Been buying cars from the Arnold Clark Motor Store on South Street for years. In fact. I`ve changed my car 5 times in the last five years.. I bought a 23 registration Vauxhall Mokka in Grey with the red body inset, and black and silver wheels with red detailing, in June last year. Come February, I decided the car looked a bit boring. Not only did it look boring, it was boring to drive. So last Tuesday I went in to the Motor Store to have a look at what was available. I decided I would have a look on the forecourt first, then check out what they had indoors.. I must have been out on the forecourt all of two minutes, when I saw the car. You couldn`t miss it. It is really distinctive, and I thought to myself........Now that is what I want my car to look like! Right down to the colour.of it. I went inside and saw Robert (Mitchell) Robert dealt with my dad when he was looking to change his car. When my dad died we had a Volkswagen Golf, bought from Arnold Clark about 4 months before my dad`s death. Dad was elderly, so I did most of the driving. I just couldn`t get used to him not being in the passenger seat.. I decided the Golf had to go.. I went down to the Motor Store, and Robert came up to say hello, Then he asked. "Where is he?" I told him he had died, and I wanted to change the car because I couldn`t get used to him not being in the passenger seat. He got me a coffee, then we sat down and had a chat Then he took me upstairs to see a Renault Captur..Handed me the key and told me to have a look at it, and he left. me to it. So I traded in the Golf for the Renault Captur.. And Robert ensured I got a good deal. I won`t tell you the entire registration of the Captur, but the last three letters were UOK. It`s not just Robert I`ve dealt with at the Motor Store, Ive dealt with other "Product Consultants" as I believe they are called,.too. They are a really nice,, friendly bunch of people.. I think they are used to me now. I once reserved a car at four o`clock in the morning, and an alert went straight through to the manager`s phone, and woke him up. Twice I`ve bought a car, kept it a month. Then went back to the Motor Store and traded it in for something else.. Not because there was anything wrong with the cars. I just felt like a change. Have to say though, I think that I`ll be keeping the car I got on Tuesday for a while. I absolutely love it!.

AVOID THOSE ------------ don't even trust them specifically when they give you the welcome smile here you should know the RP START , there is no different between the stuff and manger all same covering each other thought when come to management will be different in dealing , but unfortunately the big virus spread from the head. and this review just preparing , will follow it up with more details and on Facebook with images some videos and voice recordings. After having car for not less the. 3 months and charging me over £700 just and have in 3 months still gassing and don't know what is the fault , just guessing (We thinking , we believe maybe , ....) all this time they don't know what is the fault and can't sort it . £700 and they tell you come take your car as it is or extra hours which is means extra £----to £-----? And same not we can say what the problem and can't fix it I still have to pay and take it as it is . ANYBODY CAN BELIEVE THEY CALL THEMSELVES SPECIALIST IN THIS CAR AND THEY ARE THE ELECTRIC CENTER THE HAVE THE VEHICLE OVER 3 MONTHS NOT ABLE TO AORT IT OR FINALISED THE ISSUE??? MMORE OVER ONE OF THE SMART STUFF HE TOLD ME IRL TOLD YOU FROM BEGINNING DO IT THROUGH INSURANCE !?!? (After paying £700 and waiting 3 months). MAX THEY ARE SPECIALIST IN CHANGING OIL . after all waiting nearly 6 months i have to collect it to take it direct to dealer when the recovery collect was all damage from inside have look at the picture how I handed and how they give it back . So seen a car we liked online drove to this showroom to see the car looked for a good half hour but couldn’t find it and the sales people didn’t seem interested in helping all to busy talking among themselves then when we approached then they told us the car was at a different branch and they think it was sold but have emailed said branch and will call me when they get back to them (not sure why you wouldn’t just lift the phone and call ) anyway surprise surprise no phone call I’m guessing someone made a mistake when pricing the car and this was noticed when I enquired about it but just tell me that instead of lies I have been a customer at Arnold clark for years and bought so many cars at their Hamilton road branches the sales people know us but this has to be the worst branch ever no one offers to help and then just lie to you when they do deal with you and the guy could’ve had the sale of a car had he just been honest I’m also assuming the managers have the same attitude as they were strolling about laughing too

I phone to book my car for MOT and Service. I paid for a 3 years service plan nearly a year ago. I was under the impression Arnold Clark will send me a reminder to bring my car for MOT but I received nothing. This meant my MOT expired without me realising. When I bought my previous car they put the MOT on the month of purchase. With my new car the MOT expired before the car was 12 months old with me as the current owner. Fast forwarding I called to book MOT and mentioned my service plan include getting courtesy car whilst they service my car, I was told there was no car available on that day. I didn't want to argue over the phone but thought I'd address this issue in person. On the day of the MOT I arrived with my 4 year old daughter. I was told to leave the keys and come collect the car before 5:30pm. Noone ever cared to ask if I was OK to spend the day without a car considering I had a 4 year old. I tried to walk out of the place with daughter but only to realise we were in the middle of nowhere. I lived 3hrs away therefore was not familiar with this place. This was the closest Arnold Clark I could bring my car for service. I then returned back to argue why I had to struggle without my car when I was entitled to a courtesy car which I paid for through my service plan. Finally, I had to push to get a car which was manual. I was not happy to drive a manual car considering I have not driven a manual car for more than 10 years. The girls at the service desk had no customer service skills at all. When I asked to speak to the Manager I was told there was no Manager on duty. 24hrs later noone has been in touch with me to address my disappointment with their customer service. I felt unwelcome in this place and was so stressed. They obviously don't need my business. I surely won't be going back there nor recommend this place to anyone. Please note I had bought my BMW from Arnold Clark in England, Their customer service was excellent.

Visited south street Glasgow had seen car I really liked. Paid reservation fee and went in to see car. Noticed some scratches they agreed to fix all scratches and a couple of tiny dents. Went back in 2 days later expecting to complete the deal. They had done nothing,then my son-in-law noticed a puddle of water under the car. Salesman tried to say this was a result of them washing it but the rest of the car was dry it was obvious to my son-in-law that the car was leaking from somewhere inside.Was called this morning 10am to say the car is now in the workshop and he would call me in a couple of hours. Still waiting!! 5pm now. Will be looking elsewhere would never go back how can they give you an MOT when the car is leaking so badly. 😡😡 Wasting my time!!!

My son bought a Ford c max Arnold clark Aberdeen broke down 3 months ago they won't fix it his partner has cancer and he has 4 kids she can't get to hospital as they need a 6 seater it's terrible and theve cheek to raise money for charity joke only had it 4 months he can't afford to put it in big garage theve no compassion what's so ever

I bought a car from Arnold Clark in November 2020 along with £249 service package. I realised recently in April 2021 that I had never received the paperwork for the service package and enquired. I had to chase the branch, they didn’t return calls, then asked me to prove I had bought the service package by sending in proof, then never heard back from them, then asked for my money back and was told no, kept pestering them and eventually am expecting my money to be transferred back. Avoid avoid at all costs. They were not interested once they got the sale of the car. I had to chase them for second set of keys that they told me would be personally delivered to my house in a few days but after chasing them again, they were posted out a month later
