Excellent service from start to finish. David was extremely helpfull, knowledgeable and polite. The car, an insignia estate, was in very good condition, fully cleaned inside and out with a full 12 months MOT, with extra work carried out that I didn't expect. I would highly recommend Barnyard trade car sales .

Recently purchased an Audi from this amazing dealer .. he was super helpful and allowed us enough time to make our decision. The car it’s self was spotless and clean, couldn’t ask for more.

We purchased a qashqai from barnyard cars and we were Aware that it had a couple of issues, as the advert described. The clutch was heavy and that was pointed out by Dave. The air con didn’t work either. After speaking to my own mechanic, he recommended that we change the clutch, it was nearly £600 for the actual part and then £600 to fit it, I honestly panicked and contacted Dave. He was very understanding and asked how we could resolve the issue, eventually decided to go halves on it ( the cost of the car outweighed the clutch repair) It was repaired and air on regassed, I have completed another trouble free 28000 miles since. Would buy another car from him without any doubt.

Hi Pete, Thank you for being spot on , and it was great to see you all once again, All the Best . Regards David
Firstly i must add David is a very polite chap, not a pushy usual car salesman. However i went to view a Citroen Berlingo VTR today, drove an hour there, only to find a few things not on the listing. Car needed a new windscreen, AC did not work, More body damage than on the listing, and a HUGE dent in the OSF sill. Now i have bought and sold a lot of cars over the years, and as such have quite a bit of experience as to how they play the game. But this is naughty, you cant advertise a car as one thing, and then get there to find other items wrong. Had he listed the issues in the first place, you can make an informed decision as to if you want to take that car on, knowing the issues are present. Sadly this was not done, so today was a wasted 2 hour drive and fuel. So be careful with the descriptions that are put on adverts as they may not be true.

Mr David Matthews from Barnyard Trade Cars Ltd in response to Buyer Beware
Hi , Thank you for your review, i really try to take the best from these comments ...but where do i start here ...... the berlingo is a 14 year old car derived van...it has covered 120 000 miles and had 4 familys as owners...as advertised it is a clean and tidy van for" its age and miles" it has a chip in the windscreen thats been advised on the last 3 mots...the sill dent that is no bigger than a satsuma...and in your words, its common on the blind spot of the van to have this ( as you had been to see "several "already )... A/C may just need a regas if necessary .... my advice to yourself is when your looking at a £2k , 14 year old van "you must expect some , marks wear and tear , etc etc ...and if you require something to be immaculate and not used , you should be going to a citroen main dealer for a NEW one, but they will be £15000. and not £2000.....and as i recall you came from banbury area ,which is 40 mins away and you had cancelled coming 3 times previously ... I put 22 + high def photos on the adverts and a accurate description ( a 14 year old vehicle , will have wear and tear ) and thats the point of people viewing , and come and look/ testdrive and make there own mind up before committing to a purchase...were here to help and if the vehicle is not for you , well good luck in your search.....
I purchased a Kia Sportage off this ‘reputable’ dealership over 3 weeks ago. I live over 130 miles away so viewing was not really an option, a slight gamble but I took the risk due to the description, the photos, video and the dealers word on how ‘great’ condition the car was in. On his description it said a slight crease in the wing but unnoticeable in his words. I didn’t see an issue as I could get this sorted, everything else looked great so I went ahead with it. I told the transporter to give a once over of the car and call me before loading it on to his flat bed. I had already told him I knew about the wing so anything else. He said a slight ding in the bonnet. So I call the dealer up and he proceeds to start his list of lies and deceit here. Claiming it was in the description, the description I was looking at whilst on the phone to him. I compromised with him and said if he would work with me to get it fixed I won’t bother kicking up a fuss and go ahead with the sale. He agrees so the transporter loads the car then sets on his way. 4 hrs later he arrives, car looks ok on the flat bed so off he brings it. As he is reversing the truck off he touches the brakes at the bottom and it begins. A massive grinding in the pads, absolutely horrendous. It’s at this point I notice one of the ‘advisories’ was the pads. Obviously not just an advisory, an absolute must. So I then put the car on my drive and give it a once over. It’s at this point I see all the misdemeanours of the vehicle. Not only a slight crease in the wing, it’s a full on scrape and dent along with another small one further down. 2 thumb size dents and chips on the bonnet. A horrendous patch job on the back which has been hit, the inside looked like they had a let tiger. Scratches all over the interior, some weird red stains on the back seat and big chunks out of the plastic in the boot. The car hadn’t even been cleaned let alone properly valeted. But this is all just cosmetic but enough alone for anyone to return given the fact that NONE of this had been disclosed before hand. After realising this I checked the electrics of the car. Gear stick was stiff and took effort to actually shift up and down, then I open the Panoramic sunroof and it doesn’t close. That was the final straw, I immediately called the garage to which I had no response or reply at all. I then call the finance company who had to phone the dealer. The dealer dodged all of my emails my calls and txts. He refused to pay delivery and refused to have it picked up. He also refused to send the funds back until he had seen the car even though he knew I hadn’t drove it at all. The car sat on my drive for 2 weeks until the finance company finally managed to organise a pick up of the car. Dealer still dodging all my calls and messages at this point. He has now had the car back for OVER a week and still no word from him, no refund of delivery and no return of the funds so I can buy another car. Buying a car is supposed to be a nice and enjoyable experience, it couldn’t have been more of the opposite. I honestly couldn’t tell you to steer clear enough of this lying scheming dealership especially this guy we dealt with. Like a back alley trader who’s used to selling faulty goods and getting away with it. Disgusting

Hi, Thank you for your great review ...The kia is a 9 year old 98000 mile 3 previous owner car ...yes there where 3 parking dents as described in the advert , i put on 24 Hi deff photos on the advert which you had not seen as you viewed on your phone which only shows 12 photos,,, I asked for a whats app video of the roof not working , which it did and still does and which i did not get..regarding lite scratches around the handbrake ( bengal tiger comment ) it is painted plastic !!!!!!!!! . i offered you to get another valet if needed to which you declined... when the car got back here i got other people to have a look ( just for my own sanity ) and no one could believe it....a second hand car which has covered nearly a 100,000 miles and had 3 familys use it , will have some age related marks. i am not a kia main dealer and the low price reflected on that ....something immaculate will be twice the price .....

Thats great , and a pleasure to see you, All the best, Regards David
I had been looking for a particular car for a couple of weeks but couldn't find a suitable one in my area. After widening my search, up popped the car I wanted. I gave David a ring and asked if he could do a video, so I didn't have a wasted journey from Nottingham. I was going to have to travel by train to view. I liked what I saw and left a deposit so it would be reserved. I was picked up at the station in 'my car', and drove part of the way back as a test drive. It was just as good as he had said it was and I was happy to purchase. I was able to come home in it and am very pleased.

Saw a car advertised on EBay and after a telephone conversation with David we agreed on a price. As we live over 300 miles away and could not travel immediately we paid £100 deposit(knowing that this was non refundable) After a long drive down David spent time introducing us to the car before we left on our own for a test drive. The car was everything that David had promised. It was a pleasure doing business and would highly recommend anyone looking for a good car at a fair price. As our son in law is looking for a car we have left our "wish list" with David and hope to hear from him soon!!
