We purchased a new Renault Clio car from the Arnold Clark Preston branch last year. The salesman Jonathan gave us ‘the big sell’ to also take up the service option, including a number of committments about service pick-up and drop offs. In a moment of weakness we signed up! What do you know, 12 months later when we book the car in for a service the commitments all proved to be ‘fake news’. I have complained, and despite the sales manager Edward agreeing that we had been up-sold on a false promise he was unable to come up with a reasonable and acceptable solution. Stay away or at least be very careful when dealing with them!

I recently bought my Renault Clio from the Arnold Clark Riversway branch in Preston. The service I received from the staff, especially Jean Pritchard was outstanding!! Very helpful in finding me my perfect car! More than thankful for everything and couldn’t recommend them enough!

Never take your car to this branch of Arnold Clark Preston to sell , basically they wont pay you anything for it .........

I have bought several cars from various Arnold Clark branches over the years (all franchised main dealers) and I have had mostly positive experiences. Most branches are very slick and well run, and all are easy to buy from. But then there is dealership - Renault & Dacia in Preston. Dont get me wrong, this dealership looks great and the junior staff are great, all very helpful etc, its the management that lets it all down. I have found the management to be a bunch of clowns. From sales to service, to the top. Could use an another description, but a bunch of clowns is as good as any. This particular branch is the sort of place that can give an entire brand a bad name, not just Arnold Clark but Renault too. From what I have seen, the sales, service, and general management could benefit from learning some real management skills, and then getting some training in how to use them. Dont know what management training they have already received, if any, but I would recommend getting it somewhere other than the circus. Clowns let loose with expensive products plus others peoples hard earned cash.......... well lets just say its not so funny when you are the butt of the joke and paying for the privilege. There are lots of other Arnold Clark dealerships out there, and lots of other Renault dealerships too, but hey, if clowns and the circus are your thing then give them a go. Dont let me put you off, just dont come crying to me if the last laugh is on you, and paid for by you too.
