I totally agree with the negative comments it’s a shame I didn’t see this before the purchase. I spent £13k on a car in June 2023 I asked for a few things to be rectified with the car he was getting a little annoyed with my husband and I and advised it’s a used car!!! One of the faults was the door lock it makes a noise when locking he told me he will get this sorted. Since June 2023 like other customers he has ignored my emails. I know the email works as when I had an issue with the bank details to pay the money he soon answered. My husband saw him at the garage and Paul advised him he would get this sorted! It’s April 2024, still no word and he doesn’t have the garages at Feering or Bocking. He has disappeared I am unsure where he is trading from. The car had an electric boot this wasn’t working and Paul advised that the button on the boot was fake no wires are going to it! When at the petrol station after the purchase my husband found a switch which made the electric boot work! So I agree with all the comments! CON MAN, AFTER SALES TERRIBLE. DONT TRUST WHAT HE TELLS YOU.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I had the misfortune to encounter Paul Gaines. I gave Paul a deposit for a car, which I never received! I did receive lots of excuses though.., Anyway, long story short. I asked for my deposit back. I didn’t receive it, so I went to my bank, who are investigating this conman and refunding me. Anyway, suddenly Paul decides to call and text me, with more lies and the last message to me was “I have fucked him up and he is on his way to come and find me”… Nice! Considering Paul has MY MONEY I am not sure why he is getting so annoyed!!!!! To date, my phone has gone quiet and I have reported this vile man to Kent Police. Don’t threaten women Paul, it’s not a good look!

I need to express my dissatisfaction with the recent purchase of a Ford Kuga from beacon hill used car centre. I purchased the car on February 25th and within three weeks of owning it, warning lights were displayed and eventually, the engine failed. As the car was still within the 3-month warranty period, I expected a straightforward process to get it repaired. However, I took it to Revlac garage and I cannot fault these as they were nothing but helpful throughout the process. But 2 days later I was told by Mr. Gaines that nothing was wrong, and I was asked to collect the car from the garage. Within 10 minutes of leaving the garage, the engine shut down a second time, which was very dangerous on the A12. I immediately returned the car to the garage. From that point on, I experienced nothing but problems and manipulation from Mr. Gaines. Despite requesting a refund under the consumer rights act, which I was entitled to after gaining legal advice, every email I sent was ignored, and the issue remained unresolved. Mr Gaines then told me that he had booked the care into Ford but when I called Ford, I was informed that it had not been booked in, despite Mr. Gaines telling me otherwise. After being without a car for almost four weeks, I was eventually able to speak to the Ford garage who finally had the details of my vehicle, who informed me of multiple faults with the vehicle. Mr. Gaines had instructed them not to inform me of these issues, but as it was legally my car, they shared this information with me. Following this, Mr. Gaines finally offered me a refund, and I made my way to his garage. Ten minutes before I arrived, he informed me that he could not issue the refund that day, despite sending me an email stating otherwise. I explained that I had not received the email as I had been driving for over an hour to get to him. He refused to refund me and asked me to leave all relevant paperwork with him and that he would process the refund the following morning. Due to the continuous lies and unprofessional behaviour towards me, I was not willing to leave the documents with him. The following day, I returned to his garage for the refund, and he explained that he did not have time. However, I had email proof of the date and time of the appointment, and he finally issued a full refund. Throughout this experience, Mr. Gaines has been unprofessional and manipulative, ignoring me at every opportunity. I urge potential customers to take their business elsewhere and to be cautious when dealing with this establishment. My experience has been very stressful, and I wish I had checked previous reviews before purchasing from this business. As a customer, I expected more when spending my money, and it is unfortunate that I have to write this. I am sure Mr Gaines will try and turn this on me if he does reply but I felt only necessary to leave a review so this does not happen to anyone else.

