I purchased a Toyota Aygo which I had for one day when it had a major electrical fault. I had to drive it back to the garage as they could not collect. I was told time and time again it was being repaired and ready in a few days.Eventually, I asked for a refund and was told 90 days for a refund as part of the contract. Lots of emails to the owner who was not bothered at all. I told him 14 days was the correct refund period as per the Consumer Rights Act. Still nothing the owner just kept telling me not to contact him. Resorted in issuing a Court summons where he even asked for 14 days extra time just to prolong it further. Just before his time ran out he said that he would refund in 2 days. I asked for court fees in addition and loss of use, insurance, tax etc. Aftet refusing his refund for just the car he settled including interest and inconvenience. He is probably making a fortune our of people's money and the interest he is making! Do not go there. If you need gelp issue a claim form against him.

Brilliant service and advice. Would definitely recommend Ashton Quality Cars
Jo Williamson in response to Great Service
Out of interest what did you buy ?
Went to see and hopefully test drive a Fiat 500. Admittedly it is over 10 years old. Covered in chips, grimey steering wheel, which can be cleaned with a little respect. Gnarled alloys, hole, or chewing gum stuck to seat. Best laugh, drivers door handle falling off. The owner? Said they wouldn't try and rectify anything, we should lower our expectations. His price is above the Parker's guide for highest forecourt values. No service history, several advisories on the MOT. My advice would be, be true to your potential customers and change the company name to Ashton Cars. Quality isn't in their dictionary, neither cars nor manners. Touching a customer whilst making a point isn't acceptable.

I recently purchased a Renault megan from aqc the Renault was fine apart from it being sold with history and none was provided with the car the problems started after the deal was done. These ruthless people had to have the abs repaired on my part exchange and expected me to pay for it even though I told them about it before the deal took place and they even took the part ex for a test drive and was still happy to go ahead with the transaction, they also wanted to charge me £50 for a valet even though the car i part ex was spotless !!! This dealership will do everything in there power to get as much money as they can out of you, they are now taking legal action against me for £276 totally ruthless people I would never recommend AQS to my worse enemy...
Jo Williamson in response to Do not purchase a car from this dealersh
Put a defence in I will be your witness
Before I begin: The car is a RED Audi A5 S Line, 2011 (KU11) Please do not buy this car unless they have proof of a full engine rebuild and rebore of the cylinders. I bought a car from AWC on the 28th August, 2021. I live in London so I drove it back 150 miles and parked it for 7 days, as I had a work trip in Iceland. Upon returning, the car lasted 5 days (so now 9th Sept) before I started seeing smoke out the back (these engine notoriously have a piston ring issue which leads to extreme levels of engine oil being burnt, but this can be corrected with an upgrade to the pistons rings to the 2012+ model, on the ad to this car it mentioned that the “piston rings had been done”. I emailed AQC, and mentioned that this has immediately (because of the oil reason above) scared me in owning the car and as per the Consumer Rights Act I would like to reject the car. They replied that I needed to get a diagnostics done or Nick (the owner) would come and collect the car himself and they would do it in Ashton. I got a diagnostics on the 17th Sept (Prestige Autos, Forrest Hill) who said that the car was absolutely leaking oil from every part they could see and rather than perform a full diagnostics I should return the car if I can as it wouldn’t be worth it. Contacted AQC with this information, and they all of a sudden were not as keen to collect the car (as they once was) and asked for me to get a “full diagnostic report” On the 24th Sept it went to another garage (Volks Autos, Sutton) and on the 29th Sept Volks Autos confirmed with a full readout that the car had an unacceptable amount of leakage past 2 of the 4 rings and recommended a full engine rebuild. I then contacted AQC Again, with the updated diagnostics asking them once more, that I would like to reject the car. Their reply was for me to deliver the car back to Manchester. After weeks of arguing (literally) and AQC no longer replying to emails and Kellie (Staff) telling me that Nick (Owner) wasn’t in. Eventually the Finance company stepped in and agreedI shouldn't pay for the car to be delivered to Ashton. This was on the 18th October. It then went to three different garages (between 3rd and 8th Oct) which I only found out from calling the garages myself, they had come to the finding that there was “nothing wrong with the car”. One of the garages it went to was the same garage that did the poor piston ring work to the car in the first place, coincidence that their findings were so good? I think not. They then wanted to keep the car and run it for 1000 miles to do an ‘oil consumption test’ which was entirely pointless as per the report from Volks & Prestige Autos (the garages I sent the car too), and this consumption test would take anywhere from 2-4 weeks. On the 8th November, they still hadn’t begun the oil consumption test, nor had they sent me any form of diagnostics from one of the three garages it went too. So they currently had not proved the car was in anyway fit for this consumption test and refused to send me any form of proof. Weeks go by, and at the beginning of December, 2021 they agree to buy the car off me. On the 23rd December, 2021. I received my deposit money back. I cannot physically describe how little and pathetic this company made me feel, and how absolutely disgusting they handled the whole process. I understand completely that things can go wrong with 2nd hand cars, and it is a gamble, but this was beyond a joke. To summarise, it took 4 months to get my money back, which was the most emotionally and physically draining correspondence with a company I have ever had, costing me around £1000 in extra costs from not having a car which I did not get back, for a car that I drove for 700 miles and 6 days. I know everything they’re going to reply to this, and please do not believe a single thing they say. Any doubts on what I have said then please email this account I have set up and I will happily provide you with proof of everything I have mentioned. boycottaqc@gmail.com

