Arranged to test drive a car at Castle Donnington 40 miles away. Arrived to be shown a filthy car inside and out to which the salesman apologised stating they had just got it in. Liked how it drove and discussed figures. All OK so far. I was then advised about the diamondbrite protection. I asked whether the car would be thoroughly prepared inside and out to rid any paint imperfections and interior stains before the sealant was applied as it would lock them in. A solid YES was replied. I asked if they could move the car to Sutton branch as it was closer and that's what they advertise and I was told NO. I placed my order and advised to return in 12 days to give them time to prep the car. 12 days later I arrived at 0945 to collect my new car. 1hr later still no car with the rep stating it was being finished off. I am then shown out to a car covered in white powder with marring and swirls all over the chrome and paintwork they had even sealed tree sap under the protective coat. Inside smelt of chemicals and was filthy. I refused to accept it stating I had paid £300 for the diamondbrite and it was unacceptable. They said I could wait and they would re do it, I explained to do it right would take 4 hours at least. An hour later shown out to a car that had basically had a hose pipe over it. The manager then went on that it's best practice to valet the car the day it is collected. I explained if they had valeted it and applied the protection days earlier it would have been a simple hose down on the day. He then changed tact andvsaid due to covid restrictions they can only havev2 people working on a car at a time. Again I pointed out they had 12 days to sort it. Eventually he conceded they were short staffed and it had been rushed on the morning of collection. I took the car and paid for my own valet. 4 hours later the car was wash stripped and re sealed. The interior shampooed and thoroughly cleaned with 15 yes 15 wax crayons recovered from the side of the seatscamongst other filth. The valeter even stated the roof hadn't had any diamondbrite on it with how it washed compared to the panels. I am now waiting on a refund of my £300 and really I should be refunded for my valet costs as a good will gesture. Emails sent after I was told to return the diamondbrite kit which I did the same day. No refund or answers yet. CEO also emailed still nothing. Had cars from the Sutton branch before and they were 5 star I'd avoid Castle Donnington. Update Now received email stating they are refunding the diamondbrite cost via a cheque in the post unfortunately no offer of the £85 to cover my valet. Re your reply you wanted me to return the car to Castle Donnington a 80 mile round trip this is after you had failed on 2 attempts to valet the car to any degree of professionalism. You refused to let me take it to my local store in Sutton. It took my valeter 4 hours with 2 of them doing the car to rectify your mistakes. The refund of the diamondbrite protection was due to it being installed poorly and it had to be polished out to get to the sealed in tree sap except on the roof where there was no diamondbrite applied. Broken promises and poor excuses which are then back tracked on are something I'd associate with the dodgy street corner car dealer not a nationwide company which prides itself on customer service. I would be interested to know if you feel its right that a customer has to pay for their own valet on a car bought from yourselves because your wash n go staff aren't upto the job.

I have bought my 4th car from here and find yes some sales staff are lacking general vehicle knowledge but I know my cars and if I don't like what I see I don't buy only gripe is I wish they wouldn't spray the fronts of cars that have stone chips it never matches the originall paint and stands out like a sore thumb
The service, particularly the after sale service is terrible. After choosing the vehicle I wanted it was a good 2 hours of paperwork, checks and negotiation. On the day I picked my vehicle up I was given a time to arrive. On arrival I was seated and waited 35 minutes before anyone came to see me, then again, a good hour of signing papers and being read legalities etc. However, the major frustration is the after sale service. Once you have paid your money their interest is non existent. I have been chasing a spare key for my vehicle for four months. I was told at hand over I would have it in a few weeks. I called up 8 weeks later and told it would be with me in 2/3 weeks time... it wasn’t. 4 months down the line and I still don’t have it! I have called their after sales team multiple times. Sometimes there is no answers, when there is an answer I’m always told “no one is available, we will get someone to call you back” a call that never comes! Frustrating and terrible service and I am still without my second key as promised. My advice and warning would be get everything you need at point of sale and hand over, because after this point their service and responses are embarrassingly bad. Sales over service it seems.
These Guys are only after your Money, I ordered my car and arranged to collect the following week, On arrival was left waiting ages because they said they had the collection time wrong even though it was correct on the paperwork, Only after I had paid (they insist on this being the day before collection) and was completing the paperwork did they advise they only had one key and the 2nd would be posted out and that this could be up to 4 weeks due to the current COVID 19 situation, After 5 weeks I chased them and was eventually have told I will need to go into Cannock for them to sort the key once they have it, it is now over 7 weeks and no further contact from them - I will never buy from these guys again.

