Bought a van which I had checked over, immediately found faults. Told them the legally had to fix the problems. They had the van for a month, kept fobbing me off with excuses before saying it was ready to collect. Had it looked over again only to find they had simply polished a few parts under the bonnet to make them look new. Now seeking legal paths.

Hi there was this man's name mr k rehman ??? Who owned this business
I bought a van with one months warranty only for it to break down within 10 days. When rung I was told that the company has been sold and changed hands. It is total rubbish, just a tactic to rip people off. The van was put through a new mot but when put through a diagnostic machine showed up many problems. Therefore they gave the van a sham mot to sell it on. This is dishonest and very dangerous as something could have failed at speed causing a crash. Do not buy from them!!!

Can I ask what the end result was? I need help!
I phoned to ask if 2 cars I was interested in were available- they said yes. An hour later there was only one, but that parked in on forecort and apparently unavailable for another 4 days as 'on loan'. Finally to top it off when I asked to see new mot advertised online listing mentioned ' just done' the online checking app said it was expired, all previous mots showing recurrent fault. Should have trusted these reviews and not wasted my time with Ashton Auto Centre. Stupid used car dealerships, thank you online reviews. Stressful hunt for replacement car continues.
I bought a Citroën C8 from Ashton Auto Centre, at the beginning of the year. Be for I have ask if they give warranty the man SED yes one month. And after three weeks the car broke down. I was with on money and on car for more then month. I was need transport to work is around 25 miles one way I borrow money from my boss to fix that Citroen and that cost me around £650. They are constantly avoiding any contact with me and every time I talk to someone in this car dealership is the person I talk to is on vacation. Last time I was this car dealer I met the same person who sold me the car and he told me he left the company what he was working at that time. And now he is working for another company from the beginning of march under another name? He said car dealers they do change a name often is that what the do, and he said just to go with it to the court. They changed the name of the company is not only by me, I think there is more people with such a problem like this. Just for this car dealer I will open facebook page to find more people like me with problem like that.

Did you get any luck? This has just happened to me!
I suggest anyone that is thinking of purchasing a vehicle from Ashton Auto Centre should take extreme caution. They have dishonest intentions. They will take your hard earned or borrowed money, not value you or your custom.

I would be interested to hear more about your issues, as I am currently having some issues and looking into my options with regards to trading standards etc

I'm also having contact issues with these guys! Put a deposit on a van but wasn't as described so requested my money back. Would love to hear about how to get my deposit back via trading standards?

I would be happy to help in anyway ..
I can't fault Ashton Auto Centre they were very good, I bought a Land Rover for an unbelievable price, when I turned up on the day it was clean and tidy and polished up, they took me through the last bits of paperwork and made sure I was familiar with the dash with it being my first 4x4. Excellent service all round and I'm very happy.

I paid £4,300 for a car from Ashton Auto Centre with a 3 months warranty. Crankshaft pulley failed after 2 weeks, taking belts and pulley cover with it. After agreeing with the manager to take it to a local garage, because it was un-drivable, I had a bill for £550. I asked for help of half of the bill and after 3 frustrating months of telephone calls was offered £50. He put the phone down on me when I said I was going to trading standards. Don't go there.

I bought a Audi A4 S Line estate from Ashton Auto Centre. This car and the service I have received from these guys can only be described as terrible. Since having purchased this vehicle I have spent over 6500 on repairs. If I would not of took finance out on the car it would of been long gone. Ashton Auto Centre did nothing to help resolve the issues with the car. When it was booked in to get worked done, it never got done. Please for your own sake avoid this company do not end up in my situation. I would never recommend them to anyone. They have made mine and my families life hell.

Ashton Auto Centre seemed alright to me, no dodgy salesman in sight. The car is fantastic, I've been driving it for around 3 months now and it's never missed beat.

Around 2-3 months ago I bought a car from Ashton Autos. Having found the car I liked and wish to buy I took it out for a test drive at which point I noticed a couple of things were not quite right. As these were pointed out pre sale they told me these would be fixed before I picked up the car should I buy it. I did indeed take their word and went ahead with the buy but when I picked the car up it wasn't fixed all. Car has now been back several times and i still don't have it, it's been over a month and a half now. It's needed a couple of quite serious pieces of work doing on it along with a couple of other things. The car has spent more time being fixed than I have actually had the pleasure of driving it so I couldn't say that I would recommend Ashton Auto Centre for that exact point.