Andy Parker in response to The least moral or fair garage
Having bought an Audi Q7 from these my only problem is that they would send me the service history, that was nearly 2 years ago, I have never received it. After lots of phone calls and emails coupled with texts to the owner still not had them. WOULD NEVER EVER BUT FROM THESE EVER WORST NIGHTMARE. BUYER BEWARE
In August 2021 I bought a car from Ashton Quality cars Ltd. I Paid almost 9k for this car which breakdown within 3 weeks of purchase. When I contacted them I was told that it needed a new engine. After a careful thought I decided to reject the sale under the consumer act 2015 and followed everything by the books. I was told to get a mechanical report when the faults were already known to them which didn’t make much sense. After a long headache, finally they agreed to a refund using their 90 days return policy which in fact breaches the Consumer Act according to CAB. It took them 76 days to make a refund when it should’ve been 14days. Save yourself from unnecessary stress, risking your money to a dealer who cares very little for his customers. The manager is very rude with selfish behavior who has no value and respect and neither is he willing to talk sense or find a mutual ground for a resolution.
Bought a car last week and very happy with it, Kellie was lovely and helpful and Nick kindly dropped it off the same day, would def recommend.
PLEASE do not go to this man he is a cowboy please read the reviews which I wish had done because all the negative reviews are true he is a cowboy and will try anything to sell you a vehicle then once you have it, will try anything not to give you a refund if faulty, well didn’t work with me, once trading standards got involved, He doesn’t care one bit about his customers, he gives off that he isn’t the manager and washes cars outside just like other reviews say, and that’s what happened with me, and lets his assistant do his dirty work, once I purchased And drove the vehicle away the engine management light came on.. so I phoned the dealer straight away but he wasn’t interested in the slightest, but it was him now answering every phone call being rude like I had done something wrong when infact he sold me a dodgy car, he wasnt willing to take it back from me, Unless I put my complaint in writing and got a full mechanics report, (so on getting the mechanic report it actually proved in writing that the car wasn’t road worthy and needed over £1500s worth of work and would 100% not pass it’s next mot also a millage issue as the vehicle had less miles on the clock than it did on DVLA so most likely been clocked) he then blocked my number, so I had to physically go and park it on his forecourt and Video him whilst returning all the documents and my complaint letter along with the report which he had asked for and obviously didn’t think I would follow through with like most of his other customers with the same problems, and then had to contact trading standards about him, he also try’s it on with thinking he has 90days to give you a refund when by law he doesn’t so don’t let him try this, as I was advised after sending numeracy complaint letter to him stating his rights, which he continued to go against, and then had to result in trading standards phoning him personally and telling him he’s braking the law I finally received my refund 45days later! SHOULD OF BEEN 14days! PLEASE, PLEASE do not buy from this man, he his the last person you want to have to deal with! He doesn’t have a heart just out to make money! Let’s get him shut down!

Ashton quality cars most definitely do not sell quality cars or give good quality service either. I bought a Nissan Qashqai last week. When I viewed it, it had a airbag light on which I was told about. Anyways I decided to purchase the car, as I was driving back home the drivers side window wouldn’t roll down. I took it to a independent garage after I could hear a rattling sound when driving. Soon as I got it there the mechanic told me the front brake discs need changing ASAP as they are worn down totally. Secondly the air bag light should not be on as it wouldn’t pass it’s MOT with it on(as it may not work in a accident). The Mechanic at the independent garage called Ashton quality cars where he spoke to a really rude lady at Ashton quality cars whilst the phone was on loud speaker, she hung up as I asked her about the warranty. I decided to drive down and speak to them. Upon arrival I was greeted by a rude man who is probably the owner or manager who decided not to listen to me and kept telling me to get out his office and off the property before verbally abusing me. They have refused to sort out the problem, so I have had to go to trading standards. Pls be aware when buying a car from here as they will do anything to sell it to you.

Safia in response to DO NOT USE THIS DEALER
So a little update. I finally had the car returned back to the seller. After them being complete bellends. I took it to a independent garage and got a full mechanical report. Let’s just say I’m so glad that it was returned. But be warned it was back up for sale a few days later on the website the amount of work the car required to be road worthy would need a few days work at least but very much doubt it’s been done
Bought a lovely mini Cooper from Nick. Very friendly, great service and he even delivered the car to Liverpool same day free of charge. Brill
