Here is the report from the warranty stating it is an absolute impossibility that this car has these problems after your purchase Avenue Car Centre 103 Broomhall Road Blackley Manchester M9 8WQ I bought a Volkswagen Tiguan 4 motion MT12 BHE from you on 26/02/2022. I paid £5790 I now find the goods have the following faults: • Inception Date: 26/02/2022 • Fault Reported: 15/03/2022 • 17 days on policy at time of reported fault • WA • Contributions checked • IVIS report • initial mileage 131 360, current mileage is 131 940 • We noted that the offside footwell was wet to touch, along with the underside of the dashboard. The contamination was consistent to be rain or other sitting water and not coolant. • Under bonnet observations revealed that the coolant expansion vessel was devoid of coolant and some general debris was noted within the webbing on the expansion vessel, although no evidence of any oil contamination was present. The oil level was found to be correct, although displayed a dark colour and slightly burnt odour. • Upon manual manipulation, none of the idlers or pulleys were found to have a smooth operation, without some form of noise and/or resistance being present. The auxiliary belt was no longer present. As such, its condition could not be established. • The vehicle’s engine started readily and ran smoothly at the time of our inspection and was not in a non-running condition, as advised on our instruction. The engine was only running briefly at idle speeds due to a lack of coolant within the system and the auxiliary belt not being present, we can, however, confirm that no excessive noise was present and there was no evidence of a lack of compression. • The first probable cause is wear to the water pump subsequently resulting in leakage and depletion of coolant. The auxiliary belt then becoming displaced, due to either coolant contamination or deterioration of the belt, due to its exposure to such contaminant. • The coolant loss could have occurred from the water pump failing to circulate correctly for some time and as such has depleted due to evaporation over a period of time; however, such conditions should be evident to an operator by way of various warning messages and lamps on such vehicle type, prior to this occurrence • The conditions, in any case, we consider, would have been developing at the time of cover inception, taking into consideration the time and mileage elapsed since that point. The vehicle will also require separate attention to the water ingress condition noted, as this will compromise the integrity of electrical systems • We can conclude that the auxiliary belt is no longer present to the engine and there is evidence to suggest a long-standing oil leak that has contaminated the auxiliary components. Coolant contamination also appeared to be present, although no visible external leakage was noted. • There is no evidence of a sudden failure or breakage occurrence, and we consider the condition is resultant of gradual deterioration, to either the water pump or related auxiliary components, responsible for its correct operation. • The conditions, we consider, would have been developing at the time of cover inception. The car stops working only 15 days of purchase/ownership I purchased this car because I needed something sturdy to passenger my 97-year-old mother and her wheelchair and my brother and sister who both have disabilities. It is a military operation to organise my family members to go for a trip or to go shopping because I need to take all 3 and pack the car with wheelchair and all essential care equipment. To have a car is paramount as I care for my family (which are 200 miles away) and I do alternative weekends of 24-hour care as well as holding down a full-time job. I feel utterly disappointed that I have had no response to my letters to the car dealer or phone calls and I am desperate to acquire resolution to obtaining a full refund for the purchase of the car plus the fact I am now hemeraging money That I don’t have so am in debt, I have had to pay for repairs as the warranty would not cover stating the faults were apparent prior to the sale of the car. I now find myself with a £2000 + (PAID) repair bill and rising, I am also going through trading standard and the cost are just over £1000 before the hearing. I am on the verge of a break down myself? DO NOT FALL FOUL TO THE DEALER, AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Can not trust this dealership or anything they say. Car have new MOT but when I took it to a garage they didnt understand how it could have passed any real MOT. Had multiple issues with car spent around £1000 making the car road worthy. Spoke to Keith who sold the car (which he said had zero issues and just passed a frsh MOT) he didnt help in any way and said it was my tough luck which is not how you expect a dealership to behave. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Keith's premises certainly aren't the most flashy you'll visit, but I found him to be approachable, good humoured and honest. Similar to another review, Keith's assessment that "it doesn't need anything" was subjective, as I found a few minor cosmetic things that needed doing. Having said that, the car has been great, no problems at all, and I'm confident that if anything were to have gone wrong that Keith would have made it right. Thanks for everything - I'm a very happy customer!

Perhaps you were just lucky ! Because from other reviews including my friend’s- this company rips people off, they don’t respond to letters etc sent ! Investigation pending
I visited your garage on Saturday to view a tiguan , I spoke to you on the telephone and you told me the car was in great condition with no problems as I stated I needed it for work. Due to catching a train ,a tram and bus to get to you I was half an hour late of the stated time but i apologised for this. Luckily I took my son with me who is a qualified mechanic not just a wannabe be one.. You told me it had never towed anything as someone had put 4 new michelin tyres on it but my son found a receipt for a tow bar and the tow bar plate was left underneath, You had put 12 months mot on the car in june and then it had not moved off the forecourt (and I use this word loosely) My son then noticed that it was lower over one wheel arch at the back he looked under neath and the suspension coil had snapped and was digging in the tyre so wasnt even safe enough to take it for a test drive because it was dangerous. He also found that the clutch/ dual mass fly wheel was wearing out, but you said that you can make all your cars make that noise?. I wasted £60 on travelling there and back and you weren't even apologetic. You can now add a few more bogus positive ratings to make you look better but that wont help you when people turn up to see your cars and crap attitude. Hope this is detailed enough for you !

Once again I would like to apologise again for the inconvenience it may have caused by the unforeseen circumstances of the rear spring being fractured on the the tiguan I was un aware of the problem but was willing to rectify the as soon as physically possible on the Monday morning and reimburse you for travelling expenses. The spring could have fractured at any one time especially with the condition of roads lately which your son the mechanic? agreed with. The noise from the dual mass clutch was general were & tear for a 12 year old 135,000 miles tiguan which your son the mechanic also agreed on.The tow bar Please ! The problem I think which may of upset you was I was not willing to reduce the price any lower than it already was. & fix any faults. But really does that give the Wright to be so childish ( bogus positive ratings!!!!!!!). & especially (crap attitude!!!!!) Please I tried but I don't think anything would have been good enough but once again I do apologise for any inconvenience it may have caused. Sorry Kevin
Came over from the isle of man on all intentions of purchasing a Toyota rav4. Left a deposit on the car through the week & was flying over to pick up weekend. But when I arrived I fell in love with a BMW x1 completely different from the Toyota. Kevin was great about it he let me test drive both & in the end the BMW was the one. Thank kev chuffed to bits
