Dear Mr Swallow The Service history on your SLK was sent to you in full detail prior to you purchasing the vehicle. It was verified by every dealer who had serviced or carried out repairs . You had all the information available to us and you prior to placing a deposit on the vehicle. We delivered your 2011 SLK a day later than arranged due to YOU cancelling the day prior to delivery. You then changed your mind and insisted it was delivered the very next day. We managed to sort this however we had to leave late afternoon which meant arriving after 7 pm at your home address. It was dark when we arrived however it was pleasing the following day when you sent me a picture of the car stating how beautiful it was and that even your neighbours had commented on the quality of the vehicle. During the following 7-10 days you messaged me numerous times to say how pleased you were with the car, including a comment from the local Mercedes dealer saying you had bought a “good car there”. On the 22nd February you left us a 5 STAR Google review. Personally highlighting the great service you had received from myself and the high level of preparation put into the car you had bought. Unfortunately shortly after your attitude seemed to change. Due to a slight delay (3 days) in the setting up of your warranty you became very aggressive and bombarded me and my wife with calls and messages. Out of frustration at this point I offered you return the car and I ll refund your money. However you hadn’t disclosed a few issues with the car!! A dent in the door and a dent in the sill. We had full video and photographic evidence of the vehicle directly before delivery and an independent inspection of the operation and condition of the car. So without doubt damage had occurred during your ownership. In addition you were also suggesting the car had a slight leak from one the door/roof seal. Which after Warrantywise, said would not be covered, we agreed to pay for. We even spoke to the Mercedes specialist you had booked the car in with and they agreed , one seal was leaking. Rubber seals can perish and fail at anytime especially on a vehicle of this age. However once again you tried to distort the truth and suggest that all the seals needed replacing, even using a sponge or cloth to try a replicate a leak, videoing it and sending it to us. You constantly threatened us with Bad Reviews if we didn’t pay for work , which was not present on sale. We will never be bullied as a company, or personally by this sort of dishonest behaviour.

Hi there, did you seek legal advice if so what was the outcome? We are starting the process as have also fallen victim to Emerson’s dodgy ways.

Hello Jade in answer to your question ! No he did not seek legal advice because he had no case. unfortunately he was trying to extract money from us for bodywork damage he had caused himself ( we took a video of the car before it was delivered and had an independant pre delivery inspection on it) we also have all of his messages and e mails telling us what a lovely car it was and all the comments he was getting about how nice it was. Unfortunately, what he did have was a rubber perish on the roof, which we offered to pay for ( have e mails to prove) unfortunately he wanted all the ones that had not perished replaced as well, and he unsuccesfully attempted to trick us into making the roof look like it was leaking. Hence his nasty review. Awful what we have to put up with.

Thank you for the review, although I am concerned you’ve made a mistake! We had no customers by the name of Marcus in November or December. Also we never complete any work without a customers approval. During the last 18 months our waiting area has been closed so I fail to see how you could have timed any work we completed. This site “ CAR DEALER REVIEWS” relies on a subscription being paid by the Dealers for them to manage their reviews. There are far better ways of getting a balanced review of a business.

What an in depth review. No content , no reason……. nothing. This site is a sponsored site. I enquired about getting removed and they suggested we pay them in order for them to manage the reviews!!!! Please look at Google or Autotrader for balanced and qualified reviews, good and not so good.
