The below review represents my opinions only. My wife recently saw a car she really liked, (surprisingly) low miles, and so placed a holding deposit on it until we could visit the site... despite reading the poor reviews! Mistake. 30 minutes later, the price had increased by £500! 24 hours later, it was up by £1000! When I called to enquire, I was told in no uncertain terms that there was ‘interest’ in the car, and that WILL be the new price, despite my deposit. Yeah right! I am a customer with just shy of £20k to spend... lots to some, peanuts to others, but I will not be treated like this. I get the pricing system... a lot of low price airlines adopt it - when demand is high, prices rise etc. BUT, for £20k, I’m not looking for low price and budget. And I’ve never seen the system employed so openly and brashly on car sales! So, back to the inter web and... surprise! I found a similar car (better colour), same age (within 6 months), same (low) mileage from a MAIN DEALER! And we are talking a premium brand here. Full main dealer service history. Offered with 1 year MAIN DEALER warranty. Next due service completed complimentary. Drive away insurance. Even a full tank of fuel. No £200 laughable “admin charge” for the pleasure of taking my money and washing the car! No driving around Kent after parting with money to try and find a log book and spare keys. So today we went to pick up my wife’s new car. From the main dealer. What a pleasure it was. Treated like true customers. Nothing too much trouble. Full ‘Unveiling’ of the car, in the showroom. Keys presented to her in a box, attached to keys rings (nice touch!) Video of it even! Absolute peace of mind. Oh... did I tell you that with BMWorlds ‘new’ price, her car was £1500 CHEAPER than BMWorld?!?!! Yep! And, I’m sure, if you needed finance for it, they could have arranged it just as easily for you. Save yourself the trouble... the owner is already worth over £50 mil... he doesn’t need any more of your hard earned cash. Go somewhere where it, and you, will be actually valued and treated like a customer. Shame on you BMWorld. I will never consider you again, and will ensure everyone that asks me is made aware of my experience and opinion.

How I loose over £3000 at Big Motoring World! This year I brought a Jaguar XF, paid £2000 upfront and choose all the extra including GAP and 2 years warranty. After 3 months I had an accident and the car was written off. Auto Protect, the Gap company paid me a part of my costs but NOT 100%. They left me to pay £1300 to finish my credit line and when I asked for my £2000 upfront simply they did not reply to my message since before. Bad experience. Do NOT recommend.

I spent over £13,000 on a Mercedes from Big Motoring World in West Malling. Between viewing the car and when I went to collect the car someone had driven into the car and scraped the front bumper. Given that their cars are kept on a secure compound and only their staff are able to drive inside their compounds, the conclusion is that one of their staff had driven into my car. Nobody called me to tell me this before I spent half a day driving to collect the car. When I arrived (half an hour late) to the collection site, my car wasn't there. 2 hours later the car arrived (my lift was long gone) and only then did someone finally tell me what had happened. The sales assistant stated they would obviously fix the issue as it was clearly their fault and asked if I would like to the come back and collect the car another day. This clearly wasn't an option as I had no way of getting all the way back home. It was agreed that I would take the car and they would arrange for the damage to be repaired. It was agreed that I would not be expected to drive the car all the way back to Maidstone for the repairs to take place and that I would get a call on the Monday to arrange. 3 weeks later and countless hours worth of emails, phone calls and a formal complaint and they have finally offered £100 for a repair that will cost well over twice that. They are happy for me to spend over a day driving the car back to them, return home whilst they repair it, go back to collect it and drive it back again but they are outright refusing to pay the full cost of a local repair, despite the assurance they made at the time of the collection. Their manner & conduct in dealing with this has been frankly dreadful, and instead of accepting full responsibility for damage they have done to my car, they seem to be of the opinion that I should have to cover the repair costs. I usually buy much cheaper cars and have never had such an awful sales-experience which makes this so much more baffling. Cut-price-cars with more-than-cut-price service. In order to sell you the car they will promise you the best after sales service, an amazing cover-everything warranty, a nationwide repair network....the truth of the matter is appallingly different. For me there is a huge investment of trust from the customer in the dealer when buying a car, and because of this I will never ever buy another car from Big Motoring World. I would much rather pay a bit more next time and deal with people who have a modicum of self-respect, integrity and a sense of responsibility.

