Bought my car in December 2022, it’s been in for 2 engines after saying it was in fabulous condition when I bought it. After a week of have the car the coolant tank had a crack which I didn’t know about and had to be taken to another garage of Arnold Clark to get fixed. A couple weeks later on my way to work which is about 10-15 miles I went to change the gear and soon realised that the gear box selector had gone. The AA came out and took it to another Arnold Clark garage which was fixed within a couple days. Drive the car for a couple months after this and as I was driving a warning light game on so I looked it up and it was to do with turbo lag. Called the AA again they said it will need to go into a garage. I got it booked in a month later to get the turbo sorted at seafield service centre next to fiat. That got fixed although it took a month to fix!! Me and my partner got a call to get to hospital to see his mother. As we were going to the hospital I noticed white smoke coming out the back of my car, I managed to pull over on the forth road bridge and opened the bonnet to find my water housing pipe had blew off, I was moved by transport Scotland and was seen to by the AA AGAIN!!! They did a quick fix on it and followed us to the hospital to make sure we got there. This happened a few times it had blow off after this. Then I was driving along the M9 and it had completely gone again and my coolant tank was bubbling like mad!! Called the AA ONCE AGAIN! The car had completely gone the car now wouldn’t even start! This was on the king’s coronation which took from 10pm to 8:30am for them to collect my car and drop it at my partners house for Arnold Clark seafield to pick it up! In the time of 2 months I didn’t have a car so it was a bus, taxi or getting insurance for my parents car to work. I called every couple of days for updates which took at leave 20-30 mins to get through to the service department. Everytime I was told still waiting on it coming in. This was just getting ridiculous at this point and my mental health took a massive dip. Got the car back and worked absolutely fine for a couple of months. Went for shopping and car had gone again engine was just blowing smoke out of it and bonnet was leaking smoke. I stopped and had to get people to help push the car to a safe place so I could ask the AA to see what’s going on. Was told by the AA that the head gasket could have gone, I was towed back to my partners house as it was easier than getting home on country roads. I got my car booked in to Arnold Clark Livingston in the middle of October 2023 this was after it sitting not working for 2 months. I had to pay for a courtesy car which was a ridiculous amount. I got my car back in the start of March 2024. Came back with lights on which I know what I need but it keeps coming up with new faults which could be cause it’s not ran for so long and could be needing with some work. I would strongly avoid seafield motorstore, I was completely treated badly and I have told my friends now to avoid at all costs. This has been a massive problem since day one!! I hate also have I have been treated by them!!! Please please please avoid at all costs!
I recently made a purchase for private hire from Arnold Clark's Seafield branch in Edinburgh on 14/01/2024, with Michael Hamilton as my product consultant. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory, primarily due to issues with the vehicle's roof. Upon routine maintenance, I discovered minor dents, scratches, and rust on the car's roof. These imperfections were not apparent during the initial inspection at the time of purchase, likely due to their location. It seems improbable that such significant deterioration could occur within less than two months. I strongly believe these issues were pre-existing, as it's unlikely rust could develop to this extent in such a short time. Prompt attention is necessary to prevent further damage that could compromise the roof's integrity. Despite my efforts to address these concerns with # Smith, the General Manager at the Seafield branch, I was met with unwillingness to listen and a refusal to schedule an inspection. This lack of responsiveness only deepened my dissatisfaction with the level of service. Considering the significant investment made just under two months ago, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Attached are photographs documenting the vehicle's condition for reference. Terrible service. Booked apointment for my car recall three weeks before for 8-9 morning. Call to service dept before arrive that Im gonna be few minutes after 9, and they say thats fine. I came 9.10 and they said that they have a system issue from early morning and they cant take any car for service. So ask them why they didint tell me that on phone when I called. She told me that they dont have a contact with reception desk, and never speak about that. Avoid, avoid, so nice when want sell a car, in other cases completely terrible.
Took Kia Sportage in for its booked in service, and after eventually finding where to actually go at the centre, it's not in the building with service department written outside, they took our car. Hours later a text from them said they had carried out a vehicle inspection, not sure why, can only assume it's to try and sell you something, asked to type in only my vehicle reg and surname to go to the inspection report, not hard, did this, guess what, didn't work. Waited almost an hour on there line when trying to call the service department, joke, only to be told the link want working, but they would send me another link😂🤣🤷♂️, I reminded them, it wasn't working, so they said they would get someone to call me. Still waiting. Maybe the clowns need the ringmasters permission to use the phone. Absolute joke. By the way this happened today and I'm still waiting on a call. Had to give 1 star because I can't go lower.

Finally goes in October get it back 5th November horn still isn't working brakes have apparently been done certainly don't feel like it and only resolution they have to the stalling is its stop start doing it (the car doesn't have stop start i checked with peugeot) anyhow they say they can't fit me back in until 24th November I go to the branch because 2nd car with issues not getting resolved I'm not happy. Sonny Signh (manager) said to hand back the keys if I'm not happy and don't want it so I did only to get a call the next day from Kevin Smith (another manager) saying I can't do that. Cars been with them since 10th November. Finance company were getting no where with Arnold clarks complaints department. FINALLY today only due to getting help from somewhere else they decide to pay of my remaining finance I've lost my £500 initial deposit I put down on my first car as instead of taking it back they put it through as a trade in i was under the impression they were taking it back due to faults. Also they won't pay back the money I've paid the finance company. So I'm out of pocket i have lost EVERY payment I made to both cars + my £500 deposit! Bunch of Del Boys knew exactly what they were doing! And I will be taking this a lot further. Just give me my money back AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Still waiting for someone in service to answer. Phone keeps ringing out and there is an intensely annoying tune which no-one in their right mind could listen to calmly for any length of time. Then there is the 'Our agents are all busy, Find what you want online'. All I want is a price and a booking for a job on my Yeti but I will have to try elsewhere. If they are this dreadful at answering the phone , who knows what the car care is like! Also watch the last question when reviewing!!!! My No responses disappear.

Took out an extended warranty, not worth the £500 when you can never get through to their service centre. Phone rings off the hook. Reception will take your details and no one EVER gets back to you ! Ended up having to get it fixed elsewhere. My partner also had his car in 3 times for the same fault over 2 months .
Absolutely appalling customer service, waiting nearly 7 months for the correct documents, constantly fobbed off and lied to, would not buy a car from this company ever again. They have now been reported to the Motor Ombudsman who will be investigating their conduct. You're better off sourcing your car from an alternative! DO NOT USE!
PLEASE AVOID the dealership in SEAT Edinburgh Seafield if you want a quality used vehicle or if you want good customer service. I purchased an Audi A3 2015 model with 57k on the clock for just under £14000 cash with the promise of 2 keys, yes I got 2 keys but only 1 was programmed to the car. After a struggle Arnold Clark decided they would reimburse me the £72 it cost to code the key at Audi Aberdeen. This is where the issues start, so I took the car to have the key coded at Audi Aberdeen who carried out a free mechanical inspection, an hour later I was given the bombshell news the car was not roadworthy!! The 2 rear coil springs had snapped, the whole braking system was faulty, the exhaust system was faulty and there was a split in 1 of the tyre's. Audi provided me a full inspection report and video of the technician at Audi pointing out the faults. Trying to get hold of anybody at the dealership was near impossible and when I did they advised me the 60 day warranty they supplied me did not cover the faults on the car. Absolutely appalling 'customer service'
