Are you thinking of buying a used car from BM Motors? Well think again, we were left with a repair bill of £1,456 to rectify faults on a car which was not fit for purpose when sold to us by BM Motors. Whilst it's fair to say that during the sales process they appear to be very polite, accommodating and even somewhat laid back, our experience shows that the same cannot be said after parting with your hard earned money and driving off the forecourt. I urge you to take heed of the negative reviews others have left for BM Motors before deciding to spend your hard earned cash on any vehicle on sale at this garage. If, like many of their unhappy customers you purchase a car from BM Motors which subsequently you discover has or develops a major fault, they may well avoid fixing your car and you will be left to pick up the bill to rectify any issues which according to the Consumer Rights Act of 2015, they are responsible for. Whilst we appreciate vehicles are highly complex machines made up of millions of components, faults do develop. However, when we raised our concerns about the vehicle we purchased from BM Motors, their aftercare was utterly appalling. They were very quick to issue a scripted denial, without even offering to inspect our vehicle. They were adamant it had nothing to do with them, once you drive it off the forecourt, you are on your own. We were left high and dry. Their 3 month warranty wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. Please read and digest all the other negative reviews written by disgruntled customers who, like us, purchased a car from BM Motors in good faith then had to shell out a lot of money to rectify serious issues because BM Motors wouldn't accept responsibility. We aren't the first victims. We won't be the last. According to other reviews for this garage, some customers have even had to resort to scrapping their cars it as they were. As a result, and due to the total lack of care or interest from BM Motors, we had no choice but to either pay another garage to rectify all the issues or scrap the vehicle. We ended up getting a timing chain kit fitted and dangerous/major defects fixed including but not limited to: Nearside Rear Tyre has ply or cords exposed (dangerous), Rear Direction Indicator incorrect colour (major defect), Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint excessively worn (major defect), Offside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit, Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn. None of which were identified at the point of sale. Total cost to make the car roadworthy and fit for purpose was a staggering £1,456 and so if you are still thinking of buying a car from BM Motors, I suggest you factor in an extra £1k - £2K as an insurance fund in case they decide not to take the responsibility of rectifying any faults.