I had booked a test drive online for an used Volkswagen Passat. On reaching there the customer representative said they cannot allow a test drive unless we agree on a deal. How am I supposed to agree a deal without test driving? I wasted 3 hours driving to and fro only not to be able to do a test drive when in fact I got an email confirmation to say test drive was booked in!!! Once the finance options were shown I requested a copy for us to think about it, was refused (fair enough) but the rep said he will write down the details for my reference, but no, a small piece of paper with his number was given. A few time we were asked about our jobs, looked up & down, felt as if we were being assessed. Shoddy customer service! Very unhelpful. Went a small local dealership and the difference was like heaven & earth. Avoid Big Motoring World if possible. Make sure you get confirmation verbally before visiting

5* service until you’ve purchased the car! Customer service is absolutely disgusting, we where promised a service within the first year, just called to get it booked and the response I got was “do you have this in writing?” Which we don’t, more fool us but it goes to show the sales reps are allowed to promise everything to you but unless it’s in writing forget it! My dad also bought at car at the same time and had to spend £2k on repairs because they refused to cover labour and parts even though he took out the warranty. The car was already buggered. Massive scam and Big Motoring World West Malling should be shut down for taking advantage of people!
This is William here, i would like to share my misfortune and the injustice from Big Motoring World. 6 years ago, in the middle of my dealing to buy a car from Big Motoring. i met with a very serious accident and was in a coma for 6 years. i am bed ridden for the longest time and i woke up a few months ago as god still want me on earth. i got about 10,500 pounds transferred to Big Motoring World as deposit to purchase a car in June 2013. I got all the banking documents and email conversation as proof and i showed it to them. However, they denied everything. Because of the terrible accident, all my life saving had gone to my medical fee and it took a toll on my family. My wife and kids left me and i am all alone with high medical debt. I would really hope i can seek some kind of justice and have my money back. I have reported this to the police. Thank you all for listening.

Avoid these people. Modern open plan offices. Lulls you into a false sense of security. Sales assistant ok, but manager dodgy Arthur Daly type. Poorly presented cars. No physical docs available to examine. Would not allow an independent assessment say from AA or RAC & seemed genuinely offended when I asked about this The car supermarket set up is a high turnover low margin model. This means no after-sales, and cars of dubious source, plus presentation is not high on agenda Go to main dealer of bit privately, but avoid Big Motoring World.

