Border City Autos kept me updated throughout the whole process, very helpful and delivered on time.
Just bought a Volvo V70 from Chris at Border City Autos and cant fault the car or the excellent friendly service. Would certainly recommend them to anyone for the friendly positive attitude and saying things exactly as they are. a rare thing in the world of second hand car selling.

I bought a Mini last last year from Border City Autos. The car looked good and I was happy with the deal. There was a few paint chips however and they said they would sort them out. A couple of months later on a very bright day I picked up that the polishing has been done incorrectly. I took the car back in and they saw where the marks had been made (overpolishing). They told me these could easily be simply polished out by myself which I was going to do. However since taking the car to an body panel expert he has confirmed the marks are deeper and would need a compound used to get the paintwork right again, cost approx he said would be £150. I have rung them back and they are not interested on little bit with the problem they caused. They would not even discuss any remediation work unless they got paid the full cost of the repairs. In summary its a shame that having been very nice before and during the sale they are simply not interested once the car has left their forecourt. Buyer beware!

What the reviewer fails to notify in the somewhat negative post. Is that they wanted the car in a hurry, the car was polished to the best of our ability without going down the route of having any panels resprayed. The customer took a discount in lieu of this. It is completely absurd to approach a dealership to rectify some 6 months on.
I made the schoolboy error of driving down from Glasgow to spend £9000 on an eight year old BMW advertised with "full service history" that was being sold by Border City Autos. By the time I got back to Glasgow the headlight washer stalks were jammed in the out position and the traction control warning light was on. I spoke to BCA but they didn't seem interested in sorting the faults and given ben the distance and time off work involved, I had them sorted locally. After a further two weeks of the tyre pressure light coming on once a week I took the car to Kwik -fit to be told that the tyre was the wrong size ( dangerous, illegal and insurance negating) again I had no choice but to get sorted in Glasgow. Basically the car had the following inherent faults from day 1, Faulty headlight washers £274, Misaligned wheel triggering TCS £100, Wrong tyre size £94. For each fault I phoned up to be told that the "service department" would phone me back. I assume the service department is the big friendly dog which sleeps in reception because I'm still waiting. The Advert also made a big deal about having a full service history. I made the mistake of asking for this after I had bought the car (my mistake I know). After a lot of elaborate pocket patting and drawer rifling it turned out they didn't have the history after all But since it was BMW dealership they could "print it off easily". Two months later a got a couple of crumpled photocopied pages number 14 and 15 with nothing on them actually tying them to the car turned up . When I phone to ask if they came from a longer log book I was told that they "didn't know" where the pages came from. and that me asking the BMW dealership about it would be a waste of time. I appreciate than its a eight year old car and these guys ship em in and ship em out but nearly £500 worth of additional repairs is a bit much in conjunction with a service history that a future buyer will laugh at. Like I say..... make sure you live close by as you're likely to back a few times.

I went with my son Daniel to Border City Autos to buy him his first car, Daniel was very happy with the car and the young lad who helped us on the day was a credit to the dealership, he was so helpful and called up on 3 occasions after the sale to check up and make sure everything was going well. With it being his first car I really wanted everything to go well and I'm so pleased that it did.
