When I purchased my car recently, I collected the car uncleaned and generally in a dirty condition. After driving off I noticed that both wiper blades were in poor condition, one held in place with a cable tie. I didn't give it another thought as just £5 to replace but just around a month on and I have had to have the rear brake pads and discs replaced and further to this advised that the front brake pads and discs will need replacing in the next few months. Taking into account that the vehicle had just gone through the MOT with no advisories, although the guy I saw when collecting the vehicle said that a couple of bushes needed replacing which had been done after the MOT, I am somewhat amazed. After contacting the owner (Mr Charles Proctor) there has been talk of a contribution towards these costs, but no contact from him/them since Saturday morning and stating 'not at work this weekend will respond on monday'. Needless to say another two days on and nothing, I have contacted the Trading Standards office in Lincolnshire accordingly and hope that this comes to something - it isn't the money, more important is the principal and the acceptance of responsibility. I would also question why they use an MOT test centre 40 miles away, assuming that the cars do actually go to the MOT test centre?
