, I'm sorry, but this company makes a car business and makes fun of its customers. I bought a Peugeot boxer L3 year 2019, with the price of £16,850. I reserved it on the 17th of February, I paid the sum of £500 and was told that it would take 2 weeks to get it ready to take. On March 3rd, I paid it in full plus £250 for a 3-month warranty plus £499 + VAT for a 15-month warranty. On May 30, my van was repaired at Peugeot, the engine was repaired and I can't repair it because I am told that the engine repair is not covered by the warranty. Considering that it has a warranty from the Peugeot company, the 3 months warranty from them and another 15 months warranty also from them. It's been 2 months since I keep trying to talk to them to resolve it amicably, but they don't even answer the mail or the phone anymore. They are a company that does a lot of car thefts and make fun of their customers. I do not advise you to contact them for the purchase of a car because you will lose money and time which costs money. Since February, I've been paying insurance for the courier van plus the DVLA tax and I stay and work with the rented van because they can't even insure me that much. The rented van that I pay £1000 per month to live on. Between £350 insurance, £26 DVLA, £600 bank rate and £1000 a rented van, you will understand what it means. SO DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM THERE ARE SOME CAR DEALERS WHO DO NOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING THEY SAY

I recently bought a Citroen Relay with the 3 months warranty as standard, within a few thousand miles the brakes were grinding and the clutch was squealing when it was put in, I emailed Aaron with the issues and he told me that it’s a return to base warranty so I would have to bring it down abs they would fix it. I dropped the van off and they informed me that the brake discs had a lip on them so they shaved it off so this would resolve that issue but they couldn’t find any issue with the clutch or make the clutch make the noise I was reporting (I have provided video evidence of the clutch issue). I picked my van up, and nothing had changed with the van, the brakes were the same and the clutch continued to make the same noise, even though I was informed that they have taken to clutch out and inspected it with nothing wrong with it. I have been chasing them for an update to the issues for 2 weeks but I keep getting fobbed off, terrible service warranty not worth the £250.

I would steer clear of this company, Very amateur in there approach for a business of this size we were told 3 different things by 3 different sales people inc the manager & the 1st salesman (named in a review below) wasn’t a particular nice chap in his approach, Be warned, The forecourt advertised price isn’t the price you pay as you have to then pay for the care package which is basically having a service & half a tank of fuel & as the 1st salesman said it means if it blows up on your way home from Anchor it’s covered!!! I could go on, We’ve taken our business elsewhere

I’m afraid you won’t change my opinion of the way they operated, I don’t ruffle feathers, it’s not my nature or is it to generally write a review but I felt Impelled too due to the way we were treated, your obviously an existing customer & have a relationship with them, We didn’t & won’t be in the future, there’s a fair few reviews also that say pretty much the same as me, I’m actually quite local to them & a few people have since told me it’ was wise to steer clear
This is the third time it has been to our local garage in under three months, this time its the clutch that has gone and your sales man at Anchor Vans says is wear and tear, we have only done 1529 miles since purchase. cost to replace £1665.00 we can't see this is wear and tear due to us.
Had to give Anchor Vans one star so that I could write this review they are really a no star company. My son bought a VW Kaddy from this company, it was advertised as low mileage it has so far cost him £2000 in repairs it doesn’t run long enough for him to get rid of it. I is now back a the garage and he has been told it may cost £3500 to repair. Buyers beware of Anchor Vans.

Greg Joyce from Anchor Vans in response to Poor customer service from steve the sal
Hi Steven, I am very sorry the experience you had on our forecourt was so disappointing. We expect our staff to be professional, friendly and helpful at all times, clearly here we have fallen short. We continually work with our sales team to ensure high level of customer service and will put additional work into the areas this has fallen down on your visit. We have further invested in our infrastructure to try and ensure vehicles are more accessible for viewing, often with 600 vehicles on site, some become blocked in. I have commended the individual you identified with the ST, whom did give you good service, we appreciate this good feedback in the face of the bad experience you had. We would love the opportunity to look after you in the future, should we be lucky enough to be given a second chance. Kind Regards Greg Joyce, Director
All of the staff at Anchor vans were really knowledgeable and helpful! I purchased a Ford Transit back in January and up to now I have had no issues with it at all. It was lovely and clean and in great condition and a very reasonable price. I would happily recommend Anchor Vans to all of my friends and family.

Nothing bad to say about Anchor Vans! They were brilliant and the van is lovely and clean and just as described. I have had no issues at all and I want to buy another van from this dealership.
