I was looking for a low mileage car with low mileage and FSH and came across these guys. Chris the owner was very helpful. Once we agreed a price he and his technician prepared the car for collection and undertook everything they had promised.It came with 6 months AA warranty which is re-assuring, 12 months MOT and very well valeted. I would definitely use them again or recommend Bells Garage to anyone looking for a used vehicle

Ive known Chris a few years and we've had a couple of cars off him and had servicing and mots etc as well. He's always upfront and tries to do the best for you. We are still running the Getz we had about 5 years ago from him. It's a great little runner and we've never had any problems with it. Will be replacing it with another from his garage soon.

I have had a very stressful experience with Bells Garage, and unfortunately, I can't recommend them at all. I bought a Citron c4 of him and unfortunately, the situation went from bad to terrible very quickly. I couldn't test drive the car as I didn't have the correct insurance, so I went off his words (perfect runner) First of all Chris gave me the car with a completely empty tank, so I had to take a walk down to the local petrol station to fill up a can. Within a week the car started juddering, so I informed Chris and he took the car in. The car ending going in over 5 times with this issue and they never fully sorted it. Chris was really cagey about what they were actually doing to the car. I took a trip down to London after they had the car in the garage so it seemed to be working fine and then I had an engine warning light come up so I pulled aside, I called the AA and the mechanic said the fuel pump had split. Soi informed Chris the same day and he took the car back in. This is where he really let himself down, as he told me he would have a look at the car, so I left him to it. A few days later he rang me and said he has bought an engine to replace the damaged one. I never told him to buy the new engine, and he wanted £1000 to put the engine in. There was no way I am paying him for something he didn't inform me he was going to do. Please keep in mind that we had the car for under 6 months and by law, i am protected by The consumer's rights act 2015. He refused to do anything with the car unless I paid up, basically holding it hostage. Chris also tried to get me to lie to his AA warranty about the date of the accident. The car sat in his garage from Nov 2018 until March 2019 without hearing anything from him. Thankfully as I bought from a finance company I have had my contract waived. This has been a horrible experience, and I'm glad its all over.

Chris Simmonds (the owner) is always a very cheerful, friendly and extremely helpful person, who does everything in his power to ensure you are a satisfied customer. Nothing is too much trouble for him and his honesty, integrity and willing to please is really appreciated. I trust him implicitly. Have dealt with him now for about 20 years.
