Bought a bmw and within a day noticed it was making a terrible noise. Phoned and explained to be told it sounded like a brake issue and was not covered under warranty. Strange… it only passed it’s mot the day before purchase. Had it checked by a local mechanic of mine who found out that the differential was faulty. Not only that but the shock absorbers were collapsed and brake discs were below limit. Again car passed it’s mot the day before purchase. Took the car back and rejected it under my legal right to short term right to reject. Was told that they’re mechanic couldn’t find a fault but would refund my money back. This was also an issue as they didn’t want to give me a full refund. They’re argument that I drove the car for 190 miles, most of which was driving away from the forecourt, taking it to my mechanic and then returning it to them. Also the car I part exchanged with them was faulty. Which Alex had told me the car was crushed at a local scrap yard. That same day I watched the so called crushed car get sold on eBay for £1100 more than what they gave us for it. Would a trustworthy car sales lie to you if they had your best interest. It seems they have a friendly mot tester on hand and will pass any of they’re cars for a quick buck. Absolutely disgusting that they knew we were using the car as a family car and to put my family at risk. Even worse to see after them receiving the v5c they have now put the car back up for sale. After having the car in my possession for 10 days and only being able to drive it 2 days this is a complete joke. Please read this and other reviews before you part with your hard earned cash. If you want a faulty car and no after sales then these guys are definitely the guys to see. Mickey Mouse garage

Jeff, Ben and Alex are all nice guys, but mega painful to deal with on comms and will try and manoeuvre out of any taking any responsibility for aftersales. Literally every trick in the book will be employed if it means they can gain leverage over you. You have been warned. When we were discussing prices in the office relating to the part ex of our previous car and Elite Auto knocking money off for a supposed issue I touch on later on in the review. Alex used a trader's guide to prove to me that the car we wanted to trade in was genuinely only worth the paltry amount he was offering even at retail, to which I replied 'But Alex, this is a trader's guide, not a retail guide. Put the Kuga in and see what it says, I bet it's a lot less than the £6k you're asking for it' Alex then turned his computer screen out of view, tapped away at his keyboard furiously, before presenting me with the Auto Trader website and saying 'Look, it says £6k is a fair price' Needless to say I pointed out I wasn't that stupid and he was using two different websites, to which he embarrassingly pointed out 'you'd be great in the trade' alluding to the fact that I was switched on enough to be dishonest and mug people off. I have to say, it was cringeworthy. Anyway, we bought the 2011 Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI from them, which after taking home, I decided to book in for a multi point check with my local mechanics after smelling fumes in the cabin. The long and short of it was a faulty injector seal and cracked fuel filter housing. Ironic as they knocked £300 off the agreed price of the car we part exed with them, because the cabin smelt of fumes. After a little more digging around and realising that one of the front tyres was worn excessively, despite being fitted as a pair with the other front tyre, I decided to have that investigated too. That turned out to be a seized and worn track rod end, which is an MOT failure, although Elite Auto's trusted MOT tester had passed it only a few weeks earlier. On top of that, the tyre that needed replacing was on or below the legal limit (1.6mm) when they sold it to me, as after a 120 mile drive home, it was only 1.3mm. Then we come to the issue of the cambelt, which should have been replaced at 100k miles (the car was at 99k miles) or 10 years from the date of manufacture (which was 2 months before we purchased it) Elite Auto's response was unequivocal 'We are not willing to cover or contribute to the cost of the cambelt, as you should have done due diligence when purchasing the car' Since then and within the 3 month warranty period, there have been other issues too, such as the car going into limp mode due to a faulty fuel vaporiser on the DPF, which they desperately tried to avoid covering under warranty, before, in the end, with no warning, sending an aftermarket part from ECP of all places to my mechanics. They didn't warn me, nor did they mention anything about, they just randomly sent it, despite all the evidence and advice online and from my mechanics, that a genuine Ford part was the only way to go in this instance in order to avoid a repeat of the issue in a less than satisfactory time frame. I've been made to wait weeks at a time for return calls and payments relating to the warranty, speaking to up to 3 people at various times over the same issue. The last of which is the £180 they finally agreed to pay for the DPF fuel vaporiser, that was agreed 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago they said 'we need proof that you've paid the invoice before we can authorise payment' that proof was sent to them the afternoon they requested it, but shock horror, I'm still waiting for that money to arrive in my account. If I'm honest, they've been fair at times, but most of the time painful to deal with and unless you're savvy, you will get exposed by these boys.

Went to see a car after placing a deposit, car was at the back of the storage place. Would have thought it would be out the front ready. Light was smashed, headliner was dangling down and they had tried to ‘fix’ the wheel curb rash and got silver spray paint everywhere!

Please do not buy a car to this car dealer. We bought our car from them in July 2020 with a discount of £100 and the promise that the MOT would run on them this Jan 2021. 3 days later the car had problems and we had to send it to them to be fixed. 6 months letter the car had again another problem and again we send it to them, this time, when they called us to let us know the car was ready, I asked if someone could bring the car to my house and they said someone would do it the following day. No one came and I had to call back to find out that what I was told the day before was not true and they treated me like if I was lying. Today (17/02/21) I have called to see when we could take them the car for the MOT, when I have advised about what I spoke to the person selling me the car (James), the owner (Alex) was close and he has heard everything. He has taking the phone and he was very aggressive with me, when I have suggested “can you speak to James please?” He has answered “I have nothing to speak to him as I am the owner”. Further more, when he has asked to James, this has denied what he promised and Alex has asked me “are you saying James is a lier?”. As I said, Alex has been very aggressive and the car they sold us has been giving problems since the first moment and plus they offer you things, they don’t make them true and they treat your really bad. 100 % please DON’T BUY YOUR CAR WITH THEM!!!

Bought a lovely E Class Mercedes from these guys recently in A1 condition and FSH. After over two months of ownership I experienced a intermittent fault with the Turbo and took the car back to the guys who took the car back, gave a me their courtesy car and fitted a new turbo to my Mercedes all covered under warranty. The service was first class and I was back on the road in no time. Top blokes and highly recommended for peace of mind motoring.

Good experience dealing with this family run business and Ben couldn’t do enough for us. Shame the same cannot be said for the business they use to do the repairs, only minor problems but awful customer service from them. I even had to source the part myself and then Ben and his colleague (sorry I didn’t get your name) fitted it between themselves. Thanks Ben, Alex and James. Yes I would use them again

Avoid this garage. Really poor service. Sold me a fault car which broke down within 24 hours. Really poor customer service with no contact without us instigating the phone call for 3 weeks (the time that they had our car) whereby they did not fix the fault. Requested a refund and they refused! Tried to resolve with their legal team, no response as expected. As a pregnant lady this is very stressful. Just avoid like the plague!
