I viewed a car at Auto Range Car Sales whilst I was in the area as I live 180 miles away. Over the next few days there was communication with Sean regarding warranties, any available reduction in price and general enquiries that one would make when considering purchasing a car. I viewed the car on a Saturday afternoon and I had to wait until Monday to get an insurance quote. I questioned the 6 month AA Warranty the car was advertised as coming with but was told it would cost an extra £150. They also advertise themselves as being an AA Approved Dealer but having checked with the AA they confirmed that they are NOT an approved dealer, they just sell their warranties. Having considered my options and being told they would include the AA Warranty if I paid full price I agreed and asked how much deposit was required to hold the car until I could travel down to collect it at the weekend. A figure was agreed and they asked for my phone number so that they could call me to take the credit card details. This was at 4pm. At 6pm I received a message telling me they'd sold the car to someone else. I spent considerable time researching the car, sorting Insurance, arranging child care, organising transport to go and collect all for nothing. At no time did they inform me there was another interested party. Absolutely appalling service from a clearly unscrupulous and untrustworthy dealer who tries to bamboozle potential customers with their false advertising regarding vehicles coming with an AA Warranty and being an approved AA Dealership.
