I have never dealt with a less competent company. They infuriate me more than words can say. After sales care, a joke. Brand new Jeep. No spare key, no key for locking wheel nuts, no tool kit. 12v cap missing. No one rings you, emails you or sorts your problems out. Service fool had to go on you tube to look at how to fit the tow bar. A week later I told them forget it and took else where. Waited a year for my spare key from new. When it arrived they had locked it in a box and couldn’t find key for box. Another wasted journey. Still no tool kit. Took Jeep in for warranty claim 3 months ago. Still not sorted. Emailed them 14 times. Responded once. They’re a joke of a dealership. No one as a clue about customer relations. Go to Stonacre and receive great service. Don’t deserve a single star

I went for a service check on my wife's Fiat 5oo dolcevita plus on the 2nd of January to the Leeds More store. I was very impressed by the following staff's ,knowledge, politeness, helpfulness and care. They pleasantly took me back to an age of superb customer care and attention. I would be buying an other vehicle from this store since I can rest assure that I will be looked after properly. I say thank you to The reception staff , Ms India, Ms An Marie, and Ms Elisa, I also thank Mr Adrian Scott in the garage and the service manager Mr Rob Cornwall. They were all absolutely brilliant . Your kind staff gave me the confidence and peace of mind, that I will be taken care off ,and that your dealership really looks after it's customers. I sincerely thank you as you are a breath of fresh air in this market. Kind regards Charlie Dib
We were looking to sell our car, went to see Andy at the Leeds store, great price, honest and no quibble on price, we were happy and it was a pleasure to do huskiness with him.

I had my annual service done here and the whole process was horrific. Staff dealing with services are rude. They initially tried to charge me £300+ for a service on a two year old car with 10k miles on the clock. I had my service here the year before costing me £180. I explained I wanted the basic option that would cover warranty (what I had done the year before) and that I didn’t want any additional extras. I was told that the £300+ option was the only option which would keep me in warranty. I explained I would run this past my Dad (much more knowledgable about cars than me) as this didn’t sit right with me. After coming back from a phone call they then went back on what they said and said they would do the £180 option (and ensured me this would keep me in warranty) - the person was only interested in upselling and had blatantly lied to me. After the service they “recommended” I get my brake pads changed - I’m no car expert but I’m quite confident that a 2 year old car with 10k miles on the clock has not ever needed its brake pads replacing so soon. I will be avoiding Arnold Clark in the future and I would wholeheartedly advise others to do the same if you want to avoid a stressful experience with untrustworthy and dishonest staff.

Naively believing that going with a dealer we had heard of would be safest, we paid 24k for a car for our daughter. We wanted something safe to carry our baby grandson safe. To ensure the car was kept in a safe condition we bought a three years service and mot plan. Six months later when the car was due it's mot we requested a service too. We were told that the car was 28000 miles overdue a service and an independent garage confirmed this was a safety issue as the car was "in a state". We contacted Arnold Clark Leeds who just shrugged it off with "you'll just have to take our word for it that it was done, anyway we can't service your car (Merc)". We asked for the FSH we were assured it had and they couldn't find it. Then we were told we had actually purchased a Clark plan not the upgraded service plan we had been told we were buying and have a receipt for. Two weeks later we are still arguing over whether they will get the car up to a safe standard. Sales people are never available when called and it usually takes several calls and constant hassling to get a return call. Disgusting service.
I purchased a 65 plate Vauxhall Adam in February 2022. It is now May and my car has had to be taken in 4 times due to problems despite Arnold Clark “checking their cars thoroughly before they are sold”. I was told that Arnold Clark are happy for my car to be taken into the garage but i’m not? Why should i constantly have to take my NEW car into the garage when I work meaning I have to pay for taxis to and from the office. It is extremely inconvenient. A few days ago my car also BROKE down and the battery was flat. They told me to bring it back into the garage meaning in less than 3 months my car would’ve been in for 5 different repairs. There is 0 communication in the store. You are passed about person to person and wait days for a call back… if you even get one. The people you speak to are nothing but patronising and seem completely unbothered about your experience and complaints. I was also given a courtesy car the first time it went in for repairs by someone in the team without legally being entitled to one due to my age and so was driving around completely oblivious to this. I only found out by the nearest branch to me, after requesting one during my second visit to the garage, that i should not have been driving a courtesy car and most definitely wasn’t insured. Absolutely shocking service. I am still awaiting a call back regarding the resolution of this situation.

After researching a range of car dealers I decided to purchase a car from Arnold Clark Chesterfield in April 2021. I made this decision based on reviews, notably the level of customer service provided on used cars. Unfortunately, my experience has been negative and riddled with issues which are still ongoing - so please think twice if you're looking to use Arnold Clark. I have contacted the General Manager directly prior to sharing this review, however no solution to the issues i've faced have been put forward so i feel it's only fair to share my experience so others don't end up in a similar situation. I'm self employed and use my vehicle for work in addition to supporting my young family on school runs, clubs etc. I now unfortunately find myself in a position where my car is not fit to be on the road and therefore both my work and home life are affected. Within 3 months of purchasing a 62 plate Focus I had a number of issues: * Flat battery - this was on the way to a client one morning, the vehicle had to be towed from the roadside resulting in a loss of earnings. * Steering wheel - the steering wheel had sharp metal which sliced my finger open. I called the branch and explained this, also sharing the picture, to put tape over it. * Seal on the door - this was loose and would just flap down and hang outside the door, having to tape to the inside to stop this from happening. I rang the branch and was told to speak to Ford. * Clutch - there was an issue with the clutch which required me to take the car back to branch again on a working day, resulting in a loss of earnings, not to mention the days it was kept in for, over a week with no car and to be told all your courtesy cars are not available. Each time I made contact I was passed from person to person, i can't say a high level of customer service was provided during any of my interactions however it's been a strange few years for everyone so passed it off as a blip. The nail in the coffin was a few months later when the car ran out of power whilst on the way to work. I managed to get towed to a Motorsave to be told I would need a brand-new engine, I was devastated as you can imagine! This is a vehicle I've had for 10 months and bought it with 52,000 on the clock - I have done 14,000 miles. I then called my closest branch to be told it's not their issue due to not having an extended warranty. I am now in a position where I'm unable to work and have no vehicle. So please read this and just be warned before parting with your hard-earned cash.
Just bought a car from Pav and he was very polite, recommend him highly!!
I bought my 2018 kia and ive had nothing but problems with it and arnold clark leeds are very poor at helping they just sell you a car without doing proper checks, when you try to call them you wait weeks for a call back if you even get one that is! Communication is terrible only way to sort things is going down in person which i dont have the time to be doing every week! All they care about is the commission. Ive never felt so pressured into buying something in my life. Sidenote Cal needs to turn his ego down a notch