I WOULD AVOID BIG MOTORING WORLD. I have been back and forth regarding the various items (see below) and to top of off I have not had a response regarding my email (see below) that I sent this morning! I will be returning my car (that’s if it is my car) tomorrow! EMAIL Good morning, Further to various emails and telephone calls I have attached the invoices below that are due to be paid by you. First one is for: The car key (as I was not provided with a spare) this is in the sum of £233.74 + VAT There is also an added item of the wipers at a cost of £27.84 +VAT Total to be paid on this invoice is £261.58 + VAT The second invoice is for the car tyres. When we viewed this car we queried the tyres on the vehicle and the sales person Matthew assured us that the tyres where 4m as he had them checked for us and that your policy was that you do not send out cars under 3m. I have had the car looked at by Nissan and they flagged up 2no. tyres, one was 2m and the other 2.5m. I called your office yesterday and was put through to Ben the manager at the West Malling Branch and told him everything regarding the tyres and he had a cheek to say to me I should have measured them myself. I do not expect to measure tyres on a vehicle that I have paid over £13k for and was assured by the Matthew that they had been checked when we flagged them up that they was 4m. This is in the sum of £173.59 inclusive of VAT. Also please see the health check for the tyres. I do not understand why 2no. tyres are 2 and 2.5 and the other 2no. tyres are 6? This makes me believe that the original tyres had been taken off and put on another car and replaced with ones with less tread. When we bought this car we were assured that everything was checked over and in working order. The window wipers should have been changed as this was flagged up red when checked by Nissan. When you "checked the car" as a car with only 16707 mileage on the car should be in top shape. In regards to the lock wheel nut (as per previous emails) this has had to be ordered in and you will be receiving the invoice in due course. I am extremely disappointed in this "reputable company" and I have decided to take this matter further with all my evidence and report you to the Motoring Ombusman, Trading Standards and whatever other means I deem necessary. The only good thing I have to say about your company is that Jaz was friendly and helpful when we arrived to pick up the car and was told you had no log book but this wasn't a problem as all we had to do was go to the post office to tax the car and we could drive it off... This was not the case and a few hours later Jaz managed to "go through a back door way" and tax the car for us... Which by the way I still have not received my log book or confirmation that I am in fact the legal owner of this vehicle. Jaz was also helpful in sorting out the spare key situation... I was advised I would receive it special delivery in 5 days after buying the car by your Snodland branch. This did not happen and I called Jaz and he said that would never have been the case as I needed to take it to Nissan and get one cut and they would refund me the money. Also when we went to Snodland branch to pick up the key and paper work we had to wait over an hour as they could not find it and AGAIN I had to call Jaz and he managed to sort this out. ANOTHER time Jaz helped was when I was looking for the locking wheel nut (Nissan advised me to look for this before I arrived for the service) I could not find this in the car and Jaz said he would pay for a new one and if they could not order one he would pay for them to break them off. When I emailed Sofia at the Snodland branch she advised me that the locking wheel nut should be there and sent me a "picture of "my" car" with the locking wheel nut inside (see attached). I emailed Sofia a picture of my car with no locking wheel nut and completely different to the picture that was sent to me. I had to call the West Malling branch as Sofia didn't believe me (why I would go to so much trouble to get a locking wheel nut if I had one already is beyond me), UNFORTUNATELY Jaz was not in the office and I have to deal with Ben, after explaining everything confirmed he would pay for it (Jaz already confirmed it) few more emails back and forth to the Snodland branch was finally confirmed by email. THEN I get the health report back by Nissan and the tyres are flagged (see earlier in email) and I call and speak to Ben and he said its our company policy not to send tyres out under 3 and the legal requirement 1.6. That is all well and good but the tyres where under 3 (2 and 2.5) and that your company actually broke your company policy and LIED about the tyres. This is completely unacceptable. I have children in this car and if anything would of happened whilst driving to the tyres with my children in this car is not worth thinking about and this is unacceptable. Then Ben had to check to say I should have measured the tyres... This is unacceptable and does every customer who comes to you have to bring their own measures devices to check the tyres? Ben then said to my partner to send the tyre measurement and IF they had them in stock he would change them: 1: I was not risking driving this car all the way to West Malling (would of been the third visit to this place and many more hours wasted here) with tyres that are 2, 2.5 and 2no. 6s. 2. These tyres should have been replaced when we flagged it up. Also there is the case of being sold warranty when I did not need it as my car is under 3 years old and comes with manufacture warranty for 3 years. I only found this out when I called Nissan. I called your company and explained I did not need this and was told it was ok as I was still within my "14 days period" and they issued me a refund. This is something that your sales team should know!! How many other people have been miss sold warranty?? All in all I have had a very bad experience with this company and I will be reporting you and letting others know to be careful and give them a lift of things to check. I await my payment ASAP. regards Claire

Bought a Bmw with 1ton of rust, brake pads need to be change, gears shift like a russian tractor, starter went bad after 1mount.When look for a car from this dealer dont trust sale persons. The only thing they care is the commision.Never will go back again to big motoring world.
Big Motoring World do not care about after sales. Your warranty is not worth the paper it is written out. Report to trading standards and citizens advice - these guys are crooks.
