Purchased a car from Bexhill motors in july 2022 for £11,700 , asked about a part ex in july 2023 (12 months later and 1,300 miles on said car (19,060 miles total)) I was offered between £7,000 and £8,000 , due to the current market , i then contantacted one of their other branchers pretending to buy a used car and said about the high used prices only to be told that used prices are still high , so total lies ....they sell you a used car over priced as the market is uo but will offer you a pitance for the same car as the market is low ....AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Bexhill Motors from Bexhill Motors Terminus Road in response to Overpriced ! unvalued PX !
You did indeed purchase a Mazda MX5 from another of our branches for £11,700 and you did indeed enquire about a possible part exchange valuation a few weeks ago. Firstly, we never offered you £7,000 - £8,000, we merely informed you of its current HPI CAP trade value at the time (this is the valuation system the majority of car dealers, finance companies and insurance companies use) - these are guide prices and not set in stone. Values do fluctuate month on month and some vehicles have recently risen in value where some have also dropped in value. Every vehicle retailer sells their vehicles at suggested retail prices and purchase or take part exchange vehicles at their suggested trade prices - this is how the motor trade works. There are a lot of factors and data which influence current values and these are not something we have any control over.
Mark C in response to Overpriced ! unvalued PX !
This is my response to Bexhill Motors reply The only way for such a price drop on the purchase price is I was over charged for the car in the first place ! I paid £11,700 for the car , you had it up for £12,000 , I will quote your salesman "the days of making more than £1,000 on a car are long gone" so if thats true you paid £11,000 for the car.....NOT A CHANCE! if the book price this month was betweet 7k-8k then last year it would be probally 7.5k-8.5k/8k-9k , the fact is YOU OVER CHARGED FOR THE CAR ! but when i was looking for a part ex you use the book price guide and at the same time your sales people still say used prices are still high (above book) .I will not use you again and i will not recomend you , I would ask everyone reading this look around other dealers for the same cars and you will find Bexhill Motors are high .....don't trust .. check prices from other dealers

I park exchanged my car with Adam at Bexhill motors. He’s been the most caring, kind and helpful person I know. I don’t know where I would be today without the amazing support he’s provided to myself as a customer! Great knowledge of all motors. Extremely hopeful. Thank you again for all your support! Brought a car from these cowboys and have had nothing but problems. Very unhelpful and don't care about you once they have sold you the car. They sold us a dangerous car that will be expensive to fix. They are unwilling to help or replace the car!!!!
James Over from Bexhill Motors Terminus Road in response to Terrible Service!!
We're sorry to read you are not happy with Bexhill Motors, but we've been nothing but helpful to you and your wife. If we didn't care and are very unhelpful, then we will list a few facts to perhaps jog your memory. Firstly your wife purchased a 2015 vehicle from another of our branches in August 2019. The vehicle was supplied with a three month warranty which expired in November 2019. You first made us aware that a seatbelt was twisted and the brakes were squeaking shortly before the warranty expired. The seatbelt was untwisted and as the front brakes had plenty of pad life left, these were removed, cleaned and refitted. In December you made us aware that the brakes were still squeaking and the tracking needed adjusting. We would like to point out that brakes and tracking are not items covered under ANY warranty, but being nice helpful people, we then replaced the front brake pads and adjusted your tracking as goodwill - we would like to point out your warranty had expired by now. You then contacted us early 2020 to mention your front suspension was making a noise and someone else you know had said it could be the front suspension top mounts? We agreed to look at this for you, but genuinely could not fault the suspension or get it to make the noise you mentioned? This then escalated into you saying the issue had always been there. Even though we could not fault the suspension, we replaced the top mounts for the sake of it as another goodwill gesture. Unfortunately, you did experience a few very minor issues which were dealt with even though you were out of warranty. You mentioned we are very unhelpful and don't care about you once we have sold you a car? We are sure reading the above which are true facts proves COMPLETELY that we do care and we are very helpful.
Brilliant service from Mick and the team at Bexhill Motors on the Terminus Road. Will be coming back in future.
