We bought a car in July with several problems that make it undriveable. We called and sent letters but Neil never got back to us. We took them to court, they never showed up. Now we are sending baillifters. Their cars are faulty, they will lie about everything until they get your money and then disappear.

We bought a car in June 2019. The car has multiple faults and is dangerous to drive as per the independent garage inspection. We have taken them to court after they didn't respond to our calls and letters requesting a refund. We have now won the case and are taking measures to enforce the judgement. There is also an ongoing report to the trading standards. Any victims that would like support to claim their money back feel free to contact me.

Krystle Ahmet in response to Moved to Erith - A.M.C car automatics

Hello, I'm so glad I found your review. I bought a car feom Neil AMC Erith September last year and we paid for 1 year extended warranty. The car was slow on test drive and we was told it's just the battery needs charging so we went ahead with the purchase. I paid for a brand new battery 2 weeks later and it didn't make a difference to the vehicle. I went back to Neil and asked flr a refund but he wormed his way out of it telling me not to worry as the warranty will pay for any major works. I then found out the symptoms was that of the dpf being blocked up and I had it cleaned on the warranty but again it was still slow and lagging, it wouldn't go past 50mph. I went back tl Neil and complained again but he said not tl worry and if I have any problems with the warranty for me to come see him again. I took the car to several different garages and nl kne was able to fully pin point what was wrong until finally a mechanic said it was the turbo and then all the covid-19 situation happened so I wasn't able to get my car foxed for 4 months. Once people was able to get out and about again and garages was opening up, I booked my car in with Halfords, the mechanic called me the next day to say my car has a modified box in it which has caused the turbo to be damaged and then the turbo issue has caused the oil pressure to ho and the car is sucking up the diesel and mixing it in with the oil and clogging the dpf and all these issues will cost around £4,000 which is £200 more than I paid for the vehicle, he then went kn to saying my warranty is void because of the car company selling me a modified vehicle so now I'm stuck with the car needing all that work but not being able to get any of it fixed kn my warranty. My partner went back to Neil with me but Neil said Halfords is lying and for me to take it to a new garage. We took it to a new place and agian they said a the same work needs doing and my cars been modified before I bought it. My partner was now very annoyed with Neils lies and he went back to tw Neil he is responsible and either pays for the car to be fixed or give me a refund. Neil agreed that he would get his own mechanic to look at my car and will fix it or give me a full refund. Neil said we could not bring the car in until the 05/08/20 and my partner was with Neil on 28/07/20 Wednesday comes and we get my car towed to AMC and the whole shop is shut and no cars there. A workmen comes upto us saying last week on Tuesdays something happened and Neil packes up the whole shop and actioned off all the cars and did a runner. He said he doesn't know where his gone but they haven't been back since a week ago. Neil won't answer my calls and they won't get back to my emails. My poor car is dead and unusable unless the work gets done or I get a refund please can you help me.

i drove from Bedford to Dartford to buy a car (GOLF) worth £3770 that i had previously spoke to Automagic UK about coming to purchase the car the day befor and as i got there he was showing the car to someone els for a sale (when he already knew i was on way to purchase it myself). since i have purchased the car i have had nothing but trouble and faults and the light on dash kept and still is coming om so i took it to be looked at and to my surprise there were many faults with the car , it needed a re-gen that i had to get done, also found out that the back indicator wasnt working due to a rear washer leaking, and the car is constantly over heating and struggling to start . I should of Realised something was wrong with the company after the owner was aggressive upon viewing the vehicle in the first place I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place evan to a scrappy let alone someone purchasing who has children ...

I had a perfectly good experience with this dealer in 2015. Neil was helpful and even considerate of the fact that I am not a doggy person. I even recommended a business friend to him this year. Although Neil was unable to help he referred us to another dealer. I agree that Neil said he does not negotiate on price. I did not find his approach aggressive in any way at all. We had lots of laughs and he actually suggested a test drive. In fact, my sister who was with me also had a test drive before I bought the vehicle which I still have today and my mechanic confirmed was of good value.

Very bad customer service, Neil was unreasonably aggressive. When first viewing the car I was told I would be unable to take it for a test drive unless I was certain I would buy it. I'm no expert but when making a purchase of thousands of pounds, I find it difficult to make a decision in a couple of minutes, with an unreasonable expectation I will part with my money having just looked at a car... That said I liked the vehicle, had driven over an hour to view it and had the money to purchase it, so requested a test drive. Before doing this I asked Neil if there was any negotiation on price. He told me he had never negotiated on price and I had my first strike, if I ask again he would ask me to leave. I took the car for a drive and really liked it, pulling back into the yard I was certain I would buy and take it home that day. Once out of the cramped garage I had noticed that the car had 3 different types of tyres and in various states of quality. I questioned Neil about this and his response was very 'short', he said they were the same tyres that were on the car when it was in the garage and I should have noticed this before taking it for a drive and wasting his time. Annoyed but not yet beaten I didn't react to his confrontational tone. Struggling with the notion I was not allowed to mention what I thought was a reasonable offer for the car (or I would be out, Neil's words), I told Neil I understand he does not negotiate on price and can even respect that but I was uncomfortable paying the asking price as it just felt too high and I needed a couple of minutes to decided it I would be comfortable with this. At this point he got very defensive and told me if I decide not to take it today he won't sell it to me tomorrow if I changed my mind. This was the point I finally felt too uncomfortable to enter the sales transaction with such a volatile person. If this was his sales charm I dread to think what any after care or support might entail. Having read the other reviews I can now only imagine. I am so sorry for anyone who has dealt with Neil and feel very lucky that I decided to walk away. If you have any doubts about this mans character I would advise approaching with caution and there are many other dealers and cars around.

You had a very lucky escape. I purchased a car from him & have taken him to court when he wouldn't give money back. case is ongoing. I would like to hear from other 'victims' of this unscrupulous trader.

Satish Sathe in response to GUEST

I agree both to your review and also the fact that you had a narrow escape. So, you were lucky. I, unfortunately, purchased a car and it is clear now that this firm just cheats people by one or the other way.

Antonia in response to GUEST

Hello, Can you please do me a massive favour? This lady, Emma, that has responded to your review, would you please ask her to write to me at antonia_omirou@hotmail.com? I have an ongoing court case with them too, and I can't find another way to contact other people who had the same issue.

Shanna Barnard in response to GUEST

Hi, unfortunately as I signed up as a guest I never received her contact details. Hopefully my comment will flag it up for her. Good luck, he was an awful person to deal with.

The owner seems to have developed a highly aggressive sales approach, whereby he repeatedly and aggressively asserts you are wasting his time if you don't buy a car, particularly when he has to move said car out his overcrowded garage for a test drive. Yes, that's right, imagine that - you go to spend money on a car, not unreasonable to ask for a test drive; guess again. There is an ascertain aggressively made by all staff that if you have a test drive you should be prepared to buy. In actual fact the car we saw was decent, overpriced but decent. What drove us away was the threatening nature of the proprietor. I strongly advise you avoid this place at all costs, devoid of customer care and respect.

Cleiton in response to guest

We bought a car from Neil and the problems started soon after and when we called the supposed warranty they asked for a code that Neil refused to give us. He asked us to take the car to a garage that he knows and after they supposed to have fixed the car it got broken again in the first day. We took back to be fixed and still waiting for the car and Neil is been extremely aggressive. How do we should proceed to take them to the court?? I'm sure the problem will keep coming.

Marie in response to guest

I also had to take my car to someone he knows, think he was called rob! They only changed my breaks that were seized the rest that needed doing they ignored me.
