Have been wanting to upgrade my Mercedes SLK for a while. Saw one advertised by autopoint that ticked all the boxes. Contacted them and asked if I could come and see it. Covid has messed a lot of normal things up, I couldn't. Instead I got a full walk around video. In return I did the same with mine for which I got a fair trade price. In short my new car is nothing less then advertised and described. Bit of a delay in getting a full mot with no advisories but that's what I have. Fantastic car with no immediate worries.
I came across a car I wished to purchase. I rang the dealership and explained that I'd like to buy one of their cars. The gentleman I spoke to appeared to be very helpful and friendly. I explained that I would be travelling from over 75 miles away and that I was heavily pregnant and therefore would just like to get done and sorted as quickly and smoothly as possible. The gentleman was great at keeping in contact with me, and keeping me updated on the car. First arrangement of the collection was made, however a few days before the man called to say the car still wasn't ready and was being 'prepared'. Grateful for the call, we rearranged collection for the following Saturday. We made the two hour journey, and arrived at the dealership to be 'greeted' by a man who looked very confused as to why we were there. We explained that we'd been in communication with the previously mentioned gentleman and were here to collect a car. The man then said, 'Ah..but we were waiting for you to call and confirm?' To which I explained we had confirmed, and arranged to collect on the Saturday, hence why we were here. We were then told that the car was still in the local garage having the timing chain replaced. (no whisper of an apology, despite us explaining how far we'd traveled etc) I asked why we hadn't been called and informed of this? To be told the gentleman I'd been dealing with had 'left the business' on Monday. I then asked why a proper handover hadn't been carried out to ensure that this mans customers were dealt with efficiently (to avoid this nightmare) to be told that he'd finished work late last night and didn't know whether to call or not. (trust me..I wouldn't have cared what time the call was made...it would have saved us a 150 mile round trip!!!) Just wanting to get this sorted, I wished to proceed with the sale of the car. Therefore, we asked what our options were. The man said we could drive home in a courtesy car today, and have the car delivered when it was ready. No problem. At this point, I need to stress just how uninterested this salesman was. There was absolutely no passion to drive a sale, make sure that I was happy etc. It was all very....blase. The longer this went on for...the more reluctant I felt to actually go ahead with the sale. But for the sake of my own convenience and needing the car, I continued to hold out. That was until the man started to ask where it was he'd be delivering the car to. I explained 75 miles away near the east coast. To which he replied.. 'ahh....so it's really difficult to get to then?' to which I responsed, 'No not at all...its just a lengthy journey.' Basically saying that he couldn't really be arsed. That was the final straw. My partner explained that I no longer wanted to go ahead with the sale, and this was the happiest we saw him!! Suddenly there was a great smile on his face, he happily gave me my deposit back (after initially saying he couldn't find any proof of me paying a deposit...) and off we went. The most appalling customer service, communication and general all round experience. Avoid this place at all costs. They do not deserve your hard earned money!!
Don't do it! The assistance is poor, The after sales is poor, No warranty even though advertised, Sold as seen in other words.

Avoid these cowboys at all cost !!!! Where do I start with these con artists, waited a month for the car which wasn’t even clean when I picked it up same day the oil pressure light came on then waited over a month for them to pick the car up for repairs, then given a courtesy car that wasn’t even taxed or insured then to be given a load of lies saying it was insured etc when it wasn’t, then I received my car back after 3 months of them having it, got the car back with a mouldy boot where it’d obviously been stored with boot open or something, scuff on the wing mirror and 5 months later still no proof the timing chain was actually replaced cause that was the problem so more than likely bodged it and just cleaned to sump out !!!! Avoid avoid avoid
I purchased a BMW and was given a very fair exchange deal for my old car which meant there was no deposit to pay. The exchanges of finance was done smoothly and efficiently and the car was ready for pick up as requested. A very efficient and easy service. Brad was very polite and easy to talk to. I would recommend Autopoint York.
Made a 250 mile journey to Autopoint York after negotiating on phone. Car was as described in fact better! Any worries I had about the long drive back we’re quickly dispelled once I got on the motorway . A great drive which I thoroughly enjoyed.

It’s been a week to the day since we collected our new car and we absolutely love it! We have already covered 2000 miles in it even taking it on holiday and it hasn’t skipped a beat! AutoPoint staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the finance agreement I took out and ensured both the finance and the car were a fit for our needs. Would recommend to anyone in the market for a car!

Living in the north east we struggled to find a car we felt matched the list of what our son had given us. We felt slightly uncomfortable having to travel outside of our home county but decided to make the trip to York as we had seen a few minis in the local area that we could combine at once. Fortunately for Bradley the one we had looked at previously in nearby Malton wasn’t as described. Brad made an effort to send us pictures before we committed to the trip which did help my husband be at ease. Trip done and we bought the car!!! Efforts well spent and would happily travel again to see Autopoint York.

Efficient and very nice staff. smooth and professional transaction. just bought a VW Passat and drove home couldn't be happier, think I have myself a very nice deal. Thanks Brad class act. Highly recommend Autopoint York.
