I bought a jaguar X type from this man it looked like a really nice car however after taking it to a garage for a. Oil change the mechanic called me to look at the underside of the car. It was that rotten that it seriously weekend the structure of the vehicle.i have tried numerous times to contact this man with no response image phoned text emailed and even sent a letter recorded delivery still no response. This is a man that thinks sticking his head in the sand his problems will go away.

This was a very unfortunate situation, and the issue has now been rectified with the customer receiving a full refund (despite bringing a highly aggressive man, who terrifyingly came to our family home shouting and threatening us in front of my children). For clarity this was a 12 year old, 120 thousand mile car, sold for £900, which came in to us as a part exchange quite unlike our normal newer higher spec vehicles. We had no way of knowing about the issues the customer reported before sale, but sold the vehicle "with faults/spares and repairs" (agreed and stated on invoice) and only a 6 week MOT due to overall condition - the car was very fairly priced for its overall age, mileage and condition as far as we were aware. An error was made with customer service largely due to significant mobile phone issues, and for that we apologies.
Purchased a car off David and within the first 3 days I needed front + rear brakes, back bracket and a new exhaust. Fair enough he paid £200 towards it, i still had to pay the remainder £195 out of my own pocket for issues that had NOT BEEN LISTED on the eBay ad. On top of that, here I am 22 days later in need of a new clutch, gearbox, bearings, flywheel and to top it all off the steering wheel has begun to have a mind of it’s own. Not at all a safe car to drive and this is honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had when buying a car, I’ve tried to contact David 15-20 times from different numbers at different times of the day but he’s no where to be found. I’ve had to skip days off uni and work to take the car back and forth from garages and that’s valuable time on top of the money I’ve already lost on a car that’s no good. Definitely would NOT RECOMMEND.

Tried numerous times to get hold of this man, been left with a car that went wron after driving it 150 miles, turns out the gear box is ruined, will have to be replaced along with clutch and a coil pack, who's going to pay for this?
Barnyard Trade Cars advertises vehicles but doesn't really want to sell them. Ive tried for 5 days to buy a car from this company nobody answers the phone or to texts. I had one message back from dozens that Ive sent to say they would be back at work following day still no answer 4 days on from that. Useless!

Sally, Unfortunately we are a small family business and are not always able to respond to texts/calls/emails when on holiday, ill, with children etc. We do ask people to leave messages and David does his best to respond to emails, texts and calls, especially when people have expressed genuine interest in a vehicle. It is clear we have been having some technical mobile issues recently too. I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

I have to say, this is a very similar experience to myself. I am trying to contact this company to view a Saab Convertible currently advertised on ebay. I have left a message on the mobile no. they advertise, with no response. I have also sent a 'Contact Buyer' message via ebay, but it got a delivery failure. Not sure how many cars they sell but getting hold of somebody really seems to be a bit of an issue.
I just bought a Citroen Berlingo from David at Barnyard Trade Cars. He was very pleasant and very helpful. The car is brilliant and I found him very straightforward to deal with :)