I purchased a £19000 Galaxy FD66 MYS against a traded in Mondeo for which I was offered £3000. When I went to collect the car my Mondeo had dropped to £2600 due to 'an error in valuation'. At this point I should have gone home, but foolishly carried on. Next item, Paul Gaines taxed the wrong car using my card, my Mondeo, a simple oversight perhaps except that it took me two months to be reimbursed. Two items were missing and four months later one still is, but the worst part is a defective headlight that I didn't discover until a night drive which still hasn't been replaced 'because they are expensive' despite their maintenance people at Revlac stating it needs replacing. How did this thing pass an MOT I ask myself? Four months on and still no headlight, disgusting, zero after sales service when the car should never have been sold like it. So beware, check any purchase you do make thoroughly and stick to your price, annoyingly the rest of the Galaxy is excellent, I just can't drive it at night. Once they've got your money, you're history, so be warned.

Paul Gaines from Beacon Hill Used Car Centre in response to No after sales service
I wish to reply to this unfair review, the issue with the headlight was we having to search for an exact match as this vehicle was fitted with a certain type of headlight, in terms of the car passing an MOT the MOT station confirmed to the customer this would not be an MOT failure, also the headlight has been rectified, in terms of the customer with his part ex valuation he was invited as a result of the error to withdraw from the sale with any monies refunded and he choose to continue to purchase, like many of these situations unfortunately there are always two sides to all situations.
I can’t speak for other people on here but the service I received was excellent, very helpful, everything as we had discussed, one of the nicest people I met in my hunt for a new car, defiantly would recomend

Purchased a car over a year ago from Beacon Hill Used Car Centre. Nice selection of cars and a few issues identified with the car which Paul agreed to fix. Paul lied. The electric roof was not fixed despite numerous trips to his mate’s garage in Witham. Paul offered a pathetically low amount to buy the car back, despite it only being driven a couple of hundred miles. Do not be fooled by Paul’s false promises and non pushy sales technique. Don’t believe a word he says and take your money elsewhere. Clearly many of the reviews on Google are fake.

Paul Gaines from Beacon Hill Used Car Centre in response to AVOID - PAUL IS A LIAR
This is a false review, so please ignore, I have no knowledge of this and the garage we use, Revlac have never seen any vehicle with this desciption, it is a shame people leave lies to damage my business.

I can assure you, Paul, that I did buy a Mini Countryman from you with a defective electric roof. DC11DUU. Mark at Revlac is a nice bloke and he was baffled with your awful lies and attempts at trying to bodge fix the electric roof. You even suggested I fraudulently claimed on the car warranty that I’d purchased with the car clearly I was not prepared to do as the fault was already present on sale of the car.

I totally dis agree with this response, and to write my reviews are false is slander, this man is meant to be a police officer, who wrote this original review with no mention of name is wrong, I have tried to help every customer over 12 years of trading, as people will see there are not endless lists of people unhappy with my service, total lies, I try and help everyone
My partner purchased a car from this garage last year, they are nothing but friendly until you pay for the vehicle then all the problems happen. The minute we got it home it was smoking and too dangerous to drive. They refused to refund us and take the car back. Instead took it to a dodgy garage to fix on the cheap and try to make it drive until Warrenty ran out. 3 times we took the car back and still doesn't drive. My partner tried contacting them about it and has now been blocked on Facebook. All I can say is avoid avoid avoid

WISH IT GAVE ME AN OPTION TO MINUS THE STARS BUT SHAME I STILL HAVE TO GIVE A POSITIVE ONE. STAY WELL CLEAR!! HUNGRY INDIVIDUAL, AGREED ON CAR TOOK DEPOSIT (£1000) BUT SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE AS THEY OFFERED HIM MORE MONEY.
No V5, Could not complete a V62 as did not know the previous owner, had to tax it via a dodgy method and its still not showing as taxed. He did not show me around the vehicle or thank me for my business, the guy is rude and arrogant
Paul Gaines from Beacon Hill Used Car Centre in response to Shocking Service
These comments are simply untrue, this was a lady who had no manners and opened her conversation with us saying "carry you hurry up as I have bad guts today" very nice !! the car was taxed and as her finance company was aware there was no V5 so a v62 was completed, a very rude customer who I would never wish to deal with again !!!
