Bought a car. It broke down 2 weeks 3 days later. RAC and Specialist mechanics said it had been unroadworthy when sold to me. MAF sensor pulled out, making car extra dangerous. DPF should have been at 5 mbars, was well over 1,000. Holes in exhaust with new pipe fitted, using jubilee clips. Unscrupulous, lying man, trading as a rogue trader. Business dissolved in 2015. Refuses to reimburse any money, only give an illegal MOT. Now lying about me buying a second hand exhaust for £100.00! I am.entitled a refund according to The Consumers Rights Acts of 2015. Man refuses to pay any money. Steer away, he seems genuine but he is an amazing actor.

DON’T BUY A CAR FROM HERE ! YOU’LL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED. Where do I start !! He’s a MASSIVE LIER ! Drive from Bournemouth to get a car from his garage which is 2hours 45, to a complete let down. He claimed the fuel leak from the injectors was “fixed”.... A LOAD OF RUBBISH ! There was a leak on the floor when we arrived after a test drive and talked a load of rubbish to us, trying to make us think it wasn’t the leak. The next day we cleaned the car, there was water on the road but thought it was from the clean.... less than 2/3days after purchase soon came to realise it was still leaking ! Took it to a garage to get checked out.... turns out HE DIDN’T fix it . The inside of the car stinks of fuel, especially when you lift the bonnet. Got a quote from a garage.... going to cost £900 !!!!!!!!!!!! He then DIDN’T REPLY TO MY MESSAGES although he was online, and DIDN’T PICK UP MY PHONE CALLS !!!!!!!!!! Didn’t help at all, worst customer service EVER. No proof of service history that he claimed they did..... he then went to say it was our fault ?? Although the leakage was there from the start ??????? Then claims how he doesn’t accept warranty? FURTHERMORE, HIS MOT’S ARE BEING DONE ILLEGALLY!!!!!!!!!! Got pulled over from police whilst driving back home after collecting the car, they checked the tier tread and it was UNDER THE LEGAL LIMIT !!!!!!!! THIS MAN IS VERY BLOODY DOGY ! PLEASE DON’T BUY A CAR FROM THIS GUY, I’VE LEARNT THE HARD WAY. Someone needs to shut this business down for good !! Absolutely disgusting, he doesn’t have a heart.

Bought a Jaguar XF from this dealer on 31/3/19. Got it home all the way to Cornwall to find numerous faults which were not included in writing on the advert or told to us at the time of the sale. This included the air conditioning not working (pipe disconnected), an oil leak and the brake hose pipe rubbing to name a few. We contacted the dealer the same day who advised us to take it to an independent garage to get information on what needs repairing then get back to him. This is what we did, the car went to the garage on 2/4/19 and the information required was sent to us the same day by the garage. We have been trying to get in contact with the dealer ever since via telephone and email and we have had no response whatsoever, 2 weeks after. As part of the price agreed they also said the car comes with a 30 day warranty (they said they would send the details by email), also the Jaguar service history (which they didn’t have available at the time of purchase) and they would send us wheel nuts and the bumper trims which were missing. We have received the wheel nuts but nothing else. Funnily, these wheel nuts were posted to us on 4/4/19 by which time we had tried contacting at least 20 times by phone and twice via email - so it’s obvious our calls and emails are being ignored! We are absolutely appalled by the service we have received (or not received in this case) by this company. We currently have a case opened with trading standards and also we are getting advice from our solicitor regarding a possible legal case.

Bought a T5 off Barry Trade Sales and the dual mass flywheel is shot to bits only tell when the engine was cold £1000 later, the key fob is knackered £400 to replace ( 2 ) and it needs a service and change the cam belt and water pump. So in summary stay cleared
Steam cleaned engine bay, causing Pully's to seize resulting in belts coming off and breaking down. Now Barry Trade Sales wont agree to pay for the damages despite the car only being with us for 2 weeks. Wont give out his email to log a complaint. Will now escalate to the financial ombudsman if he does not agree to pay for repairs within 2 weeks. Not an honest trader. Sound genuine on the phone but you will pay for repairs.
Bought a car on 12/5/18, electrical fault, wont answer calls or messages. car is unusable

I brought a Peugeot 307 from Barry Trade Sales on the 6th April 2017, ever since i have had problems after problems, they had steam cleaned the engine which caused problems with the spark plugs, causing me to break down and pay for a repair for this. But now the Head gasket has packed up causing me to have to pay over £500 as this has damaged many parts including the cam belt. Under the Consumers rights act of 2015 this gentleman should by law pay for the repair, which he is now refusing. We had come to a reasonable agreement that he would only have to pay £200 and i would make up the rest, again he is not willing to comply. Would not recommend.

I visited Barry Trade Car Sales under a promise over the phone that there was two cars to view, on arrival was told the one I was really interested in was sold and was sort of pushed into trying out the second car , which I did . I luckily know enough about cars which ones are any good and which ones are not . In my opinion the car I viewed was a valeted well car , but this does not hide what is going on underneath. 250 mile journey wasted , shall not be visiting again. Bring a mechanic with you if you are thinking of buying a car from these guys .

Vehicle was sold as part exchange to clear for £850 discounted from £999. 54' Peugeot 307 1.4. We wouldn't look to spend on the car months down the line. Typical scenario come to see the cheapest on net, wanted the discount, was told it was a part ex to clear with no warranty, first problem down the line ring the dealer and write bad reviews.
