Purchased a car earlier this year. Nothing but issues since i got home. Issue 1- Needed a new sensor, as i had this checked by VW to confirm but as under warranty went back to the garage. Alarm kept going off. Garage told me it was my seatbelt retracting! Told to leave the car there for 3 days for the issue even after i told them. I was not able to. They then replaced the battery and reset my electrics. Issue 2 - the electrics freeze and never had this issue prior. Issue 3 - car rolling on hills amd jerking when starting on flat land. Its an automatic. Told me it was probably a gear issue and was going to send me to a gear box specialist. Again i had this checked with VW who confirmed that the clutch probably needed tightening. Ashdene were adamant i would need to go to Dartford to have it looked at. I refused as ibwas already told what the issue was and there is no need. In the end i had a new sensor fitted, problem solved. Clutch tightened,And turns out that the handbrake was severley unaligned. I sent lots of email and messages as i asked why my electroincs were set, why the handbrake wasnt checked and why the alarm sensor was not considered to be replaced. No response. I have now paid these out of pocket despite being under warranty. VW have confirmed that a handbrake check is part of the standard checks when cars are rolling on hills. More worrying factor is the garage passed the MOT they conducted with no advisories. I have now taken the case up with the Ombudsman due to lack of assistance and to reimburse me. Very poor aftersale service. Do not recommend this garage, especially if you have after issues. Shame, as the first impression was good, which is why i purchased the car. The MOT was done after my test drive. I did think driving it home it felt different, but being a TSI and driving nearly 2 hours home, i assumed this was something to get use to, as with all new cars. Not the case at all. Salesman was lovely. Only good part of this purchase.

We hit a pothole on our way home , luckily Nick and Steve were working and helped us , both passenger side tyres were split, they helped change the spare and replaced the other. Without their help we would have been stranded in a place far from home. Cannot thank them enough for their kindness, highly recommended. Kev and Lynn

Where to start, I wanted a van so I paid a £150 deposit to hold it, I was told it’s fully refundable even if I decided to walk away. It needed an MOT/Service & ‘minor’ body work I was told. Steve failed to say how bad the work was that needed doing and allowed me to drive all that way to look at the vehicle without disclosing the fact the rear lights were smashed & the body work was diabolical. This being said we agreed it would all be repaired and I would still have the van. This process took 10 days. We’re now well into the second week and still have had no communication back about the van, I kept chasing and he suggested to come down the following Saturday to buy the van (it was then Tuesday). He phoned me Wednesday and said he now has a wedding all weekend and that I would have to get there the following Monday during the day to accommodate his mistake and not able to sell me the van on the day he suggested. At this point I’ve had enough, I want the van and they’re dragging their heels and losing a sale as the hours go by. I then said I couldn’t make Monday as I’m working and suggested picking the van up in 2 weeks time. By this point I’ve had enough and said I require my fully deposit back as agreed. I have then been told I’m going to lose some of my deposit despite our agreement due to an ‘admin fee’ this company are botched and do not know how to communicate or organise anything. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Very disappointed with the service at Ashdene Garage, over 5-months they couldn’t fix my car and failed it on the MOT on emissions even though they say there is nothing wrong, took to another garage who diagnosed and fixed and got an MOT, use at your peril

Since moving to the area 3 years ago, I have had my 4 cars serviced and maintained by Ashdene Garage at Hurst Green. When there was a particular problem with my oldest car, a Volvo, they went the extra mile and called in a Volvo expert who was able to solve the problem. I have since exchanged a vehicle for a newer model and am extremely pleased with it. There is also a mot and service system available which is a sensible way to go.
