Too be honest driving such a expensive car i do not blame him and if you were a genuine buyer you would of agreed why be difficult? My dad had someone smash his car before and tried not paying for it. And im sure being a dealer he has alot of timewasters looking to testdrive.

Exactly the same issue - called to request a test drive & was told car was at the back of the showroom & he would need proof of finance before I could drive it and that driving it was what you did after you decided to buy it as a final check, absolutely extraordinary attitude! I shall look elsewhere... What's more they then replied to my autotrader review with a pack of lies. I wonder what else they lie about when you buy a car from them, best steer clear there are plenty of much better dealers out there!

At Auto Options Direct we encourage test drives as part of the buying process. All our cars are also test driven by our staff and mechanics as part of the P.D.I. Ultimately what you need to be looking at when buying a car is ... Is the price within my budget? Do I need finance? What do I get for the price I'm paying? Warranty? Service? Mot? Valet? Hpi report? Is this car the right colour for me and does it have the right spec? Does the salesman have years of experience and have a good after sales? Does this deal seem value for my hard earned money? If the questions have the right answers then it's worth taking the car for a test drive to finalise the buying process, If they don't which is very unlikely as we are very competitive and provide warranties etc then it's probably not worth test driving the car if you have more to view. Usually the same car will drive the same and do what it's supposed to do. So once the car you want has been narrowed down to the one you want to own thats when in our opinion a test drive should take place. We have in the past had cars damaged on test drives, wheels kerbed, punctures etc. So every time a car goes out it's a risk to the business as if a wheel does get damaged the car can no longer be on sale until it's repaired. Mr George Munro didn't even come to the showroom or meet the staff, he never even viewed the porsche 911. He phoned and asked to " take it out for a spin" He was asked if he had his finances in place and told us he had no intentions of buying. This would of been a very big risk to Auto Options. A £25000 high performance car going for a spin with no chance of being sold. We were also protecting this car for its future owner. Would you want us letting people take your dream car out for a jolly? Well rest assured we won't. Mr George Munro says to steer clear???? Because he couldn't drive a car? We take pride in our cars and give you the customer our best service. We are a small family business that have been selling cars for over 20years With 1000's of happy customers. Mr George munro obviously doesn't appreciate all this when he leaves bad feedback. The new owner of the Porsche has left us great feedback on AutoTrader. I picked up my new Jaguar today from Auto Options Direct Ltd. The car was presented very well, i extended my warranty to 15 months at a very good price. I did get to test drive my car and to be honest there were no pressure sales and we went for a good 20 mins. i probably did make it clear to them that i was going to purchase it by saying ive looked at 4 and this is the best ive seen(shot myself in the foot...no haggle room now) To be honest it didn't need a haggle with the extra warranty and better condition it was still a lot cheaper than the rest id wasted my time viewing. The guys at Auto Options showed me the review from that other chap. I can not believe how nasty and most probably spoilt some people are. I'm told this chap didnt even view the car but is leaving negative reviews to try and disrupt a perfectly honest and reliable business because he couldnt get his own way. Poor chap. I can only praise Auto Options from the bottom of my heart and say give them a try, I am happy beyond belief and will highly reccomend. Thankyou Robin

I've now bought 3 cars from Auto Options over the years. Know them really well now. They are very easy to deal with. Mr monro who left the bad review must be a ?..anyway....After reading the follow up review from Auto Options I can see he never met the staff there. Keep up the good work Auto Options. Amy.
