Very disappointed with their lack of empathy and sly dealings
Bought a car from these Cowboys only to find there is no spare wheel no locking nut no will brace no jack When I noticed a few months later, contacted them and they did not give a s*** They weren't one bit interested and the salesman was very unsympathetic Stay well away from these w****** Don't forget their name auto-trade South West S*** bags
I paid(refundable) deposit to test drive a car. Then I decided not to go ahead with purchasing the car( which I right) now I am being told the deposit is "non refundable" by making some poor excuse. I am glad I didn't buy anything from these cowboys. So I want people to exercise caution, and not get rip off.

As purchasing a car on finance from this company in good faith, to the get to the M5 junction and engine management light comes on to be told to come back once I arrived in Gloucester so they can look at the car, all they did was switch it off and said car was in a roadworthy condition and not to worry about it. After contacting the finance company who of which are just as bad and avoid like the plague they sent a third party assessor out then to be told it was fine....12months on... Car went for a mot and failed on emmisons(car finance company had more complaints from me of which they couldn't care less before the mot) So rung Finance back they sent another assessor out to look over the vehicle for the to find out that the car had no cats at all and the welds predated my purchase, the car was due to go back to the garage so I could get a refund... On the night they were sent the report from finance company my car somehow got damage beyond repair. Yes is maybe a coincidence but when there were more cars in the car park and that one was the only one touch and report stated where it was check its more then a coincidence. Still fighting for my money back with finance company due to this garage. If I was going to give anyone advice on this place it is avoid like the plague because your end up conned! They will eventually be closed down.

Lisa in response to Con Men and Crooks
They did the same to us 8000 pounds spent and our car has had multiple problems engine light came on as we drove it back the wheel also fell off had to have all that replaced and now the gear box has gone after we spent a further 2 grand to get the other stuff fixed they are con men
These people are a bunch of con men, paid a £99 deposit to hold the car which was fully refundable if I didn’t like the car. I didn’t take the car and asked for the deposit to be refunded. After 6 weeks and various phone calls they are still refusing to refund the money. The £99 was also to take it off sale which they didn’t even do as the car was listed on every platform not that it matters but even if I liked the car I wouldn’t go anywhere near the place again. I’ll be reporting them to trading standards and hope this feedback acts as a warning to any potential customers looking to purchase a vehicle from them. Shout out to David for being as slippery as an eel
Matt Throup in response to Avoid these crooks
James, I have seen many reviews stating the same as yours being told they could pay a refundable deposit to hold a car and then they won't refund after having seen the car they travelled to see and was not as a described. The one star reviews seem to show a pattern of this type of conduct. I was lied to my face and in writing. One of the Directors I cannot remember without checking my email whether it was from Ali or Umar said if I did not remove my review they would not pay me what they owed me .... guess what .... they never paid me what they owed me and I left the review because they had lied to me and not paid me. They owed me because they did not provide what was advertised. Mis advertising, lies, broken promises. this is my experience. I think the main reason for the one star reviews is people don't like being lied to after having handed their money over as they may feel they have been defrauded
These people are crooks, steer well clear. I viewed a car and placed down a holding deposit which I was informed several times by the sales rep and the manager David Merino that it was fully refundable. The car itself needed some work, engine work as well and interior work, which they agreed to fix. The car itself had a pretty large crack approx 11cm on the windscreen which I was assured was recently MOT on site which pass the legal requirement. This was a lie and a fraudulent MOT. When I challenged this as well as my concerns of potential other things which passed the MOT which wasn’t to the legal level, I requested my fully refundable deposit as promised back. I then had several days of back and forth where they were determined not to let me have the deposit back, this included them offering to fix the windscreen. I informed them that I was to flex the consumer rights act where I do not have to accept a fix. They then refused to speak to me as I didn’t accept the proposal to a fix and they went onto sell the car to some poor person during the dispute which was also against the contractual terms in their agreement. I’m now pursuing legal proceedings. They are crooks as they are selling shoddy cars and doing their own in house MOT & servicing which in this instance has been certified illegally. Be very careful

From day one service was shocking. Car wasn’t ready. Part exhange price dropped after agreeing a price. Vehicle had many dangerous faults. These went to be repaired but came out unfixed and there was significant further damage to the paint work and vehicle. All of course were apparently there before. Beware if you email your problems for an evidence trail this company will block your emails and contact. They never get back to you, don’t even know the name of the person dealing with your car or say they will call back but weeks or months later still nothing. Within the constant poor customer services and lies and fake repairs they hope you give up , so my advice is do not use this garage and if you do email no call so you have evidence for the ombudsman, they will out without orejuduce in the emails meaning it cannot be used in I’m court but this is only relevant if they are trying to come to a resolution which they pretend too h it the emails will evidence they aren’t, stay away from this dangerous lot of what I perceive as damaged repairs that even when fixed the mechanic lacks competence, run run run!!!!

DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE SHARKS! Read their other reviews too. I have never felt so strongly as I do now to make sure other people are not put through the same stress and heartache as we have been through following a purchase of a car from auto trade southwest. After saving for a long time, purchasing the car and having it delivered to us on 19th January, we discovered a few issues some of which I can put down to age, albeit we should have been told about them, others were outright lies. I asked one of the sales team what the tyre treads were in the car and Marcus specifically told me they were all over 5mm. Most were in fact under 3mm and some under 2mm. He has since denied this comment and that he never measures tyre treads. Marcus is an outright lier and not someone who can be trusted. He is also incredibly rude and a conversation with him shouting at me call me a liar left me in tears and under even more stress. The following day the screen washing process wasn’t working so my husband investigated this and very quickly discovered there were holes in the pipes from the fluid tank to the screen washing jets. This meant nothing to get to the jets to clear the windscreen. This would have been a mot failure and the car was therefore unroadworthy and unsafe to drive. Upon informing the company of this problem, Marcus was very insistent we get the car inspected and we keep it. Due to the other lies and not knowing any other issues we completely lost faith in this company and their cars and the inspection process they clearly don’t go through. We informed them in writing that we wanted the car returned to them and a full refund. This was where the disgusting attitude came from almost every person I spoke to. David is the only person I dealt with that has a shred of decency in that company. He wasn’t rude but still didn’t care enough to get things sorted urgently. I refused contact with Marcus after the conversation mentioned above. James was then the next person, very understanding and calm on our first chat, second chat- another story. A rude arrogant man with no care for the fact they’ve sold us an unroadworthy car. Next Adam, the managing director, equally arrogant and awful to deal with. Having spoken to citizens advice, I knew I was entitled to a full refund including the delivery cost and the car would be returned at their cost. They refused all this. They were happy to leave me £700 out of pocket for 2 delivery charges for a car they sold as faulty. I eventually managed to get our initial delivery cost agreed to be refunded but the return journey had to be arranged and paid for by me. Another stress. Trying to get anything in writing from them is like pulling teeth. Actually getting refund paid is a horrendous process. They take hours between each tranche and they wait until the final minute of their window to pay it. They also block contact, don’t call back, don’t reply to emails. They are pure spineless horrible people. They don’t care for people’s stress or feelings. They also try to use not leaving a review as a bargaining tool. Marcus threatened to not have my money paid to me because I mentioned bad reviews. I’m sure they’ll be a response to this review from someone within the business claiming they’re not in the wrong but none of it is true. I was sold a faulty car and they should have rectified this to ensure I was not out of pocket for something that I am not to blame for. They have no respect for women, stress, people’s lives, savings, feelings or anything else. They care about lining their pockets above anything else. Do not entertain their business. It means nothing!