Dear future customer's of Available Car Supermarket Cannock. I Highly recommend avoiding A5 Watling St, Cannock WS11 1SL. After viewing a vehicle we left a deposit on a £20,000 Jaguar, We reported damage to the window screen prior to the collection date. The sales advisors confimed the damage would either be fixed or replaced, upon collection the damage was still highly visible. Complaints manager suggested the item had been fixed and I quote said "It would pass an MOT" & "You don't have to take it if you're not happy with it" (after tax/insurance/full payment was made). Highly dissapointed with the overall experience compared to other branchs. Regards.

I was all set up to make my purchase with Available Car Supermarket in Cannock and decided on the particular vehicle I wanted. I booked a day and time over the phone to test drive 3 days in advance. On arrival we waited in a reception area for 10 minutes or so for someone to attend to us and were then taken through to another seating area and the staff member went away to arrange things. She was gone for quite some time. (around 30 minutes) Eventually a different member of staff came to us and said he was the previous staff members manager and the car wan't available after all paint shop so could he interest me in something else instead.. I declined as politely as my annoyance would allow and left; frustrated at 2 hours of my day wasted and and a one hour round trip to get there and back. In addition, the manager appeared to have no concern about their ineptitude, inconvenience caused or loss of a sale. I visited Arnold Clark in Stafford immediately afterwards, had helpful and personal service throughout. I had a test drive there and then and bought my ideal car (at a better deal) with no trouble at all and will be collecting it within a day.

Sam in response to A complete waste of time!
Two places I would never deal with. Arnold Clark and Available Car branches. I would add a few others too but best not.
Just collected my car prior from AvailableCar Cannock to viewing it last Thursday. I was happy with the overall condition of the vehicle but there were a couple of minor defects, which I pointed out to the sales and prep team on the Thursday, and I was assured they would be sorted before collection today. Upto this point i was very happy with the service from the several members of staff who I had dealt with. On collection today I walked around the vehicle to find the small amount of touching up done to a very poor standard and some areas not even touched as agreed. Bodywork is not my profession but from a big car dealership like AvailableCar I would of expected a more professional job. What I got was what looked like a 2 minute job with a touch up pen which looks to be a different colour to the car and done very poorly. Almost to the point i think i personally could of done a more detailed job myself. I discussed with the nice lady from the handover team that I wasn’t happy with the work that had been carried out. However midway through our conversation I was confronted by a very rude and arrogant Mathew who turned out to be the handover manager. Personally I didn’t see why his input was needed at all as I was satisfied with how Jess (the handover lady) was dealing with the situation by discussing the further possible options. His customer service was completely appalling and the way he spoke to me was very belittling and completely out of nowhere. It is not how I expect to be spoken to, especially when purchasing a car. After feeling saddened and disappointed by how I was spoken to, I approached his desk after removing the number plates off my p/x to discuss what had just happened, expecting an apology which would of completely resolved any issues. However after 5 minutes more of his complete arrogance and rudeness I decided to remove myself from the situation as he made it very apparent he clearly was right and what I had to say was irrelevant. Ultimately I was falsely led on that any bodywork issues we had discussed would be sorted however my main issue is how I was so poorly treated by this member of staff. This is the first time I have used available car and most certainly will be the last. I was also promised a 2nd key in the post, however I have no confidence that that will be received. Thank you to James, the showroom manager, who gave me a written complaints form. I will be doing this also. Thanks.

Brought a car from Available Car Cannock for £8000 and after 7 months took for MOT and failed on brakes and tryes and front track rod. Loads of letters later to them and they still say it is wear and tear.