Absolutely disgusted with Bexhill Motors. Once they have your money, the after care is shocking. Their repair service is awful. They arent willing to help sort issues on the car. Just demand the car back so they can sell it for no money. No one will give his direct contact details, just told to email via the garage and he will pick them up!!!! But he never does. All emails are intercepted by Adam.
Staff from Bexhill Motors Terminus Road in response to Awful garage
You purchased a 2007 Ford Focus 2.5 ST from ourselves and two months later complained of an intermmitent noise from the suspension This was looked at by ourselves, but we could not hear the noise you complained of. This was after two days of diagnosis and several road tests. You then demanded it went to your local Ford main dealer to be fixed. We agreed to pay the dealer to diagnose the issue, They also couldn't fault it, but suggested the front suspension was stripped down and refitted. We were not prepared to pay a main dealer to do this work, but we did pay an independent garage to do exactly what Ford suggested, which you agreed to. After the suspension work was carried out you was adamant the noise was still occurring every now and then. At this stage we offered you a FULL refund. This means First Response finance would get the advance of £5500 returned and we would return your £500 deposit. We couldn't have been more fairer as this would have allowed you to return the vehicle and purchase something else elsewhere. To say we demanded the car back is a complete lie. For your information, you purchased the car for £5995, we would have returned the £5995 you paid, then we would have retailed the Focus for £5995 again, so we fail to see where we would have made more money. Also with the extensive testing, paying a main dealer to diagnose and then a independent garage to strip & refit the suspension, this all cost considerable money, so we also fail to see where your comments regarding awful repair service and not willing to help came from?????
Bought an expensive low mileage car from Bexhill Motors in March 17 and within one week it had a starting problem. The car has been back to them several times and each time they give you car back and say that the issue has been resolved. Joke - each time within two weeks the same problem has returned. Having now rejected the vehicle under the sale of goods act and got the finance company involved they no longer want to deal with you. Next stages is legal action and they can pay my legal costs. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Staff from Bexhill Motors Terminus Road in response to WARNING - DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE
As with all negative reviews the facts are never correct!! We did not have the Jaguar back within a week but i believe it was two months later. The starting "problem'" with the vehicle as you have explained is that once every two weeks or so instead of starting immediately within a few seconds it takes roughly 30 seconds to start?? We had your vehicle into our workshops and could never get it to replicate the "fault" after constantly starting the vehicle for days on end. In fact we sent the Jaguar to our local diesel fuel injection specialist who after five days testing could also not fault the starting of the vehicle. For the sake of it we replaced the fuel filter once your car was back with us and you then had the car back. After another two months we had the Jaguar back this time for three weeks to do some extensive testing of the starting issue. We did however on one occasion notice it took a few seconds longer than normal to start but everything mechanical and electrical checked out fine. We sent the vehicle to our local Land Rover specialist (this being as Jaguar and Land Rovers share the same engines and electrical systems) who have recently invested in state of the art official Jaguar/ Land Rover diagnostics who again could not fault the starting of the vehicle. They did find a connector on the fuel delivery system that had very very slight corrosion and this was replaced and all fuel modules reset and calibrated for the sake of it. You was then on the phone to us complaining about how long we was taking trying to fix the Jaguar and saying that the 2012 courtesy vehicle we lent you free of charge was not good enough and you wanted your vehicle back as you was paying £300 a month to finance it. A few days later you had your car back on the understanding that we may have sorted the starting issue but could not be certain as in the three weeks we had the Jaguar it took a few seconds longer to start than normal on one occasion. We have spent hundreds and hundred of pounds and countless hours trying to get to the bottom of the starting delay and must stress that the vehicle has never ever failed to start. As annoying as the issue is for you we feel that a car just shy of 10 years old that takes 10 seconds to start once a month is not a major problem and also it is not Bexhill Motors fault that you live 60 miles away. We feel that with recent changes in your personal circumstances that you have made us aware of, you are looking for a way out of your finance agreement and trying to reject it is an easy way out especially with a fault that is impossible to replicate??
