Hi Steve, Disappointing as it is to receive a negative review, we do welcome it as a means to help improve our service. I do feel that in this instance some context is required though. You did unfortunately experience an engine management malfunction shortly after collecting your vehicle but you fail to mention that we attended your property first thing the very next morning with a like for like courtesy vehicle, recovered yours, replaced the damaged boost hose (most likely caused by road debris) with a brand new genuine item and returned it to you the same day. You claim to have had a great deal of work carried out during your year of ownership yet neither us, nor our warranty provider have any record of having ever been contacted which seems most peculiar, I'm sure you'll agree. Now, almost a year and 10k miles later, we're informed of a potential head gasket failure and, though our obligations to you and your vehicle have long since expired, we've tried our best to help. Unfortunately (and as you well know, though have neglected to mention) the Ford main dealer that you've chosen to inspect and repair your vehicle have confirmed that the head gasket has failed as a direct result of overheating due to continued use despite a coolant leak from a failed EGR cooler. We obviously cannot be held responsible for damage caused by driver neglect, but all the same, have offered a goodwill contribution of some £700 which would more than cover the cost of replacing the failed EGR cooler had you not caused the entirely preventable subsequent damage.
