I purchased an Audi SQ5 from Autopoint Stansted in Dec 2020 for a fair price i thought, I contacted Autopoint about the vehicle and asked for walk round of the vehicle as i live about 380 miles away, Autopoint asured me the car was in perfect condition with very slight damage to the right hand front wheel, on this i decided to purchase the vehicle and arranged to pick it. I arrived by train and when i got there it was rainning heavy so only had a quick look around the car before driving away. The vehicle was parked up on my drive as i was working from home and could not travel due to COVID, by the time i got the vehicle cleaned polished i found over 30 deep scratches that would not polish out and needed paint to repair. The garage that polished the vehicle for me told me there had been a silicon polish applyed the body to hide the scratches. Autopoint offered to try and polish the scratches out (that i have already been told need painting to repair) if i take the vehicle 380 miles (at my cost) down to a garage he uses. I explained the scratches need paint and i cant travel because of the lock down. His reply was all he could offer was to try and polish the scratches out. About £100 pound in fuel to be told what i already know. Be very carfull when buying anything from this garage, they give dealers a bad name.. Well done!

We are dissapointed to hear that after taking delivery of the six year old Audi sq5 purchased from us that you have now found some stone chips and scratches some five months later although you have no doubt washed, polished and used the car in this time period. It is also surprising that these chips/scratches had not been noted earlier taking into account your job ( quality control and end of line inspector for Nissan U.K Sunderland ) We can only apologize and once again offer to have our approved bodyshop polish the car free of charge for you. I had been looking for a Kia Sorento for a few weeks saw this one at Autopoint Stansted car sales although I live just outside Dover a good 80 miles away, a quick phone call to arrange a viewing and test drive a great motor decided to buy there and then. Tony arranged for the car to be delivered a few days later complete with new Mot and service, minor problem with handbrake after a couple of days, Tony arranged for the car to be collected and leave us with a courtesy car a brilliant back up and support from Tony at Autopoint Stansted I can fully recommend them and will use them when we replace our daughters car.
