Offered me a 6 month warranty-wise warranty, spoke to them two working days later told it had not be set up and that they are putting an AA warranty on it. This was not what I agreed with them. They also took an extra £100 cash off me for reasons I am unsure of??? The car has a load of issues not stated in the advert only apparent now, then the trader requested I commit fraud by using the RAC to bring it to them to do a repair, well the car was supposed to be in excellent condition and it is not fortunately I took a screen shot of the original advert. Stay well clear.
Please do not use under any circumstances....dead friendly takes deposit off you cash only promises to rectify faults doesnt then threatens to sell car to someone else claims his business has stopped trading...nasty nasty guy.. ..i have had police involved...totally incompetent just wants your money then is out when you try and collect car that you have paid for....please read the similar reviews to mine and avoid at all costs....first thing he does is say ill sort all that just give deposit its refundable.....gives car dealers a bad name....ask trading standards how thick his file is.

This company is not to be trusted, told car had full service history, a lie. Engine light came on, reported it to Arena Motor Company, said he would get back to me, never did. Took it to main dealer who diagnosed fault, told seller never got back to me. Never serviced car, told me they had. Clutch went after two weeks, told seller who fobbed me off with tale of it has to be un drivable to be covered under warranty. Main dealer said car un drivable.then no reply to calls, left voicemails, sent texts...no communication.taking him to court.would not pick car up to return to him. Needed car, my lady has cancer, cost £1400.00 to fix.

Hi...did you or anyone else get any joy with court or trading standards? Email me mark_murray@live.co.uk I dont think theyve been taken over as im experiencing same problems as of may 2016
Do not buy a car off these. I purchased a car 2 days ago, plan to call trading standards take court action. I travelled 80 miles to purchase the car being told it had full service history, a service book was given to me, only when I got home I realised it was 2 years worth of history on a 2007 bmw. He lured us in to thinking he was a genuine man, told me about all his millions he's earned over the years, how big his house is and how he has a brand new top spec 30 grand bmw, told me he was a mechanic and that the car was all checked over and sound. I drive the car 80 miles home only to be coming off the motor way and the steering lock causing me to nearly crash the car, after my partner getting it home and booking it in with bmw specialists, we have a diagnostic report explaining it need 2500 pounds of work doing on it, and brand new clutch, flywheel, damper belt and bolt, power steering is gone, 500 pound to fix before car can be drive again, back tyres are illegal and break discs are completely corroded, the listed on, the total of the bill is £2400 that's money I sadly don't have, so I have a car that's to sit on my drive while I walk my children to school and get taxis to work. After calling them he refused to speak to me and the son answered who told me his dad was not available. I wish I had googled the company on Saturday and not today.

Avoid at all costs!! I was living overseas and trying to buy a car in Manchester. Initially, this seller was extremely friendly and I was lulled into a false sense of trust. I placed a deposit on a car from this dealership on the understanding that it would be refunded if the car was not as advertised when I viewed it. . When viewed, the car did not have a full service history as advertised and, as such, I decided not to proceed with the purchase. Over the last 5 months, this dealer has since avoided multiple phone calls and voice messages and, despite promises of transferring money back, never has. At this stage, they have started ignoring my calls or hanging up on me. I was silly and unfortunate enough to be taken in by them, please do not make the same mistake. I would not wish this dealer on my worst enemy.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. All very friendly to start with until they get your money and then they don't give a damn. They sell cars with full service history which it doesn't have. They don't even send the V5 documents off. When they say the car will get a full check up before you collect it please ignore this. All they do is take it off the forecourt to the car wash up the road and that's it. Stay away from these and go to a proper car dealer.
The reason I bought a car from this dealership is that they seemed entirely friendly, genuine and trustworthy as people. In fact they are the exact opposite. They would have been aware of serious faults in a car that they described as 'lovely', with 'no problems'. I don't think they should be able to get away with this - they are basically deceiving customers like myself in this case - so aim to take them to small claims court. It would be really good to hear from others on how they are getting on with that. Thanks.
darren in response to Avoid Arena
sorry to hear about your issues im in the middle of taking action im pretty sure it will escalate to a small claims court unless they settle people have consumer rights if i can help in anyway get in touch
Arena Motor Company are the worst kind of car dealer. We bought a car in a hurry due to desperate circumstances of having ours stolen and needing a car due to a disability and a small child. They seemed nice and friendly, and showed us the warranty the car came with , which was reassuring. The car started developing faults immediately, and once it went totally dead with an alternator issue we phoned the warranty company who were very apologetic but told us that it had never been registered, and that this was the second time someone had phoned them that week with Arena claiming they had registered a warranty, so this is obviously what they do habitually. When we phoned arena they were incredibly rude, told us that it wasn't their problem, we should just fix the car ourselves. We have a very difficult life with myself battling cancer and a small child to look after, and just can't face trying to pursue legal action, so these dispicable people just get away with it. PLEASE AVOID THEM.

I initially thought I was dealing with a good honest company but I have been left with a repair bill of over £1000 with much of it being work they promised was done pre-delivery. I have been lied to, decieved and taken advantage of. I am disabled and they knew how essential for my life it was to have a reliable car but I have been sold a car with faults that could have killed me or other road users. They also knew I use my car to take my 5 year old son to school and to get to my 93 year old dads house daily as his carer and they played on this to convince me it was the right car for me. I am pursuing this through trading standards and the small claims court and I hope this message can save any other car buyers from becoming a victim. I also paid Arena Motor Company for a warranty that turns out doesn't exist.

Hi, I'm so sorry to read your review, having had a very similar experience (and also similar essential need for a car). I wonder if you've got anywhere with the court process? We also suffered the warranty problem - surely this is a criminal offence? I would be very interested to hear how you get on, and if you need corroboration then very happy to provide it. My email address is available on request, please can you contact this website who will pass this on to you.
I wouldn't even buy a tyre from here let alone a car! When i collected car it hadn't even been cleaned or serviced as agreed. Had car half hour when something broke, I paid them to fit timing belt which was fitted wrong parts missing, then heater broke had take somewhere else even though under warranty. Completely poor service thought I was buying a car from someone genuine but being left going trading standards
